    Master Kraahn IC:
    ~Valley of Light, Saridona Prime~

His movements were steady and balanced in the middle of the group (though not far from the front), feeling at peace with all around him. Mindful of his steps with young Kalpana astride his back, Kraahn was rather content. Indeed, the past decade had been a largely content one after its high-tense beginning.

Nevertheless, this new chapter in his life had been a pleasant one all told, and it was nowhere near as noticeable as it was when around the younglings. They were hyper due to their youth and often loud as well as in need of constant discipline. Yet it was a good thing to him, not bad. The little jokes, the harmless pranks when the other masters (especially Master Alyn) weren't looking were fun to encourage. Especially when the younglings were almost always scared by him at first.

Watching them slowly look beyond his appearance, like all tend to have to learn with him, warming up to him, and understanding subconsciously that he was a living example of being mindful in the Force and in perception. Not all was what it appeared.

The tchuukthai had nothing to offer amidst the togruta's interruptions as Master Alyn was able to deal with the young girl efficiently and with an even hand. His eyes looked up as if to try to steal a glance at the young one as she was lightly scolded, not that he could see her, before gazing ahead of them again and at the Temple of Light.

At the cheers of the younglings about nearly being home again, he exchanged the amused glance with the two other masters. His gaze idly noting how Kasumi had become entangled with one of the younglings herself and how they had been infatuated with her ability to interact with the Forest in her unique way.

As they moved with him continuing to be mindful of his steps, his senses picked up a small oddity in the Force. Not necessarily troubling, but…off. Whatever it was, it was approaching quickly. A ship most likely. And it felt like it was with others who were undoubtedly in the light, so there was probably nothing to become concerned over. For the time being he decided to leave it alone and have the other masters center on it if they chose as it was not urgent to him.

"Come, younglings. We want you to have good places for Bonaventure's Knighting Ceremony, don't we."

"Yes, Master!" a few chimed eagerly.

He let out a deep chuckle in response.

    IC: Rak Avarray
Fighter patrol Nexu, descending through Saridona Prime's atmosphere

As the fighter broke away Rak slammed the throttle of the X-83 he was currently flying. It was apparent that he and Reese would have no chance of catching up to much faster starfighter.

"Temple of Light," Nexu lead barked into the comm, "This is Knight Avarray, the unidentified fighter is flying towards the temple at a high rate of speed. Do not fire, do not fire a single bolt at that fighter." He pulled back on the flight stick gaining altitude. "Reese follow me, we won't catch up to him but, maybe we can force him down. Don't fire a single shot until I say." Once above unknown fighter Rak angled his nose, aiming ahead of the fleeing vessel. If it came to it, he would fire a warning shot across the nose of the Eta-2.

"Grand Master," he called out "You're starting to worry me now. You're flying pretty fast, leaving me behind. It's a little hard to escort you when you're so far ahead. You want your entrance to be memorable right. Slow it down a bit, we'll fly in formation, it'll give us time to get people to the hangar, I'm sure everyone would love to see you." Through it all he kept his voice level, even, betraying none of his emotions under the surface. "What'da think, can you slow it down, give us time to get the banner up?"

"Temple of Light," he swapped back to speaking the TCC, "I need anything you have on previous Grand Masters of the Guardians, preferably ones that are still alive and have been away from the Order for a good long time."

It was a long shot, and not much to go on but, any information could be useful, he only hoped the being behind the controls of the other vessel wasn't completely out of his mind, suffering a delusion of some kind.

"Semajj, Jacen," he continued firing out orders at an alarming rate, he didn't like this but, there wasn't really time to get everyone's opinions. "Follow as close as you can and be prepared for anything." They would have a difficult time catching up as they were in the same fighters and thus had the same limitations as him. However it was better than just leaving them behind. He kept an eye on his sensors, just in case this was a trap, or trick, meant to pull the patrol away from their duties. Prepare for the worst hope for the best, that would have to be his motto right now.

    IC: Semajj Nosrep
Fighter patrol Nexu, descending through Saridona Prime's atmosphere

The Eta-2 pushed the throttle and the chase was on. In a moment both Nexu Lead, and Nexu Two were on its tail.
And right after they turned to follow, Nexu Four was following them. Though it seemed none were aware, as they were so focused on the mysterious 'Grand Master'.

"Nexu Four hold up! We haven't received orders to move yet!"
"You can hold up there if you want Semajj, but I'm not letting this guy out of my sights." was the quick reply.
"Why are Mandalorians always so combative..." Semajj mumbled in irritation.
"If You always stop for orders, someday you'll get blasted while waiting for them. I'm going to protect the temple."

Semajj was about to offer another reply when he was interrupted by the very orders he was looking for.

"Semajj, Jacen, Follow as close as you can and be prepared for anything."

Seems Rak was rather caught up in the moment, even Semajj was somewhat surprised to hear such a firm command from him. Though all things considered it made sense.

"We're on our way Nexu Lead." He spoke into then main channel with a smooth tone, before flipping back to the one he and his wingman shared. "Hold your fire Nexu Four, we were just told to be ready." No response.
The Ongree sighed in frustration, muttering to himself "I have a bad feeling about this."

The Eta-2 is a hostile now?
His droid companion questioned as Semajj began to move to his new position.
"No, he's not a hostile yet. Just a security risk. Though the jump between that and an active threat isn't that large."
Semajj sped forward, catching up to Nexu Four in but a few seconds, though they were still a fair distance away from Nexu Lead and Two, and even farther away from the ship they were chasing. Events were transpiring far too quickly for his liking.

    IC: Commander Beskaryc Taab
TCC, Temple of Light, Saridona Prime

Watching the Master Display Console, Commander Taab and Major Barrett watched the ongoing dramatic ballet unfold in the space above Saridona Prime. Nexu flight's TwinTails had split off into two formations, each pair of wingmen moving to intercept and it looked like escort the newcomer down. "Must be a new arrival like the Trapper (Knight Iotasi)", Taab grunted to those within earshot. He respected what her prior profession obviously had been, she walked with that gracefully coiled fury of a Bounty Hunter, but that didn't mean she had earned the right to be called be her real name by the Mandalorian. Not yet anyway.

