It's what got my interest as well. I loved the idea that it was the EMPIRE, and a bounty hunter, that was going to save the galaxy. Normally in Star Wars these are the bad guys, to see them as heros, even anti-heros were a change from the normal black and white morality of Star Wars. But after they only come into 3-4 arcs. So yeah.
An Imperial Knight as the antagonist, who knows if this'll be a band together to fight a greater threat deal or it's just a non good vs evil conflicting interests thing.
well that is not a facial expression associated with a heroic IK no idea why a lightsaber would be worth killing over though I would assume probably has something to do with the crystal
That Imperial Knight looks so smug alongside his DDD troopers. Not liking Ania's face here, but whatever. Can't wait to see this series start.
An Imperial Knight as the ennemy? Why not. But I wonder : did he side with Krayt or is he a power-hungry antagonist? It doesn't look like Yalta, not so much. - And what is about a mere lightsaber? How a lightsaber can be so important? - Ania is really a Ghost In the Shell - type of character on this picture.
I really... really, like that cover. The Knight looks smug and menacing and Ania looks torn on what to do. The aliens are Imperial troopers or look like them based on the armour but I am not sure what species. All in all, looks very nice.
I am not so certain that the Imperial Knight is a "bad guy". IIRC, isn't he described as being an emmisary from the Galactic Federation Triumvirate? I think it is more likely that the Triumvirate has dispatched agents across the galaxy on a important "mission", which will be part of the story! --Adm. Nick
Well Yalta is but if the guy we saw on the first cover was Yalta then these two look nothing alike which suggests they are not the same person
I wonder if those two alien looking Imp troopers are a few remnants of Darth Krayt's bio-bred sith troopers from the War arc of Legacy. They all supposedly went mad when Krayt died, and Darth Nihl orderd them all killed.
Maybe this Knight is just one of those 'law enforcement' antagonists who are only the bad guy because the protagonist is a law breaker. I mean she has the Solo genes in her, I doubt she is perfectly on the straight and narrow.
Like GenAntilles said, antagonist and bad guy are not necessarily one in the same. For all we know, the IK is sent after her to save her life or to bring her back to be a member of the royal court.
I love the IKs but that being said they all don't have to be perfect. He could be a fallen IK, who knows...
That's what I thought. Which would be awesome. More Noghri is always a good idea, especially in comics. Did we have any in the original Legacy? Really curious about what's so special about this particular lightsaber, though... or is there a strict ban on lightsabers in civilian hands in Imperial Space (supposing that's where she is)?
Who sais this Imperial Knight is THE bad guy? Did the writers mention he was the bad guy or is it just a rumor?
Well, he wears red clothes. He has blond hair and he has that look on his face that annoys me. If his bodyguards turn out they are Noghri, I will still like him though. Even if he is the villain.
