I broke mine heaps of times. if you go somewhere like Mitre 10, you should be able to get a replacement pretty cheap.

another example of how expensive GW miniatures are. $32 for a 2 inch cave troll!
(says the guy who paid $50 for 9 even smaller figures)

I'd much rather have a big a$$ one with club swinging action and authentic movie sounds. it even has a rubber face...

    ok then:

JP, where did you get the Strider figure?
I saw some at the warehouse, but by the time I got the money to get one, they were all gone :(

havent seen one since. maybe they will get more in. hopefully.

    HERE HERE!

is your trolls mouth ripped slightly?

and the strider's arm that holds the flaming torchs is limp (hangs) as the legs and arm are connected somehow.

    Squeeze legs - arm lifts.

    Getting back to the Troll.

LOUD SOUNDS AND TWO ARMS THAT MOVE VIA LEVERS - WHATS BETTER?

    :p :D

    (Chans - get on ICQ)

Chansplace, I got Strider through our Mum who makes wall displays/castles/promotional "themes" etc for the warehouse.

She emailed the entire country's Warehouse branches to track it down, I'm not sure where it was sent from, to be honest...

Just got back from K-mart, Hunters Plaza, and they've got 15% off everything, if anyone is still after any POTJs.
They had a couple out which I haven't seen in a while -
Leia Organa - General (in her ROTJ endor outfit)
    Sandtrooper - Tatooine patol
    The Scouttrooper
and those other ones which seem to be everywhere - Han, bespin, Anakin, mechanic, old Obi-Wan etc

I went in to K-Mart Henderson (Auckland) this morning and picked up a "Dirty" Scout Trooper and a Leia (General). It was the last Leia, but there was another two Scout Troopers still there though. I don't think I got 15% off though - it must have finished yesterday. :(

I also picked up a paperback copy of Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter from a Whitcoulls branch. It's a bit thicker and a bit more expensive ($22) than the "average" Star Wars book.

While I was in Whitcoulls I glimpsed some rolls of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings wrapping paper - I didn't see a price though.

Last night I was given a marketing brochure for the two new Episode II books from Dorling Kindersley. It doesn't show/say much though - just the publicity images we've already seen and small pictures of the book covers. It does say that the books will be released on 25 April (in England).

Hey Kitt did they have many Leia Generals?

I wonder if any are still left, any idea what time they close tonight?

I've just found out why the Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter book is a bit thicker - it also contains the 54page Darth Maul: Saboteur story that was released "only" as an e-book a while back.

    :)

They had three Leia Generals on Monday. They should have at least one left. I think they close between 8-9 on weeknights, Thursday is late night.

Here's a great find, New Zealand PC World's February 2002 issue comes with a CD, containing the Forbidden love trailer (in the smallest size, unfortunately.) and the demo for galactic battlegrounds.

There's also a special inside on the best Star Wars websites.

It's easy to spot on the shelf, because there's a big white stormtrooper on the front holding a camera. Cool pic.

It seems like a nice magazine too - I'd never read it before, and it seems good.
