Learning to speak Polish

Okay well since Alassea told me to tell some things about myself I guess I can do it in bio form like the Role Playing Forum here...

Nationality: Polish mostly, Irish, Dutch, little English, etc

Favorite subjects: Art, Spanish, Global History, English, Physical Education

Hobbies: Dancing, singing, acting, writing poetry, stories, running, swimming, volleyball, music, reading, oh I have way too many hobbies, comic books, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Spider-Man, meeting people, you name it I probably like it, I just love variety and adventure

Foods: Lasagna, Pierogi, Cheese! lol
Kielbasa, Boulsh, babka, etc, I love all foods!

Gosh I'm not even sure what to say here, I was just told to tell some things about myself lol
Hmmm I guess if there's other things you all want to know ask lol

Anyways, when do we start learning Polish?

Okay to answer those questions,
Eye color: Blue
Hair color: Dirty blond-brunette
Hair length: shoulder length


The weather in New York is chilly lol
It's beginning to look like spring, but we're getting a little bit of snow, not much though thank goodness

 

hmmm, blue eyes - yummy !

And same weather in Warsaw, but maybe more snow in some parts of the city and it's windy (but no sign of Mace Windu ).

And what would You like to learn?

Well I would like to learn some more vocab, I only know a few words really
And pronounciation would be helpful too, so for pronounciation just have it like this...

Example: dock-ter

 

Blue colour is one of my fovorites, so blue eyes are amazing for me

"Example: dock-ter" - I think You mean doktor (doctor) - am I wright? If so, we spell it as we write it: dock-tor

 

I know Batchi for grandmother
mathca for mother
and I did know father once
Then I know Polska for Poland
Galenski for Pigs in the blanket I believe
I know other simple words, but not much lol

 

"I know Batchi for grandmother" - very close it's babcia (bab-from baobab and cia - spell it like shhi + a)
"mathca for mother" - good, only write like this: matka

father is ojciec or tato

"Galenski for Pigs in the blanket" - to be honest I have no idea what it could be, but don't worry

 

Galenski, Maybe you thought about Golonka? Golonka it's a cook leg of Pig. And, I see in dictionary, that in English, Golonka is Called knuckle
Pig - Swinia

 

I know plenty of cuss words.

 

Then you know all you need in Polish

 

I think to learn vocabulary, we'll say a topic for a list of vocab you can list
Example: Family
babcia- grandmother
matka-mother


So I'll name a topic....

Now you just list some words and tell what food it is in english, and pronounciation if possible

 

Food?? Ok we can list it but do you mean food like carrot = marchewka and so on or do you want everything with all names of dishes, vegetable and etc.

Ask, if you want to say something but you don't know how.

Maybe we should write some grammatical rules? not olny vocabulary. For example: conjugation is very interesting or declension. Eh.. it's not easy...

 

hmm, about cinema - I think that in US they call it theatres too

 

I know, I do want to speak Polish, that's what I need, grammar rules, conjugation, pronounciation, etc
I can't wait until I can speak Polish!