The comm system crackled to life. "Stargate. This is Ra"... the flight leader nearly shabbed up and used his real name over the comms before catching himself. "Nexu Lead...We've caught up to your 'bogey'" Taab stared intently at the holo display. The TCC had handed off the orders to the patrol and would let them handle the intercept. Taab knew just how frustrating top down command could be, best to let those on scene handle things, though the Temple would stand by to help where it could. They didn't bother to listen in on the low powered fighter to fighter transmissions up there. "We are attempting to escort them peacefully to the hangar. They have made no aggressive moves against us but, I sense something. If you could have Master Susruta meet us when we land. I believe that would be for the best."

Taab nodded to Major Barrett who commed back. "Nexu, lead, Stargate. Roger that, escort your bogey to hanger one. Healer will be standing by there." Meanwhile one of the other security officers in the TCC commed the Ithorean healer to meet an incoming ship there. Taab himself resolved to head down as well to meet their new guest once he or she had arrived. Still looking at the display though it seemed the bogey had other things in mind, accelerating suddenly towards the Temple and pulling away rapidly from it's escort.

"Power to the anti-fighter batteries," Taab barked out. The fighter was coming in on something approximating a landing glidepath, but was coming in rather hot. That flight plan could also be a suicide mission profile, and Taab wanted to be ready.

"Temple of Light," Nexu Lead commed them again, apparently excited enough to forget to use either the Temple's or his own callsign. "This is Knight Avarray, the unidentified fighter is flying towards the Temple at a high rate of speed. Do not fire, do not fire a single bolt at that fighter."

Taab continued watching the approaching craft and Nexu flight's reactions to it. Things were getting sporty up there, but ordered "Weapon's hold," to the staff at the weapon's console.
"Temple of Light," another call came in. "I need anything you have on previous Grand Masters of the Guardians, preferably ones that are still alive and have been away from the Order for a good long time."

Taab furrowed his brow. Former Grand Masters? What the shab was going on up there? There hadn't been any Grand Masters of the order since the General (Hector Zey) had stepped down. Before that it had been Spoonbender (Josch Decinchi) and Goldy (Miria Lahana), but they had left just over a decade ago...

"Sir?" Major Barrett asked him, forcing him to shake the memories from his head. "You have that look..." Taab opened a direct channel to the fighter screen. "Nexu lead, Stargate," he assumed that Knight Avarray would recognize his voice compared to Barrett's. "We had two Grand Masters leave about ten years ago." He paused he hated giving names up over the radio, but saw no alternative here. Or was there? Surely they would remember his nicknames for them if either was listening in. "Spoonbender and Goldy," he paused again. "We're sending you a data squirt with the relevant information." Taab nodded to Barrett as she called up the bios for Decinchi and Lahana from the Temple archives and sent them as an encrypted data burst to the Nexu flight's X-83s.

    IC: Knight Gim/Healer Susruta (NPCs)
Meditation Garden, Temple of Light, Saridona Prime

"Although after you engaged with Gim I pretty much lost that battle myself. Besides, it's not like the ceremony is going to be anything where you have to showcase your ability to fly with the Force as your only ally, so better to go with a light heart with comrades than a heavy one from wallowing in the surface powder. . .soft dirt."

Knight Gim regarded his fellow Knight for a moment. "Soft dirt is better than hard dirt eh?" he asked jovially as he looked up at the pair who towered above him. "Perhaps you're right though, no need to meditate." He punched padawan Bonaventure in the hip. "You must be anxious, doing something will make the day will go by faster." He laughed. "We could put you to work in the Grand Hall, or cleaning 'freshers on the pa..."

He was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Healer Susruta. Unbeknownst to them the Ithorean must have been meditating elsewhere on the island. "My apologies fellow Guardians," his melodic voice could calm the most indignant patient. "I've been called to the main hanger bay, apparently we are about to have a visitor."

    IC: Initiate Ugem'bivi (NPC)
Waiting for fate to smile upon her

Initiate Ugem'bivi, Bivi to her friends, was tired. She had gotten up early to help with the preparations for the Knighting ceremony, cleaning the Grand Hall and making sure it was spotless for the festivities. It was a job the service droids could have handled, but she was trying to make a good impression. The ceremony had reminded her that she was already 13 years old, and not yet selected as a padawan. If her own promotion didn't happen soon she would be relegated to the ranks of either Services or Security, two options which she did not relish.

Master Rand had seen her down there, taking it upon herself to help with the preparations and called out to her, asking her to wait for him near lift AA-23 when she had finished. Then he had gone off, up to the dorms. She didn't know what to expect from whatever was to come, but she hoped he had taken note of her initiative and it was something good.

As she waited she bumped into (not literally thank the force) Lrowoco who was headed for the same lift she was waiting by. "First Sergeant," she bowed deeply as she greeted him, her green twi'lek headtails nearly touching the floor. As a padawan she would have technically outranked the Wookiee security officer, but she would have shown him the same respect to him all the same. Still she was just an initiate, and the rule of thumb for an initiate was to bow to everyone. Lrowoco replied with a short barking sound that she knew to be a greeting. She couldn't speak, and didn't understand, his language, but she had pickled up on a few things in her time here at the Temple. Smiling at him as she straightened up he ignored her as together they waited for the lift.

The lift doors opened and a pair of security troops disembarked along with a Jedi, Knight Vansyph. "Hey Top," the two security officers intoned together, a greeting that was met with the same gentle bark from Lrowoco that she had recieved a moment ago. At that point the security folks ignored both Bivi and Vansyph, who rushed off towards the west end of the Temple. That was curious. What had him in such a hurry? Her weariness, and order to wait here, forgotten Bivi went off after him. "Knight Vansyph," she called to him as she caught up to him near the west gate. "Where are you going, can I come along too?"

"I would like that Master, but there are some things I need to take of before the ceremony today. Procrastination has gotten the better of me it seems.. If you would excuse me."

Master Rand stroked his chin at that, but didn't object. "Of course," he said absentmindedly though Knight Vansyph had already excused himself and was on his way.

"Always on the move," the Master chuckled to himself at the attitude displayed by so many Knights and padawans. He doubted he was any different though at that age.

The door he had initially knocked on opened to reveal the face of who he was looking for, Knight Iotasi.

"You're..." she held a finger to her chin. "Rand?" The Jedi Master smiled at the obvious guess, though he wasn't insulted. It would take time for any newcomer to learn the names of the thousand of beings now inhabiting the Temple of Light. "I could eat, I just need a second--" She disappeared back into her room for a few moments as Rand waited patiently outside.

