This shoot has been in the works for over a year, and is aiming to be one of the largest fan-film shoots yet. It is a large battle sequence between the two opposing Rebel and Imperial armies, and you have the chance to be part of this ambitious endeavor as a Rebel Soldier. It will be shot on the best MiniDV camera on the market (the AG-DVX100) with professional audio and stabilization equipment. People from all across Florida (and our guest cinematographer from North Carolina) are coming to be a part of this shoot, so come join us!

    WHEN:

If you are interested in being on crew, arrive at the specified location at 10:00 AM on July 24th.
If you are interested in being on cast, arrive at the specified location at 11:00 AM on July 24th.

Everyone is free to leave after 5:30 PM. However, if there are more things to finish due to weather problems or time management, you are invited to stay later.

If you are on cast, please plan to stay until at least 5:00 PM.

    WHERE:

Starkey Wilderness Park, which is roughly 25 minutes north of Tarpon Springs. If you are unfamiliar with the starting location, use Mapquest.com before you come. However, Mapquest has been proven unreliable for finding the final location. Directions are as follows:

Starting from the intersection of US 19 and Tampa Road,
Go NORTH on US 19 for about 20 - 30 minutes, until you get to State Road 54.
Turn RIGHT on State Road 54 and proceed for about 5 minutes, until you get to Little Road.
Turn LEFT on Little Road, and proceed for about 5 minutes, until you get to River Crossing.
Turn RIGHT on River Crossing, and proceed for about 5 minutes, until you get to Starkey Road.
Turn LEFT on Starkey Road, and proceed for about 1 minute, until you get to Wilderness Road.
Turn LEFT onto Wilderness Road, and enter Starkey Wilderness Park.
FOLLOW the road in Starkey Park all the way until you see a sign pointing to the CORRAL.
Turn RIGHT on that dirt road, and follow it to the Corral. Park there.

    INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW

IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST CALL AARON MOORHEAD BEFORE JULY 20th TO RSVP, OR PLACEMENT AS AN EXTRA CANNOT BE GUARANTEED! PLEASE CALL ASAP, DON?T WAIT FOR THE DEADLINE! Calls are appreciated only on the cell number at any time of day or night, and the home number until 10 PM. In addition, if you heard about this through a member of the crew, STILL CALL AARON MOORHEAD ONLY. He is the ONLY one through which you can RSVP.

Anyone over the age of 17 is invited to come out and experience this. We cannot guarantee a placement in the film, but anyone who comes out WILL BE FULLY CREDITED. Extras would be preferably male due to the nature of the scene, but females are invited to be part of the crew.

PLEASE bring with you anyone and everyone you would like. Bring friends, relatives, anyone who is interested. The more people we have, the better the shoot will look. As long Aaron Moorhead knows how many people are coming with you when you RSVP, any amount of people is fine.

You will be fed a lunch during the shoot at 1:30 PM.

Bring a dark pair of shoes or boots with you, if possible. Due to budgeting problems, proper footwear cannot be guaranteed to all extras.

Costumes will be provided for you, as well as props. However, if you feel you may have a costume or prop that could be useful, feel free to bring it.

Yes, because soldiers in the background that are 16 generally wouldn't be convincing enough to fit the part, even if they were way in the background. Seventeen was a general safe buffer of age, because a 17 year old could generally look like a conscripted soldier.

I won't beg you to take me seriously, because that is your own decision. However, if you would like legitimization, the Executive Officer of the Florida 501st Legion said in this call thread that "I can vouch for Aaron that he is not just some kid who got a camera for Christmas. He is very dedicated and professional". Please disregard my age, if you can do that. I was very hesitant to put my age on there, because I get stereotyped very often into a flakey, lazy, talentless slob like much of my generation. When it comes to filmmaking, I am not in that category.

I can give you a resume of my filmmaking endeavors, if that would help.

This is not the first shoot, and this fanfilm has been in production for quite some time. Here are some publicity photos:

There are many more where that came from. I know I am a stranger to you in Orlando, but I am hoping that this shoot could bring together fans from all over Florida. Fanfilms generally suffer from overambition, and they fail or look horrible because of it. This has not been and will not be one of those films. If you have any questions, feel free to call my cell phone, anytime.

Well since Im 15, I cannot act, and I doubt I would be able to come and watch, although if I could that would be interesting to see, since I'm an aspiring filmmaker. Goodluck Aaron.

You're from Triumvirate films? I watched many of your films a year or so ago, great work! For God and Country, while significantly low budget, had some great work in it. I really respect you guys.

EDIT: Let me make it clear that no one has to "act," that is to say, deliver lines. This is a battle sequence, and we pretty much only require extras to be soldiers. Also, no one will be needing to bring their own costume. I have spent almost a thousand dollars on costumes for this one shoot, so you only need to try to bring a dark pair of shoes because of the extreme expenses involved in footwear. Please do come on down!

If you would still like to come, it is not too late. You can come even if you are unable to RSVP, however, I cannot guarantee a costume reserved for you. The chances that we will have extra on hand are high, though.

Well I am not PERSONALLY from triumviratefilms. BUT I have known the guys for over a year now through online conversations, and we've all become pretty good friends. They live in South Carolina, or North Caroline, I cant remember, so I dont htink they would be able to make the shoot ;). But I must agree on they're low-budget filming, they can act, and thats all that counts. They plan on doing all they're stormtroopers in CGI, with Blender! If they every do get around to filming they're fanfilm, it will be truly amazing and interesting. I have been told some of the storyline to they're fanfilm, and it will truly be awsome if it ever becomes a reality.

I'm sorry to say that I dont think I will be able to make your filming shoot, but if I do get any chance in going, I will take it. I'd love to be there and see how you guys do things. Goodluck!

Anthony, you can never make it ANYWHERE, huh? lol

I won't now go off on what everyone hear knows that I feel about a majority, not all, of fan films. With this shoot tomorrow, I hope it all goes well, and I hope, in the end, it is a great fan film. If it is, it would be one of probably two or three good ones out there.

At the very least, and I even told Stefanie about this so she can back me up, this one seems to be thought out and planned, at least from what I have seen posted here and elsewhere.

Good luck, and I really wish more people from here were going to make it to the filming. True, I'm not, but still, we never got a fan film together and this is one in our "back yard," so to speak. Remember to bring black foot wear. :)

I don't think we had any Orlando fanforce people in attendance (and with the driving distance involved and the fact that I'm a stranger to you all, I don't blame you one bit), but we did have a pretty good turnout. The battle sequence went very well, although it had its setbacks (like any shoot). We did get everything we wanted filmed.

It was a very entertaining shoot because it rained about halfway through the shoot, and so we were able to film a bit of it in the rain (my cinematographer had a rain fly). This will make for an extremely interesting sequence. Give me a little while and I will have pictures up for your enjoyment. Thanks!

I was in a 8 man canoe race at 4 am this morning and we had practice every day for the last week. I completely forgot to give my regrets earlier but will express them now. I'm sure it was fun and a true experience. I hope you get some great footage and look forward to seeing some of your shots. Thanks for the invite again and I hope to see more information on your fanfilm as it comes along. Thanks again!

Well, I don't think we were ignoring your post (regarding your bump), but there is just not much to say. :) It looks decent, but it's hard to judge until we see it all in motion, including the sound, music, acting, dialogue, and whatever else there needs to be. Now, if you ever have a shoot around the Orlando area, I'm fairly certain people will show up, but if not, just get it done so we can download it... we do wish to see it.
