As soon as we got off the plane Monday at the airport, we saw:

Been very temperate here. Tuesday we shopped the Outlet Center, then went to various casinos and shops on the strip. At M&M World:

Thursday night we go to the Venetian for:

    More later, maybe.

We now return to our regularly scheduled thread, already in progress.

Lots more good shopping on Wednesday.

Went to the expanded Forum Shops at Ceaser's Palace. Bigger than before if that's imagineable.
What used to be the end of the shops at the street front is now a 3 level rotunda with sweeping escelators surrounding statuary. Pictures when we return.

There are a series of collectible shops we've seen across the country, and at the outlet in the Forum Shops we saw for sale:

Geore Reeve's original Cape from Western Costume in a glass frame
Chris Reeve's original cape, similar display
Life Size Pepsi SW display figures of Jar Jar and Watto from TPM
Autographed prop pistols, swords and ships from Pirates
A life size unmasked Vader bust and helmet from Episode 6 (original Sebastian Shaw).

Prices -- more money than any 6 people in our club could consider.

    But beautiful to see.

Tonight - PHANTOM at the Venetian. Already shopped the boutique when we picked up the tickets. Can't wait to see this version.

That sounds really cool. Wish they had some of that stuff around here. Is there any way you could possibly get a few different angled pics of Watto. And Jar Jar if you have the extra time. Would love to edit the digitals afterward. Thanks guys - see you when you get back.

The collectible shop has a strict NO PHOTOS policy. Sorry.

We just got back from PHANTOM - The Las Vegas Experience.

Understand, between us we've seen the production more than 200 times in theatres all across the country. And we've seen more than 20 different Phantoms.

    This production is UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Considerably condensed, but the content doesn't suffer. The performances are mostly equivilent to the best professional theatres.
The production values are mind blowing. The chandelier is 4 separate sections that reassmbles itself as it rises. The entire procenium and wings are swathed in the beginning, and when unveiled, the wings are recreations of the original Paris Opera House replete with patrons (mannequins) in the boxes.
The Phantom dangles from the chandelier at one point, shoots fireballs from his hands and appears in a spark of smoke for the curtain call.

Wish we could go back again to see it.

Looking forward to seeing everyone when we return.