"He'd just get into trouble," Iotasi explained as she locked her door, clearly referencing her droid companion. It was funny Rand thought how often those little droids did in fact get into trouble. "Food then?"

Rand inclined his head slightly as they walked towards the lift at the end of the hall. Iotasi had forgone the hood she had first arrived with, a good sign he believed that she was opening up to the way of life here. "Food, yes. If you can call it that. Our cooking droids aren't the finest culinary artists in the galaxy, but what they do passes for food." The twinkle in his eyes betrayed the joke. "Still we must do what we can, today is going to be a very busy day. You've arrived at the Temple just in time for a most joyous occasion, we have a Knighting ceremony planned for later today." They proceeded further down the hall and to the lift, where the Wookiee who ran the security company got off.

"Greetings Lrowoco, what brings you here to the dorms?" The Wookiee barked back that he was checking to make sure Bonaventure's new quarters here on the Knight level were squared away and ready to move into. He then added that he was also hoping to catch Commander Taab before he went on duty. Rand looked over at Knight Iotasi. Shyriiwook was a common enough language, and distinct enough that most could identify it as Wookiee speak, but not everyone could understand it. "I'm afraid you're out of luck there my friend, I saw him headed to the command center with your Major Barrett just a few moments ago." The Wookiee growled in frustration, but shrugged his mighty shoulders before adding that he would have to talk to him later. Then he headed down the hall as the two Jedi boarded the lift.

"I hope you don't mind but I've also invited an initiate to join us," Rand stated simply as the doors *swooshed* shut. "She's a bit nervous about being selected as a padawan and I thought some words of counsel and wisdom would help to assuage her." The lift ran quickly down to their desired level and the doors *swooshed* back open. "Well that's odd," Rand said as he exited the lift. "She was waiting for us right here." He didn't add that he didn't know if Iotasi was going to take him up on his offer of meditation or breakfast, so he had asked the initiate to wait for them here. Looking around all he saw was a pair of security officers discussing limmie scores. "I wonder where she has gotten off to?"

Valley of Light, en route back to the Temple, Saridona Prime

Master Alyn smiled at the antics of the younglings as they interacted with the other two Masters. Yes they had all had a wonderful time during their retreat, but matters ahead of them seemed muddied now. Shielding herself from the younglings so as not to frighten them she tried to ascertain what was happening. There was confusion, from above? She glanced skyward but saw nothing. Not knowing what it could be she exchanged glances with Kraahn and Kasumi. They had felt it too.

Their original plan had been to take the southern entrance to the Temple, it was closest to the cargo bay that they had drawn their camping gear from, and would serve as an excellent place to gather and organize once they had returned. But the western gate was closer, and subtly Master Alyn began angling the rag tag convoy of younglings and Masters in that direction. With uncertainty afoot, it was best to get them back into the Temple as soon as possible.

    Temple of Light

Koji entered the turbolift and selected the ground floor. Noticing two security personnel heading for the same lift, Koji held the door open until they got there.

"On your way down?" he asked.

"Yes sir." They replied in unison.

*Whoosh* the lift doors closed before making descent.

"Didn't these lifts used to have music in the background? Whatever happened to that?" one officer asked the other.

"I'd never heard that, must have been before my time here." responded the second officer.

And mine, Koji thought quietly to himself, whoever allowed music in the lifts must have had quite the influence over this place.

The lift gently slowed before arriving, "Gentlemen, after you." Koji opened his arm signaling them to go ahead. Once they disembarked, Koji was met by the (Wookie) Senior-NCO and a Twi'lek Initiate. Koji noted her wide-eyed gaze and full alert posture. Lrowoco on the other hand was sure footed, focused, and slightly rushed.

"Good morning Fir'Sardn't." Koji's slurred slang of the 1st Sgt's rank sounded lazy but was considered expedient and thus, respectful. Especially because Lrowoco seemed to be in as much of a hurry as he was in.

"Hey Top," the security officers followed up with a greeting of their own. Lrowoco greeted them all back but Koji was on the move again.

"Knight Vansyph!" a young voice called to him from behind, "Where are you going? Can I come too?" Koji was a bit taken by how quick and quietly she caught up to him.

"Where I'm going is a good distance from here, if you can keep up, you are welcome to join me." his brow raising slightly, expecting her to change her mind.

"I will keep pace, don't worry!" she replied with excitement.

    "What is your name, Initiate?"

"Ugem'bivi, but most call me Bivi."

    "Alright Bivi, let's go."

Luckily for all of them that line of reasoning was disturbed, although if he actually had been allowed to answer with more than a shrug he would of notified him that the inverse was actually true. Soft dirt was good for planting, but you never wanted to live near the stuff. It was a practical death sentence and so a bit of fear love relationship to life, much as he had heard some love water, yet feared it's depth.

Still with Healer Susruta arriving he had to wave a hand out in the air with a rolling gesture, "Or. . .we could do that?" He stated with a grin. Sometimes the Force not only provided, it saved his backside from the smaller Knights idea of keeping busy.

    IC: Rak Avarray
Fighter patrol Nexu, passing by Saridona Prime's outer moon

Rak's eyes scanned the information appearing on his screen. He had no time to truly read and understand what was in front of him. All he could get was a name, Josch Decinchi or, Miria Lahana. A fifty-fifty choice, the voice did sound male but, there was nothing to say that it wasn't a female disguising her voice though a distorter of converter of some kind. Then there was the somewhat present situation that the pilot could also be completely out of their mind. They were flying full tilt towards the temple with very little regard of their own safety.

However there wasn't time to consider it any longer, every moment that passed the Eta-2 pulled ahead, and neared the Temple. He had to do something. The Vagabond's finger hovered over the trigger on his flight stick. Just a few shots across the nose, that would get his, or her, attention. It could just as well set them off, sending them into an even deeper into whatever darkness they currently found themselves in.

    Fifty-Fifty

He took a breath and opened the channel.

"Grand Master Decinchi," He called out over the open comm, "My apologies for not recognizing you sooner." Once again he kept his voice calm, and somewhat upbeat. "It's an honor sir, I was just a padawan when you left, I…I don't believe we ever met, I'm Rak Avarray. Let me be the first to say that it is a pleasure to be tested by you." He continued, trying to give the other man a way out, a way to save face from whatever shame he might feel for putting everyone under so much stress. "I do hope we passed. If you wouldn't mind changing your course to head towards hangar one that would be most appreciated, I've already called ahead, at we are cleared to land. We might have a few friendly faces there to meet you. Though you arrived on such short notice that I doubt we can give you the welcome you deserve. If you'll bear with us, we might be able to get something together later."

