"One Minute! Wait, who is it? Wait, nevermind, come on in, Anakin," Tahiri called. Anakin walked in, Tahiri was packing furiously.

"Hey," he said softly. "Why didn't you tell me?"

Tahiri sighed. "It was sort of last minute, but I'll only be gone for a few days. If you need to contact me, I'll have your old datapad-"

"-no way! I'm coming with you," He declared.

"Ani..."

"I've had to be separated from you for almost 7 years, I don't want something to happen to you, and be informed of it. If something happens, I'd rather be there at your side. To live, to fight, to die..."

"This isn't your problem!" Tahiri exclaimed. "It never was. It's mine, my fault, my daughter, and my enemy. I don't want to tangle you up in my mess-" Anakin silenced her by touching his lips to hers quickly.

"Maybe it's not. Maybe it's yours, and your fault, and your daughter, and your enemy, but I want to be tangled up in your conflict. And if you won't let me ... maybe I shoudn't even be a part of your life," He pulled away from her and began to walk out the door ... but he couldn't. He turned around slowly, a bit pale. "I-I didn't mean that, Tahiri." His girlfriend seemed to have aged 10 years. Her face was drawn, her hair falling in front of her eyes. Tears were tricling down her cheeks and her deep green eyes were misted over.

"Anakin," she whispered, so brokenly and sorrowfully, that his only desire was to take her into his arms. Why had he said such things? He loved her. "-no ... please don't."

"I-I..." He stuttered.

"I'm insisting you stay for your protection. The galaxy needs you and my daughter. The only reason I'm NOT asking you to come with me is because if anything happened to you ... I don't know what I'd do," Tahiri looked to the floor. Anakin closed the gap between them and drew her into his arms.

"I'm coming with you, Tahiri. As much as I want to follow you wishes, I love you too much to send you to an uncertain enemy without knowing if I'd ever see you again. If something, ever happened to you ... I'd be lost ... to say the least," Anakin's voice cracked with emotion. "Don't send me away, Angel. Not again."

Tahiri leaned against him. "Sliven called today."

"Uh...okay?"

"He said there was a Twi'lek searching the camp with a baby, calling out for someone to 'show theirselves'. They captured the Twi'lek and tested the baby's blood. It showed that I was the mother and that medichloriens(sp?) identical to yours were found in the baby's bloodstream. I had to pretend I was Mara to get that information. Sliven wants to meet with you to discuss the violation of my rules. Whenever that happens, he's out for blood. I fear he'll kill you AND Myri. That's why I have to go and explain everything before I lose my two treasures," Tahiri placed a hand on Anakin's right cheek and kissed his left. "I couldn't live if something happened to you both. That's why I'm begging you, please stay."

Anakin lowered his gaze to the floor. "How long do you plan to be gone?" He sighed.

"About two weeks. Three at the most," she stated. Anakin bit his lip.

"Be careful," he whispered. Tahiri smiled radiantly and hugged him.

"I will be," she said softly. "I promise."

Anyway, I like how this is going. (Only...sad from now on? I fear what that may mean...) It's interesting that Myri was conceived by midichlorians (that's how you spell it, by the way), just like our dear Mister Vader. ;D

Also, as a rabid Alema fan, I do like that she gets along well with Myri. (You aren't gonna do anything bad to Alema, are you? )

Tahiri visited Jagged Fel to re-bandage his wound before she left.
He smiled when she spoke. "So, how is everything?"

"Great, I mean, when you're around. I get bored sometimes," he stated.
Tahiri laughed.

"Well, once you've healed, you'll definitely be out of your boredom," she ruffled his hair as she finished bandaging. Jag shook his head.

"I don't know what I'll do once I get out of here. IF I get out of here," he grumbled.

"Y'know, I bet my boyfriend could hook you up with Rogue Squadron. His sister is a pilot there," Tahiri stated. Jag's eyes widened.

"Really!?"

"You bet. I'll definitely ask him. His name is Anakin Solo, he-"

"THE Anakin Solo!?! Your [i]boyfriend[/i] is THE Anakin Solo!? And his sister is THE Jaina Solo!? I'll actually get to MEET her!?" Jagged exclaimed. Tahiri laughed musically.

"Don't go getting [u]too[/u] excited, I still don't know. But, I'll do my best, Jag," she smiled.

"You're the best friend I've ever had, Tahiri," he stated softly. She blushed.

"That's very nice of you, Jag."

"Tahiri! We have 30 seconds 'till we leave! Say your good-byes!" Chrystaline Naberrie called.

Tahiri bent and kissed her friend on the cheek. "I'll see you when I get back, okay?" Jag nodded and touched his hand to his left cheek speechlessly.

Tahiri ran to Anakin and kissed him quickly, but it turned out to be lingering. "I love you, Anakin." She whispered.

"I love you, too, Angel," he said brokenly. "Come back to me safely."

"Could you do me a favor?"

"Anything,"

"Could you see if you could get my young friend, Jagged Fel, into the Rogue Squadron?" She asked. Anakin grinned.

"No problem. I'll go talk to him and see what I can do."

"Thanks, Heroboy," she grinned.

"All aboard!" Chrystaline teased.

"Coming!" She kissed Anakin one more time, then boarded the vessel.
