San Fran, CA Las Vegas Comic Con 10/31-11/2

Are sick of the same old Halloween here in the Bay Area? Well then join Fan Force, Rebel Legion, & the 501st at Comic Con in Las Vegas! I know this is also a favorite hang out for some of you Rogues.
CCLV was promoting this at CCSD & a lot of people were interested. This will be the very first one & it will be held at the brand new convention center at Mandalay Bay.

If some of you don't know yet, I already have a room at my time-share about two miles away. It has one of the biggest swimming pools in Vegas, with a Mayan temple theme. It sleeps six, and I already have 3, including myself, who are coming. It's only about $30 a person for 5 days. I could probably upgrade to a penthouse, if more people are interested.

 

I'll go for the weekend for sure, not sure about Halloween night though. That is usually a big deal for my kids so we will probably do that at home.

 

Finally.....the Rock will go back to Las Vegas! They Rock says this, the Rock will be in attendance at the Las Vegas Con and this joyous event will mark the debut of the red Imperial Rock! The Rock will be there jabroni's!

 

Wow and I thought I was a Rock fanatic... haha... it's all good man. Anyway, I'm down unless I have no money or if any work I get won't allow for the time frame. I'd like to go back to Vegas again. Bellagio rules!

 

Let me know when you are all ready to get things for the trip together. I would be very interested in going with you. Is there a carpool or something. I have a place to stay when I'm there, just need a way to get there.

Padme and I were discussing flying over there. Just waiting for the fares to get a little lower. The resort we're staying at is about 2 miles away from the convention. I was planning to arrive a day or two early and stay a day or two after the con to just enjoy the sites. I'll be renting a car for the stay there...a yellow convertible, with the right speed capapabilities, perhaps? Viva, Mos Vegas!

 

Awesome! I'm glad to see quite a few of you are going. I'll send one of you lucky people an E-mail to see how many will be there.
If some of you do not have a room I am blocking a section at Luxor for 501st members but will not exclude Rebel Legion and Fan-Force members. I will , however, need a solid number of people that do plan to room at Luxor so I save enough rooms.

See you there. Oh, Peter Mayhew is here in Vegas and we will be taking him to Planet Hollywood. I think when he shows up they'll see how good we are in with the celebrities.
Oh, we're throwing a reception as well. Tickets are 30-35 a person and includes transportation from the con. I'm hoping to get as many people in costume as possible.

I've just returned from a long vacation and I am currently recharging from the long haul.

Vegas is always fun, but as we all know it can only happen $$$ permitting.

I'd like to go, but can't give any definitive answers just yet.

Hey, it's only an 8 hour drive. 10 if you take it easy. At least from Stockton, anyways. What the heck was Harrison Ford's character again in American Graffitti? That's my hometown. I've made it there in less than 8 but I was flying.
Try expedia.com They have great prices on flights here. Also, if you go southwest cattle they give you a better deal when it's done way in advance. I saved 40 bucks on my flight to SD for comic-con just by getting my ticket a week in advance. Could saved 50% almost if it were sooner. I'll post again bout a few other websites to check on tickets.
BTW, I have several rooms resered at Luxor. Not as cheap as Excaliber but the rooms are nicer.

ok on second thought I REALLY want to test my new system... classified for now. It's experimental but if it works I may still go to Vegas more for the gambling but I'll attempt to make it to the Con too. Depends what I can afford at that point... Clouded the furture is...

my future is very clouded too...not shure what to eat for breakfast. Also, not sure if I'll be able to make it to the con...I may go the following year-in preparation for E III..but we will see

 

I think I'll give a definetly answer by the 25th of August... need some critical logistical info testing my blackjack hypothesis.

 

It would be a good time to clean house, would'nt it. Between the two of us, I'm sure we could get thrown out of any casino on the strip.

 

Yes this party is gonna be live...I just convinced my roommates to go! So I have a "live-in" babysitter so I can hit the strip...Im definately bringing the camcorder....

 

I'm still uncommitted. If I can get in on thye time share, that's cool. But for some reason, my Spidey sense is tingling and I feel a disturbance in the Force.

Maybe it's the lure of the Voodoo Woman to return to New Orleans for The Feast of All Saints.