He went quiet, his heart pounding in his chest. With him even realizing it the first two fingers on his left hand crossed. He was a Jedi and didn't believe in luck, but right now, he felt like he needed just a little of in.

He fought his urge to hold his breath while he waited for a response. His other hand remained ready to pull the trigger, though he hoped he didn't have to.

As the senses in the Force grew and forced Kraahn to pay a bit more attention to it than he had otherwise desired to do, her gaze exchanging with Kasumi and Alyn once more, he shielded the younglings as best he could as well.

Unlike the one leading them, the tchuukthai did not look upward however, otherwise it would draw the little ones' attention to that direction. The Force worked better here.

There was some definite chaos going on above, high amounts of confusion taking place. He frowned, but only because no one could ever read his facial expressions anyway. Quietly agreeing with the subtle change in direction as well, he maneuvered that way too.

"So, Young Ones," he said suddenly with his deep voice easily reaching the whole group, "Who else wants to ride on the way back with Kalpana? We can see how many I can carry!"

With that he gave a laugh and allowed a momentary of content satisfaction to be felt as a number of them gave excited cries of joy and clambered up on the Jedi Master. When he gathered as many as he could, he looked at Alyn and Kasumi once more.

"Perhaps one final game to enjoy the trip with? We are now split into three teams of masters. Who will be the first to the Temple, hm?"

WIth a rolling chuckle, the tchuukthai then took off. Not at full speed by any means for the safety of the kids, but quick enough. The sooner they reached the temple and the more distracted they had the children, the better.

Best to accomplish two things at once.

Kasumi smiled at the playfulness of the idea of a game to get the younglings back to the Temple quickly, and without much alarm. She watched as some of them took it upon themselves to turn it into a game of tag. Kasumi bent down to help the youngest onto her back and joined in with the make shift game of Tag all the while making sure that they had everyone accounted for. The laughter of the children, especially the one she was piggy backing, rang in her ears. No matter what she felt through the Force, no matter what the strange ripples were, the laughter seemed to ease her own uneasiness and make the concern all but fade completely. She reached out to tag on of the other younglings to continue the game on their way to the western gate.

"Grand Master Decinchi," The pilots of Nexu flight heard the words of Nexu Lead loud and clear over their comm system. "My apologies for not recognizing you sooner." Knight Avarray's voice was calm and welcoming, an attitude not shared by Knight Troi in Nexu-4. His finger was twitching on the weapon's activation stub on his control panel.

"It's an honor sir, I was just a padawan when you left, I...I don't believe we ever met, I'm Rak Avarray. Let me be the first to say that it is a pleasure to be tested by you." Flight lead continued as Nexu-2 sat directly on Lead's wing, ready to assist if needed. Knight Reese was far calmer in the cockpit of his TwinTail than was the Mandalorian Jedi.

The wave went quiet, and Knight Reese looked through his canopy to the flight leader anxiously. In Nexu-4 Knight Troi did the same with Knight Nosrep in Nexu-3. There was no response, and the craft, supposedly flown by a former Grand Master, didn't slow down or alter course. Through his canopy Troi gave hand signals to Knight Nosrep that the Ongree should be able to see. Hand signals that asked whether they should engage and shoot down the craft that was flying headlong at the Temple.

"Or. . .we could do that?" Knight Gim laughed boisterously at Knight Sadi's suggestion. Yes, that did seem to be a much better use of the soon to be Knight's nervous energy. "Susruta is the best Master of healing here, isn't he? If they're calling him to the hangar, there could be an emergency happening. We ought to go see if they need any help; I've got some experience with crash recoveries. Let's go make ourselves useful." Yes, padawan Bonaventure was rather eager, so it was perhaps best to do that. The foursome made for the pair of boats sitting next to one another on the shore, "I'll help you paddle, Master, save your energy for what you do later. Gim, Jo, you coming?" The pair had been lagging behind a bit, but Gim wasn't going to let this young (to him almost everyone in the Temple seemed young) whippersnapper show him up.

"Oh no you don't, I'll handle half the paddling as well!" His protest came out as a low squeal. "Bet you think you'll do all the work in the hanger too!" Susruta, feeling himself above such petty bickering rolled his eyes as the four made their way back across the shallow lake to the "shore side" of the promenade.

"Alright Bivi, let's go." Bivi gave an exuberant fist pump following after Knight Vansyph as they raced out of the western gate. It was a beautiful morning, the sun was low in the sky and behind them so they were still in the shadow cast by the Temple of Light, but birds were flocking and singing as they flew around the spires, early morning dew could still be seen on the short grass on this side of the Temple. Bivi paused for a moment as she closed her to breath in the early morning air, it was cool and crisp, though the day would heat up later she knew. In the air she felt the slight rumblings of the force, from the grass beneath her boots, to the birds in the air and even other indiscernible fauna out in the forest. Opening her eyes she saw Knight Vansyph racing out ahead of her, towards the woods, and another group of two dozen or so younglings running towards the Temple at their various best speeds. He wasn't kidding when he said if she could keep up.

Gathering herself she raced off after him, calling out. "Hey what's the rush?"

"Perhaps one final game to enjoy the trip with? We are now split into three teams of masters. Who will be the first to the Temple, hm?"

The Tchuukthai Master chuckled in his own way and sauntered off, with Master Kasumi hot on his four heals, a broad smile on her young face. Master Alyn found herself smiling too at the idea, and laughing as some of the younglings began losing focus and started tagging one another. Truly wonderful is the mind of a child. To see the fun, the wonder, in every moment, and living it to it's fullest. So many adults could learn from that mindset she thought as she too corralled the younglings into participating. It took little to no prodding.

Master Kraahn's group was out ahead, with Master Kasumi's gaggle of younglings not far behind. They were starting to lag a bit now though, distracted by their own impromptu games and so master Alyn's group was gaining, but just barely. Alyn laughed, "faster kids, we're catching up!" she called out to them, though none of them seemed to care about winning the race. They were just enjoying the moment out in the early morning sun.

"Master look!" One of them called out, pointing to the Temple of Light. "They want to play too!" Another one cried out pointing to the pair of Jedi who had just left the Temple's west gate and were running towards them as fast as their legs could carry them.

    Knight Dorm level.

