Lit Legacy Vol 2. #18: Empire of One, part 3 (of 3) - The Final Dark Horse Star Wars Comic

It's bittersweet, but I'm glad the last comic will be a fitting conclusion.

 

It's quite a shame these characters didn't get more stories. I find their group to have potential to be classic; a chemistry and likeability that, in my view, Cade's entourage didn't have.

I also insist that this story would make a dang fine EpVII with a few tweaks -even most of the cast matches -. It's simple, but engaging.

The starting premise is also about finding a lightsaber's owner! Just change the name of the Sith to Darth Plagiareis

 

Huh, didn't realize there wasn't a thread for this issue yet. Oh yeah, this cover and all the other last issues were in one big thread a while back.

I still like that cover art, focusing on the core cast, reminds of KotOR (in a good way).

Oh Legacy II, it had such a relatively short run, it deserved so much more, but oh well, at least we got a few more stories out of the Legacy era before the end.

Just another month to go until the end. Glad that Legacy will be the last Star Wars issue Dark Horse will release, an appropriate way to end their long run (not counting TPBs or stuff like that).

 

This seems...fitting. I'm glad this will be Dark Horse's final Star Wars issue, and not Star Wood.

 

The end, alas, is nigh.

So sad its the end, but as mentioned earlier, sure looks like an epic ending. Just one more issue to go.

Hey at least we know not everyone was having kids by the time they were twenty in the EU. This story takes place almost a 140 years after ANH and Ania Solo is only Han and Leia's great grandaughter.

 

It's the "final" showdown with the Sith; where are the ****ing Jedi?

 

They totally should have made Legacy War a 12 issue series thing.

 

Why do the IK's have blue and green lightsabers?

 

K'Kruhk's probably led them all to another Hidden Temple to hide in.

 

I kind of want Dark Horse to put out a last minute special issue of Star Wars Tales to have short stories providing conclusions to any cliffhanger that was left in the EU.

Are comic book stores gonna have to liquidate their dark horse comics or something?

 

No, they have them as long as they want, but once they're gone... they're gone.

 

I wanted them to do that all along.

 

I want to see some truly epic final panel in this issue. Perhaps Luke's spirit looks down the protagonists after the Sith are vanquished, or the like.

 

Empire Of One? I thought the final arc was going to be called The Future Dies Tonight.
