This is my first fic, so I hope you like it!
    *********************************************

She looked at the destruction around her,

    her brandy-brown eyes revealing the

weariness and pain inside her. Her light

brown hair hung in dark clumps, matted with

sweat. She was here, on Borleias, where the

Jedi's last stand had taken place.

She had seen her parents struck down

by the ruthless Yuuzhan Vong. Her best

friends had tried to save her and had lost

their own lives in the process. But what had

really thrown her over the edge was holding

her husband on her lap, his blood spilling

onto the ground, her tears raining over his

face as he took his last breath.

She stood by his body now, staring

at her enemies, her purple lightsaber held

in a defensive position. She knew that she

would soon join her loved ones, wherever

they were. She would make her last stand

worthwhile. She would avenge the lives of

those that now surrounded her, dead.

Her strength returned, ready to do

the Yuuzhan Vong harm for what they had done

to her. She would fight for her parents, her

brothers, her friends, and her Jag.

One of the Yuuzhan Vong stepped into

    the circle that surrounded her.

Jaina Solo prepared to make her last

    stand.

    Thanx.
    I don't know. I double-spaced for some odd reason.

This will be one of only two posts, depending on the number of replies.

    I want more!!!

I want to see Vong suffer!!!

Then I want to see Jaina lose her lightsaber and the Vongs demending her surrender.

Then I want to cry at her nobel end....

    Can that be done? ;^) [face_plain] :( :_|

    *********************************************

Jaina fought relentlessly, delivering blow after blow to the Vong. Not even the pain and the fatigue slowed her movements.
Her filthy hair slapped against her face, and her clothes, wringing with sweat, clung to her every move.
A blow to her back caused searing pain to travel up her body. Jaina's steps faltered as the intense pain swept through and a scream tore from her throat. Another blow to the back of her head made her knees buckle and she collapsed, her head wringing, her eyes staring up into the cloudy sky. Her lightsaber clattered to a stop a few feet away from her.
The Vong cried out in triumph and raised his amphistaff to deliver the final blow.
    "Die Jedi!" the Vong snarled.
Jaina closed her eyes and waited for death to come.
The Vong broughthis amphistaff down, but a huge blast paused the amphistaff a few inches from Jaina's stomach as the Vong looked up to see what had caused the blast.
Jaina painfully turned her head and slowly opened her eyes. It was the squadron that had fought over the skies of Borleias. Another blast rocked the ground as the head squadron landed, the pilots jumping out and racing toward the battle ground to destroy the last remnants of the Yuuzhan Vong. Jaina saw Kyp at their head, his eyes staring with disbelief at the remains of his companions.
Suddenly her whole body was set aflame as the Vong drove the amphistaff through Jaina's body.
Kyp watched in despair as the Sword of the Jedi disappeared to join the heros that had gone before her.

    Next post everyone!
    *********************************************

"Listen," Jaina said. "I want you to take command of the squadron."
"No," Kyp answered. "I'm going with the rest of the Jedi."
"Please, Kyp. There's no one I trust more than you."
    "How about Jag," Kyp countered.
"He's going with me," Jaina stated.
    Kyp looked at her, defeated.
"Fine," he said. "I'll do it. But you guys be careful down there."
"Hey, why are you worried?" Jaina said, a big Solo grin plastered on her face. "[i/]I'm[i/] going with them."
"That's exactly [i/]why[i/] I'm worried," Kyp said, playing along.
Jaina turned around and statred walking toward the Special Ops bay.
"Be careful with my squadron, Durron!" she called over her shoulder.
" [i/]You guys[i/] be careful," he said softly. Running a hand through his dark hair, he turned with a sigh and began to prep his X-Wing, trying not to think that his decision might have condemned Jaina to death.

Hope you like it. It may sound a little corny, but that's just because the sugar rush is starting to wear off. :p

Again, thanx to everyone who has read this fic. Here's the next post:
    *********************************************
Looking back on those last few moments with Jaina, Kyp wished they hadn't been so cocky.
He stood on the hill, staring across the dense forest. Only a few miles away, the last battle against the Vong had taken place.
Kyp remembered the battle clearly. When the squadrons had landed, they had fired on the Vong mercilessly. In a few hours it was over. They had seperated the remains of the Vong with the bodies of the Jedi and their allies. They then placed their bodies reverently on spaceships to be returned to their families. They burned the bodies of the Vong.
"Kyp?" a voice asked behind him.
Kyp turned. It was Mara, three year old Ben clutching her hand as if afraid to let go. Kyp didn't blame him.
"We're about ready to leave," Mara continued. "Luke wanted to know if you're ready."
Kyp stared at her. By a stroke of luck, them and another group of Jedi had gotten seperated from the main attack group, saving their lives.
"Yeah," Kyp answered, snapping out of his reverie. "I'll be down in one minute."
Mara nodded and led Ben back down the hill.
Kyp looked back across the forest, silently saying a prayer for the fallen Jedi.

    *Final Post*
Thanx to everyone who has read this fic.
    *********************************************

Jaina opened her eyes and looked in wonder at the world around her. It was like a big space of nothingness. Everything around her was a white so bright she almost had to squint to see everything clearly.
She looked down. She was just floating there, with no ground in sight. Jaina felt a soft breeze rustle her hair and garments. All the blood, sweat, and tears were gone. No trace of the battle was evident except in her mind, where it lingered like a forgotten dream.
[i/]So this is waht it's like to die[i/], Jaina thought.
"Hey," a voice said behind her.
Jaina turned and her eyes widened as tears started streaming down her face.
    It was [i/]him[i/].
    "Jag?"