    Continued from previous update

Rand began looking around the area, glancing to and fro. That wasn't helping much, nor was looking into the force. There were too many other force users milling about the Temple, some of them with higher than usual states of anxiety. Rand had not received word from the Council nor Commander Taab that anything was amiss though, so he would felt that go for now. He had a missing initiate to locate, though he doubted he she was in any sort of danger. That he believed he would have felt.

"Excuse me Master Jedi," it was one of the pair of security troopers idly standing near the lift discussing college limmie. "Couldn't help but overhear you'd misplaced a female." The dark skinned human smiled while the other, a mangy haired fair skinned human smiled crazily and wiggled his eyebrows. "Part of the job to notice what's going on around us," the first one continued completely oblivious to the antics of his partner who was now staring at him crosseyed. "I saw..." His partner now interjected. "We." Now the first trooper turned around. "What?" The second trooper assumed a look of absolute innocence mixed with mild consternation. "We saw, you said you saw, but we both saw."

"I know we both saw, I said we ..."

"No you didn't, You said you saw."

"I said you saw? Then what are you complaining about?"

"No you didn't say you, you said me."

    "Which is you."

    "No...I mean..."

"Gentlemen," Master Rand kindly interjected. This routine could go on all day, all the while an initiate wasn't where she was supposed to be and Knight Iotasi was going hungry. "If you could just tell us what you saw."

    "Well we..."

    "Thank you."

"...saw an initiate oh whats her name?"

"I don't know, you saw her."

"We saw a female twi'lek go off towards the west gate with the Lorrdian Knight..."

    "Vansyph."

    "Force be with you."

    "No, I didn't sneeze.

    "You didn't?"

"No, that's his name. Vansyph "

    "Force be with you."

Rand raised his hand putting a stop to their conversation. "Thank you gentlemen," They nodded and gave brief salutes before walking away, talking about the force knew what else. "Well then, I think that perhaps a conversation with Commander Taab is in order regarding the caliber of his security team," he let out an exasperated sigh. "But first I'd say we should go find what our initiate is up to, though I would hate for you to miss your breakfast."

    IC: Semajj Nosrep
Interception Bogey-1, nearing Saridona Prime's atmosphere

'Grand Master Decinchi' The name sounded familiar to Semajj, but only distantly so. The old Master had left the order a long time ago, Semajj hadn't been on Saridona Prime long, most certainly he hadn't been assigned a Master yet.
But the Ongree didn't dwell on it. He maintained his focus on the moment. Trusting the force.
He glanced at the large orb that was the planet. They were approaching it fast, but he trusted his old master knew what he was doing.

Next he glanced out the window of his canopy, seeing Jacen signaling his desire to blast the Eta-2 out of the sky. But Semajj would have none of it. He shook his head, right to left, very dramatically making his intentions clear. And whispered "Wait for Nexu Leads command Nexu-4." across the channel. The words alone wouldn't tip off any eavesdroppers, though Nexu-4 would certainly know what he meant.

He really didn't want to be responsible for blasting the old grand master out of the sky, if it really was him. Though as each moment passed his apprehension mounted. In the end he decided, that at very latest, if they breached the atmosphere, and the Bogey didn't change course, they may be forced to take preemptive action. But for now he would not act without consent of Jedi Avarray.

    He had to be sure.
Flipping channels quickly, he hoped Rak would say something.
"Orders Nexu Lead?" he pleaded between them.

The Twi'lek was still several paces behind when she called back, "Hey what's the rush?"

Koji was set to respond but noticed the incoming group of Padawan and Masters approaching. The Knight slowed down to greet them.

"Greetings young ones," Koji offered a quick bow to the Masters as he spoke. Bivi just arriving also bowed, albeit a little deeper.

Still catching her breath, she turned to Koji and asked, "Am I keeping up ok?"

"Relax Bivi, you're doing fine. Go and greet the others."

As she mingled with the other young ones Koji approached Ros and asked, "Master Alyn, did I miss the invitation to race? I see Master Khaan is leading the pack for now." Koji teased, smiling politely.

The pair had been lagging behind a bit, but Gim apparently wasn't going to let this young (to him almost everyone in the Temple seemed young) whippersnapper show him up.

Knight Sadi, for himself simply took the unused boat that the trio did not take. He did not want to make it harder for someone else when they came here, and so he set to rowing back his boat. His dark robes absorbing the sunlight to warm him even as the brightness of the days on this alien world bleached out the lights being emitted by his robes and garb. Saving speech for when they made it to the hanger he set to his work, of trying not be outdone by a two man group against one rowing competition in his mind as to whom would make it back to shore first.

    IC: Rika Varm (NPC)
Hanger Bay One, Temple of Light, Saridona Prime

Rika Varm, head of the Temple Logistics and Service's division stood up from underneath a parked TwinTail and wiped the grease from her hands onto her utilities, a look of disgust plain on her face. Her feelings had nothing to do with getting her hands dirty, she rather enjoyed that, it was for the being in front of her, the plane captain for TwinTail Black 103. By rights, this was his job and he could do it any way he pleased, but he was doing it wrong and that irked the woman who was ultimately in charge. Shaking her head she caught the familiar shapes of the Jedi Shuttles and X-83 Twintails that called this hanger bay home. This was also the bay that most outgoing and returning ships ended up using due to it's nice and easy approach route which lined up with the orientation of the Valley of Light. That approach route also meant that one of the Temple's three fighter squadrons was also based here. Four of those fighters were up on patrol now, with Jedi at the controls to spell the squadron's pilots, and Varm was making sure their relief were also ready to go.

It was a job for their plane captains, and she really should be working on the Beacon of Light for the ceremony, but to be honest she didn't want to be reminded of the ceremony right now, it only reminded her of her own failure to advance to the rank of Jedi Knight when it had been time for her to take the Trials. So she was down here instead, micromanaging things for the next four fighters to go up, these would be piloted by security forces as the Jedi would be preparing for...well she didn't want to think about it. Still Voodoo Flight would have an all "mundane" flight crew, with Maverick, Goose, Iceman and Slider. Those were all callsigns of course. Maverick was a human, Iceman a Chiss, Goose a Calibop and Slider a Talz that had a habit of dying her fur the most outrageous of colors. This week it was hot pink. Varm wondered where Taab and the Colonel had found this rag tag bunch, but they seemed to work well together. Right now she was ensuring that Slider's thruster manifold was holding together, and was clearly getting on the plane captain's nerves.

