Legacy of the Skywalkers

I wanna tell you about new Fan Film from Russia "Star Wars. Legacy of the Skywalkers". This project is not completed yet, but I'm planning to release in 2008.
The film is based on the comics "Legacy" and take place in 135-140 years after BY.

Cue the outraged RocketGirl. With a name like "Legacy of the Skywalkers", it sounds exactly like the kind of thing she would hate.

 

Looks interesting, though the only things that really stand out to me as being from Legacy are the Predators.

 

I have no idea who RocketGirls is and why she would hate it.

I couldn't see the teaser, nor did I have a clue where to download the 4 minute clip from as it's all in russian. I love the look of your actors in the launch trailer, though it coulda played out slower, it looked good and the acting looked really nice, that kid looked evil as all hell.

I haven't enough internet to download it somewhere else, but I try to explain how download it.
The page http://ifolder.ru/2876091 has picture with 4 numbers. Type these numbers in the near column. Click buttom under column. The next page will have link that works only on your computer. I hope you'll find it.

 

The google translated version of the page says "At the moment, foreign traffic from the file exceeds Russia. You can retrieve the file only if visit our advertisers help pay our server and channels." And there's nowhere to type anything.

If you want to get the first 4 minutes of the film out there, I'd recommend just uploading it to youtube like you did with the second teaser.

How you are marketing this product is causing it to suffer. It should be globally available. The only thing that is is the launch trailer. Perhaps a free base website like tri-pod or something, it always helps to get it out there to a more globally universal network of people.

 

Looks nice. I just hope that there are English subtitles when it comes out.

And out of those 4 minutes I got a lightsaber duel with no dialog in a forest, and some pointless space battle. Oh, and it's kids. How is this related to the Legacy of the Skywalkers at all?

 

^^^ Good point on the relations topic. But perhaps this may involve Luke's children??? I dunno, only he knows.

I wouldn't say that the space battle is pointless unless you have seen the final product, but all in all, it seems like a four min. montage rather then a 4 minute clip, and I think thats what it was.

Yes, it's not a clip or teaser, it's almost finished scene. I understand it's not the level of I.M.P.S. or Dark Ressurection but for Russia it's not bad, I think.

 

A few weeks ago a project met serious probem. My 3D animator is preparing for the exams, so he can't continue working with 3D. But the work is still not completed. There's about 85-90% of whole film (it's about 30 minuts) is completed, all scenes are shot, 1st spacebattle is done. The last remaining part is the 2nd spacebattle between 2 spaceships. Without it film won't be realesed.
Perhaps there's somebody here who can help us with 3D animation. We have all the models and textures and now the task is just to make it move.
I can't myself do it now because I have a lot of work with AfterEffects.
PLEASE. Somebody! I will appreciate any help. Don't let the project die.

 

That's a mis-representation. RocketGirl has this, "Quit doing the same thing over and over, dammit!" fetish; I liked lightsabers and Jedi just fine until the 800,000th iteration of the same damn fan film with only the names and who turned to the dark side changed...

At least THIS fan film seems to have a space battle in it; most fan films these days leave that oh-so-very Star Wars part out these days! That, to me, is a plus. A major plus. I keep citing Seeds of Darkness as one of my favorite fan films because it has a very traditional Star Warsian balance between Force stuff and the rest of the galaxy. I like that...and I might actually like this fan film. So ner!

EDIT: So I guess one of my biggest questions is why one of the ships looks a hell of a lot like a Vorlon cruiser...

I've never seen thise ship before. I don't even know where it's from. The idea was to take X-wing with its 4 wings, but make them look difference. make them look more razor-like.
