If you live near a store that still stocks new SW books, The Approaching Storm by Alan Dean Foster and NJO: Dark Journey by Elaine Cunningham should be arriving about now.

The Approaching Storm is of special significance as it leads right into the events of Attack of the Clones. However, it is hardcover, so it's a little pricey. Dark Journey is a paperback.

According to the SWNZ website, there were some new figures at the Glenfield ToyWorld (Auckland) a couple of days ago.

I've just been there and there wasn't really anything - unless you're looking for Sandtroopers, they had about 10. :(

I also went to St Lukes Toyworld since that's the only other one I know that still gets new Star Wars stuff, but nothing there either.

Nothing in K-Mart St Lukes either.

    :( :( :( :(

Anyone in Auckland still looking for the 25th Anniversary figures should go into the Albany branch of the Warehouse - they seem to have got a re-stock of all three packs.

The two Warehouse branches I visited today seem to have cleared their overhead storage shelves of almost all boxes - I wonder what's happening, if anything? ?[face_plain]

They also seem to have new Transformers. Two different sizes.

I was in the central city this afternoon so I stopped by both Dymocks and Borders book shops.

Both had new hardback Star Wars books:
    • Star by Star
    • Cloak of Deception
    • The Approaching Storm

Dymocks also had a new paperback book: New Jedi Order - Dark Journey.

    :)

I saw Balance point and Star By Star (God it's HUGE! [face_shocked]) in the central city library. I searched for the ones before Start by Star but the results were dissapointing. Apperently they don't have all the ones before that, only Vector Prime, Agents of Chaos II: Jedi Eclipse, and Balance Point. or maybe they got the computer catalogue messes up. Shadow Hunter's available too.

I didn't have time to check the prices of the hardbacks (and they do seem bigger than normal), but I bought the Dark Journey paperback which cost the usual $21.95.

For those who can play the guitar: Star Wars Guitars.

They look pretty good, almost worth buying just to hang on the wall ... IF they didn't cost too much. :)

Just stopped in at Manukau Toyworld this afternoon, and there were a couple new POTJs.

Some wacky looking droid called 'R4-M9' and Teebo the Ewok.

They also had Luke/Leia 25th anniversary and Vader/Obi-Wan. $44.95 though.

    That wacky R4-M9 is cool
he has a little green light

they used a cheaper plastic for the mouse droid this time thou

Why doesn't Teebo have an axe?

    Did they have Bo-Shek
    He has a cool holster

    We know the truth.

You scaned the barcodes from some cheaper Transformer and printed them onto sticky labels. Then you went back to the shop and stuck them over the real barcodes, so that when you took them up to the counter they scanned as cheaper ones.

    :p

Well, I got the last Jango at Riccarton :D He's currently engaged in battle with Boba Fett.

The soft plastic used on some parts is both good and bad...his arms are currently almost crossing over each other, meaning he's pretty much shooting one blaster with the other.

Next buy: Zam. Then the clonetrooper. R3 if I have any money left by then. Thanks for the lead on those! :)

    R3??? ?[face_plain]

While I was at the shopping centre I stopped off at the ToyWorld Glenfield (Auckland). There's ONE Zam and ONE R4-M9, along with some of the older figures (eg. Leia General, BattleDroid Boomer Damage, etc.) and two Obi-Wan vs Vader anniversary two-packs.

I also stopped off at the Warehouse Glenfield, but they had absolutely no Star wars figures. They did have quite a bit of Transformer stuff for those interested - "small", medium, large ($100 each) and large multi-mode ($60 each, and can transform into six different figures).

    DOH!! [face_blush]

You're right, I was getting confuzzelled.

R3-T7 is the Episode II figure - this is the one they had one left of at ToyWorld Glenfield.

R4-M9 is the recent PotJ figure and comes with a MouseDroid.