"Fine," she threw up her hands. "Do it bass ackwards, just get it done before the flight has to take over the patrol." Stalking away in frustration she noticed another ship in the hanger that looked out of place. It was an old RZ-1 Interceptor, colloquially known as an A-Wing. That wasn't a standard fighter assigned to the squadron. Here they were all X-83 TwinTails, the composite squadron was usually based in Hanger Bay 3. So what was the A-Wing doing here? She angled in for a closer look.

The markings on the craft were all wrong for the composite squadron, which meant it was a private vessel, a Jedi vessel, and should have been parked over in Bay Two with all the other POCs (personally owned craft). It was then that she noticed the Falleen Knight underneath the vessel, Knight Ka. That's right, he owned an A-Wing. He had the port side engine cowling all opened up, and parts were strewn about alongside the craft. Well that explained it, and also explained why the work being done wasn't on her maintenance log. He was doing some private work on his ship. With Bay One being the primary for incoming ships, his parts had probably arrived here, and rather than transfer them to Bay Two, he had brought his fighter here. She shrugged. It was often easier to move small craft around to the next bay then move the required parts, especially if they were large, so it wasn't an uncommon occurrence. She approached the Jedi intending to ask him if he needed help, most pilots were fairly protective of their own vessels, but it didn't hurt to ask. Besides she was curious to know what he was doing to the upgraded old ship.

She never got the chance though, before she could say anything she was interrupted by a warning klaxon and the voice of Major Barrett over the PA system. "Vessel inbound for Bay One, Vessel inbound for Hanger Bay One. Make ready to receive." That got everyone scurrying into motion. The bay had been prepping to launch four fighters, the fighters on patrol would wait to be relived before returning, not immediately receive a ship. Varm frowned, there hadn't been any scheduled arrivals today so whoever it was, they weren't expected. "OK people, we've got incoming. Let's get the bay prepped and ready!"

    TAG: Zurros Ka, Welcome back!

OOC: Yes the pilot's callsigns were obviously taken from the movie Top Gun. I couldn't help it after the discussion in the GoL. :p

    IC: Rak Avarray
Fighter patrol Nexu, Nearing the atmosphere

Silence. Silence was all that greeted the knight as he hoped to get a response. Had he misjudged, had he guessed wrong? Was something deeper going on? He was fast running out of time to try and get some kind of reply, to try and get this pilot to slow down. He angled his fighter more having to keep his nose pointing ahead of the fleeing craft that continued to put sky between him and it.

Where was the line, when did this situation stop being a friendly greeting and playing around and become a threat. He reached out with the force, attempting to reach the mind of the other being in the cockpit of the other fighter. He wanted to calm them, or at least get their attention without having to fire a warning shot. His finger still hovered over the trigger though.

"Orders Nexu Lead?" His former padawan broke over the comm, breaking Rak’s concentration.

"Hold fire until I give the order," he broadcast over the flight’s channel so that all the pilots with him could hear his orders. "keep following, I’m going to try one more time." He swapped back over to the open channel.

"Sir, you’re coming in a little fast, I’d suggest slowing down. I would hate to see something happen to you or the temple." His voice had firmed up. Again trying to get the other being to speak, to come out of whatever isolation they had thrown themselves into. "Sir talk to me, I can’t read your mind. If there’s something going on, we live to serve, live to help, we are Jedi."

He held his tongue from issuing a warning, he didn’t want to do that until absolutely necessary. Again he tried to reach out through the force, try to touch their mind, not in an aggressive way, more like an old friend welcoming you back with a cup of tea.

Tea...He could really go for a cup of it right now.

    IC: Liuna Iotasi
    Temple of Light

The Jedi Master Rand kept up the majority of the conversation as they headed out, a sudden bout of nervousness keeping her many questions to herself. A Knighting ceremony would be interesting to see, especially if these Guardians were as different as she had been led to believe. Maybe it wouldn’t put her to sleep like those of her fellow Padawans had. Or hers. Too much talking and meditation and whatnot instead of a real party. But they were different. These weren’t the small group of Jedi she’d grown up with, and she’d yet to figure out what sort of offshoot they really were. What made them so different? Guardians of Light couldn’t be that bad with a title like that but she wasn’t entirely sure yet.

A Wookiee joined them briefly, and though he didn’t look like a Jedi, Liuna couldn’t be sure. He definitely looked young compared to her Master, who'd been hundreds of years old when he trained her, fur streaked with grey. For a moment, she allowed herself to miss the old Wookiee and his attempts to keep her out of trouble. Maybe sending her here was another such attempt.

Liuna sighed to herself a little and shook off the nostalgia, following Rand silently into the lift as he explained about an initiate that would join them, and she nodded along. As far as trusting these Guardians, she wasn’t going to commit to that yet, but this Master Rand seemed like a good enough sort- she had a gut feeling he wouldn’t lie or trick her or whatever she thought might possibly happen here.

"Well that's odd. She was waiting for us right here. I wonder where she has gotten off to?"

She was about to point out that initiates and Padawans alike tended to be like that, herself included, notorious for wandering off at the slightest thing, but she picked up on the slight heightened tension in the area. She looked to Rand to ask what was going on, but a pair of troopers approached first.

As the pair spoke, Liuna felt her eyebrows raising ever higher, and almost laughed when Rand finally interrupted them.

"Well then, I think that perhaps a conversation with Commander Taab is in order regarding the caliber of his security team," he let out an exasperated sigh. "But first I'd say we should go find what our initiate is up to, though I would hate for you to miss your breakfast."

She waved her hand- her real hand- dismissively. “I can wait. Have to keep those initiates from getting into too much trouble.” Liuna chuckled slightly to herself. “Or too much fun.”

The troopers had said west gate, but she had no idea what direction they were currently facing, let alone which way was west and where the gate was. Looking around, trying to judge from markings or directions or ‘west gate 200m this way’ or something remotely helpful, Liuna came up blank and instead looked to Rand. “Ah, lead the way?”

~Near the Western Entrance, Saridona Prime~

As the tchuukthai ran and kept the younglings with him occupied gleefully, he kept tabs on the Force and confusing sensations he was feeling from it. Though his eyes resharpened on the present location as some kids pointed out the incoming pair of Jedi coming from the Western Entrance. They were running as fast they could.

