a Friday prequel. why hasnt this been made?

perhaps as a lead-in to a Friday remake/reimagining

 

A gritty reboot of Friday?

 

they're making a new friday movie and it's called "last friday", so i guess you're in luck.

 

is it a prequel or a sequel? it better not be one of those "THIS IS THE LAST ONE WE SWEAR" sequels that plagued horror franchises of the 80s and 90s

 

They should go all the way up to Friday the 13th

it's hard to find any info as far as plot and stuff. it's supposed to come out around christmas tho.

 

Didn't Chris Tucker go insane or something? I don't see how a prequel would work without Smokey. The sequels certainly didn't, although I never bothered to watch the last one.

as far as i know. chris tucker did drop off the map for a while, but he was in silver linings playbook so apparently he's back working again.

 

If F. Gary Gray is directing and can keep his latent schmaltziness to a minimum it just might work. Here's hoping.

 

i thought chris tucker dropped off the map because he didnt need to work anymore. wasnt he the highest paid actor in history for a single film for rush hour 3?

 

And more importantly wasn't he the single funniest actor in history for Rush Hour 1 and 2?

 

He was outstanding in Silver Linings. According to the Internet he blew everything from his massive Rush Hour earnings and now owes $11 million in back taxes.

 

A prequel would be outstanding. Ice Cube can be told he has the rest of the day off, shout "yippee!" And have his career destroyed.

And five years from now he can be at Friday C3 begging for work onstage in front of an auditorium full of people while AmazingB mocks him.

History repeats itself, people.

 

The Friday and Ice Cube superfans will probably get all mad at me again for being mean and ruining their moment.

Clearly that was because Galactus showed up, got that transmission, and figured it was more sadistic to leave us with it.
