No problem. Mention my name and get a 15% INCREASE in price. :p

The 12" Jango Fett looks great (mine arrived this morning) - although not that much like Temuera Morrison.

I've just got back from the Albany and Milford branches of the Warehouse in Auckland ...
    • I managed to find a Saesee Tiin in the slight re-stock they had in Milford.

    • No sign of the Acklay beast.

    • Albany have the Star Wars: Episode II Chess Set for $99.99. These are NOT electronic chess sets and the pieces are done in "Pewter and Bronze EFFECT" - ie. they look nice, but are really coloured plastic.

I was at ToyWorld, St Luke's today.

They had the 12inch Jango for $115. They also had some 'Star Wars: unleashed' Darth Maul action figures which I'd never seen before. They come with a trading card, or something like that.

The Warehouse is starting their usual School Holiday specials today (29/6/2002 - 5/7/2002) and have got ...
    • 10% off both the Standard and Deluxe Episode II 3 3/4" figures.

    • "Over 25% off" Deluxe Transformers.

    • 15-20% off the various Spider-Man figure packs

Buzz, you are an advertising GOD. :)

Saw the Ep2 Books in a book store today. The visual dictionary type one and the one that has the vehicles cut away to see inside. Very nice!

You must honour your God. Where are the offerings?? (No human sacrifices thanks) :p

Someone has a mint boxed vintage electronic Millennium Falcon (the one that sits the 3 3/4" figure in the cockpit, etc.) in the Trade & Exchange - only $400.

There's also a Toys 'r' Us exclusive 3 3/4" AT-ST & Speederbike set (~$150) on the NZ TradeMe auction website.

    * KAPOW!!! * {lightning bolt hits SimplyThrilledHoney}

Thou must not anger the God Buzz by getting to the local ToyWorld before him.

    :p

Now I know who's been beating me to all the good stuff around here. :(

When I stopped by the Glenfield Toyworld a week or so back I couldn't see any Star Wars figures at all. They must have moved them from the normal spot, but I didn't have time to look around.

Buzz-Bumble .... so are you a local too? The Glenfield touworld is just up the road from my house.

If you're keen, maybe we could go "hunting" together on day. I tend to do the rounds every few weeks, but there are a few unexplored areas. My email's in my profile if you wanna conordinate our efforts a little ....

I tried Glenfield ToyWorld, but no new figures there. They did have a nice poster of all the "Saga" figures stuck on the side of the counter next to the new position for the Star Wars figures. It shows all the figures so far plus a couple yet to be seen. The one lady serving was too busy for me to ask if it was something they sell or just an advertising poster from Hasbro.

Nothing new at the couple of Warehouse branches or K-Mart (Henderson).

*BUT* - I did find both Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Djas Phur at the ToyWorld (Henderson) though - BUT I bought the only one of each figure they had. Might be worth checking out other ToyWorlds.

I also picked up the latest copy of the UK Star Wars (Feb/Mar issue) magazine - this time it has ...
    • Episode II nearing completion

    • Attack of the Toys - the first release of Episode II toys

    • Brief article about Jay Laga'aia (Captain Typho)

    • More on Episode II.

    • Long article about Leeanna Walsman (Zam Wessel).

    • Long article about Ahmed Best (Jar Jar Binks).

    • Review of Obi-Wan X-box (blurggh!!) game.

    • Centerfold poster of Jango Fett and Zam Wessel - no, not that sort of centrefold.

    • Article about Brian Daley, author of a few Star Wars based novels.

    • Article about Jedi Quest Star wars comics.

    • Article about the New Jedi Order series of novels.

    • Article about the Nintendo GameCube and Star Wars games.

    Phew! :)