At first, Kraahn wanted to frown. Just what was going on to send them out like this? But as they approached, he detected no signs of concern or alarm and thus relaxed. Indeed, he recognized them. The twi'lek girl known as Ugem'bivi and the lorrdian Knight Koji Vansyph who had been on the Pegasus with him a full decade ago now.

How time sometimes flowed like seamless water, he mused idly. And so swiftly!

The Jedi Master inclined his head to the pair as they approached, though they seem to be aiming to talk mainly with Master Alyn. Still, there was no harm in greeting them too.

"Greetings Ugem'bivi. Koji. I hope this morning finds you well and nothing is out of place."

And with that, he had sent his pleasant greetings and left open the angle for them to speak on any matters they knew of. If they knew anything at all.

For now…he still had kids to play with and get to the Temple of Light. And that he did.

"Still in the lead!" he rumbled out to the others good-naturedly.

"No, you're not. We are!" giggled a trio of kids just in front of him but close.

"So you are! I am corrected," he laughed which in turn made the ones riding him laugh as they'd feel his body rumble with the mirth.

TCC, Temple of Light, Saridona Prime

The atmosphere in the TCC was tense as Commander Taab and the others waited for some sign that Bogey-1 had heard, and would comply with, Knight Avarray's instructions. "Oh thank the Force," Barrett sighed in relief as her sensor display showed that in fact the vessel was slowing down. Not only that, it had altered course to come onto a nice and easy glide slope for landing in the main hanger bay. "Order Nexu one and three to continue to escort the bogey down. Keep Nexu two and four on station until their relief arrives", Taab said sternly as he stalked out of the TCC. "I'm headed to the hanger bay to greet our guest."

Interception Bogey-1, nearing Saridona Prime's atmosphere.

"Orders Nexu Lead?" The tension being felt in the TCC was nothing compared to what Knight Reese was feeling as communications went back and forth among Nexu flight. The Bogey hadn't acknowledged the order, nor had it made any move to comply. Now Knight Nosrep was aksing for clarification of what they should do. truth be told, Reese was asking himself the same question. In Nexu-4, Knight Troi kept his fighter steady, ready to pour on throttle and engage the bogey as soon as he was let off of his leash.

"Hold fire until I give the order," That did nothing to relieve the tension in either cockpit. They still had a fighter headed towards the Temple at breakneck speed. What if his intention was to crash into the building? there was no telling how many Jedi that would kill. "Keep following, I’m going to try one more time." The flight channel hissed with static as flight lead switched over to the open one.

"Sir, you’re coming in a little fast, I’d suggest slowing down. I would hate to see something happen to you or the temple." His voice was firm, commanding yet soothing. He was clear he didn't want to spook bogey-1 into any rash action. "Sir talk to me, I can’t read your mind. If there’s something going on, we live to serve, live to help, we are Jedi." the seconds ticked by, still with no response.

"Nexu lead, I'm going to light him up." The message from Knight Troi came over the flight channel and wouldn't be overheard by the bogey, but no sooner had he spoken the words than the craft reduced speed and altered its course. "Nexu flight, Stargate," Major Barrett's voice likewise came in on the flight channel. "Bogey-1 is now on an approach vector to land in Hanger One. Nexu Lead and Three, escort him in and let him land. Nexu two and four, remain on station until further orders. Relief should be outbound as soon as the Bogey is secure." She paused for a moment before adding on cheerfully. "Well done Nexu flight."

The quartet of Jedi, Master Susruta, Knight Gim, Knight Sadi and padawan Bonaventure arrived at hanger bay one to find a scene of barely controlled chaos. At one end of the bay, nearest the doors, a pair of fighters was rapidly being directed away, back towards the ready area. Nearby another pair of fighters still had access panels open and were being worked on frantically by their crews. One of these, the number 103 was painted in black on the nose of the TwinTail, was accompanied by cussing and swearing from the crew chief that would have made even an old salt in the Triumvirate Navy blush.

Siing up the situation, Healer Susruta could see they had gotten here before their guest had arrived, the bay doors opening now was his first clue. "See, I told you we would beat them here!" Gim cried out triumphantly. Susruta could only smile, wondering now just who "they" were. Off to the side of the bay, near a clearly opened up A-Wing was Rika Varm and Knight Ka. The human female was barking out orders, managing, but not really controlling the chaos around her while the Falleen Knight worked serenely on his ship.

"Two minutes, approaching craft is two minutes out." The words of Major Barrett called out over the loudspeaker, though they could barely be heard over the din in the bay. "See what you can all do to help out," Susruta's gentle tone belied the hectic situation around them. "And trust in the force that this will be a safe landing."

"Master Alyn, did I miss the invitation to race? I see Master Khaan is leading the pack for now." Koji teased, smiling politely. Master Alyn returned the Jedi Knight's smile, glancing around to ensure that no younglings were so close as to over hear her she informed him of what was going on. "We were on our way back from our overnight excursion and felt a...disturbance through the force." She hoped Vansyph knew more about what was going on than she knew at the moment. "We felt it best to hurry back to the Temple, in a manner that wouldn't frighten the younglings."

"Greetings Ugem'bivi. Koji. I hope this morning finds you well and nothing is out of place." The tchuukthai Master also angled for more information as he continued playing with the younglings.

Overhead a sonic boom cracked loudly over the Valley, "Thunder!" cried several of the children not knowing the difference between the two sounds and not cognizant of the fact that there wasn't a cloud in the early morning sky. "We better get back before it rains!" Several others cried out.

Looking skyward Master Alyn could see a pair of fighters, no wait, there was a third fighter out in front of them. The eagle eyed among them might be able to pick out the type if they were familiar with such things, but the Jedi's old eyes weren't that good. They seemed to be on approach to the Temple and would be landing soon. Could they be the cause of the disturbance they had felt? There was no telling, and fighter patrols were a fairly normal practice for the Temple's Security Forces.

Doing her best to keep the smile on her face in order to avoid upsetting the younglings Master Alyn turned once again to Knight Vansyph. "What brings you and Initiate Ugem'bivi outside this morning?"

Master Rand's eyes lit up mirthfully as Knight Iotasi so nonchalantly dismissed the idea of breakfast. She had to be hungry, but the way she immediately took to her duties, and with humor, bode well for her tenure here in the Temple. At her request he led her quickly in the direction of the Temple's western gate. It would open up to the broad Valley of Light, at the far edge of which began the forest which ran up into the surrounding mountains. Along their way they kept a keen eye out for the "missing" initiate, but saw no sign of her. Upon reaching the gate they saw a group outside, in the distance. The form of Master Kraahn was easily discernible as was the fact that several of the others were rather small. Younglings no doubt, by the frantic way they ran to and fro in the morning dew.

"I wonder if she's over there with them?" Rand asked as a sonic boomed echoed overhead.

I breathed deeply, soaking in the oily-ozone-metallic scent of aerospace maintenance. Ah, memories... If I'm getting nostalgic over this smell, I have issues.

I zeroed in on Twin-tail 103, which was showing all the signs of red-streak maintenance: panels open, greasy techs working like mad, droids getting underfoot, and the crew chief inventing new swear words at a prodigious rate.

"What's the matter with Lucky 103, chief? I'm a licensed structure, systems, and powerplant tech with two free hands and time to burn. How can I help?"

Zurros was working methodically, trying to align the new stabilizer in his hyperdrive, last time he had entered lightspeed he was bouncing around like an Ugnaught on an enraged Banther. The work was going smoothly, although slower that he would have liked. The background noise of the hanger bay had long since faded from his attention, until: "Vessel inbound for Bay One, Vessel inbound for Hanger Bay One. Make ready to receive."

The volume increased dramatically, as did the activity around him. Zurros realised that his task may take him much longer, and being that Bay 1 was the primary port he might be getting in the way of the deck crew performing their duties. Detatching himself from his engine he looked around the bay, seeing a foursome of fellow Jedi and Rika Varm, she was issuing commands in an attempt to calm the frenzy of activity. He was loth to disturb her, but if he they needed the space then the faster he left, the better.

Approaching her, Zurros reached out and tapped her on the shoulder: 'Excuse me ma'am, but do you require me to vacate this area? I seem to have underestimated my task and it is possible i will take up space here for longer than i thought.'

Fighter patrol Nexu, Nearing the atmosphere

"Nexu lead, I'm going to light him up." Knight Troi called over the comms.

"The frack you…" Rak snapped back rebuking the other man however his words were cut off by Barrett coming over the wave.

"Nexu flight, Stargate," She started, "Bogey-1 is now on an approach vector to land in Hangar One." He looked at the fighter both ahead of him and on sensors. "Nexu Lead and Three, escort him in and let him land. Nexu two and four, remain on station until further orders. Relief should be outbound as soon as the Bogey is secure." There was a pause before she continued a somewhat cheery lilt to her voice. "Well done Nexu flight."

Rak let out a let out a long breath sweat soaked into his long black hair. He’d need a shower after this but, at least the situation had been resolved. He took a long look at his former padawan off his wing.

"Not what I was expecting when I took this patrol." he said over the flight channel. "I could use a cup of tea. Just to calm my nerves." He let out a sigh shaking his head. Had he gotten through to the pilot, convincing him to slow down or had they done it of their own accord. The silence from the ancient fighter had put him ill at ease. What caused them to go quiet? Would they need help once they reached the hangar. He was a little proud of himself for thinking to ask for the healer to be there. He began to doubt that the person in the craft was the former grandmaster. They went com silent soon after he made mention of it.

He gave another look to Nexu three, Knight Nosrep. He’d kept his cool kept calm despite his wingmates rash actions. He looked to Nexu Four, Knight Troi. He’d have to talk to him about following orders, Rak was the one in command, he gave the order to hold. On the other hand, who was he to judge, he left without saying anything to anyone. He wasn’t known for following many rules himself. He took a long blink letting go of the moment, letting the emotions pass.

"Understood, Stargate, Nexu lead and Nexu three returning to base." He was tempted to tear his helmet off in the cockpit but, resisted should the Temple call him again. He turned the music closing his eyes and letting the force guide him for a bit. A smile grew across his face.

Just another day at the Temple of Light.

    IC - Koji Vansyph
    Temple of Light, Western Entrance

Answering Koji's light-hearted greeting, Master Alyn's warm demeanor transformed into that of cautiousness, "We were on our way back from our overnight excursion and felt a...disturbance through the force." He could tell she was avoiding earshot of the younglings. "We felt it best to hurry back to the Temple, in a manner that wouldn't frighten the younglings."

A disturbance? Slight furrows formed on his brow in surprise. His own force sense was a fickle thing. In the heat of a battle his precognition was adept, but in most cases like this one, his senses were unreliable. Before he could reply, another greeting came his way.

"Greetings Ugem'bivi. Koji. I hope this morning finds you well and nothing is out of place." The Tchuukthai Master was still keeping the little ones occupied with his massive limbs. It was a sight to see, the little ones climbing the Jedi Master like he was a tree. A being with so much strength, spending his time among the lesser, to teach and guide them. Koji could still remember first meeting him onboard the Corvette all those years ago..

Koji bowed in response to Master Kraahn.

"This is the first I've heard of any such news, Master. Has temple security issued an alert?"

On the heels of his words a crackling boom roared from the sky above.

Identifying the sound barrier breaking from a ship within the atmosphere, he kept his expression casual to keep with the calming effort for the younglings. At least my physical senses are attuned.

"It seems our little venture will have to wait," he spoke loud enough for Bivi to hear.
"Masters, do you mind if we join you back to the Temple?' he asked with a subtle sense of urgency.

Fighter patrol Nexu, Nearing the atmosphere

The Ongree took three deep meditative breaths. Trusting in the force he felt his apprehension begin to subside.
And just as he did so, he felt a subtle shift in the current of the force, looking up he saw the Eta-2 begin its deceleration, and change its direction.

Over the comm he heard verification of his assumption. "Bogey-1 is now on an approach vector to land in Hangar One."
He smiled, happy things had gone well. "Nexu Lead and Three, escort him in and let him land. Nexu two and four, remain on station until further orders. Relief should be outbound as soon as the Bogey is secure." Was the next order. "Copy that" he responded, as he accelerated to approach a parallel flight path of his old Master.

His old Master too seemed content, responding with audible relief. "Not what I was expecting when I took this patrol. I could use a cup of tea. Just to calm my nerves."

Semajj replied calmly. "Definitely more excitement than I initially expected as well. Though I will feel much better when we get this bogey on the ground and out of his fighter." He glanced at the Eta-2 as he eased in carefully, prepared to guide the mysterious man in. "Maybe I can swing by the library before the Knighting Ceremony, I hear Master Octaris has recently located some ancient scrolls from the around the time of the Second Great Galactic War that I've been dying to read."
