I havent read any of the other posts... I just found out about this today... it would be super sweet I think if they made this... it would be fun... but something deep down tells me its fake and aint gonna happen But my fingers are crossed this is for real!

I'm pretty trustworthy, and if I say that I scanned those images from the latest LEGO catalogue, you can believe me.

 

I'm definately gonna get this! I love both Lego And Star Wars, and the other day I was looking to see if there was a Star Wars Lego game. Yay!

EDINBURGH Feels The Force With Lego Star Wars Video Game Premiere 2004-08-06 11:31:00

LEGO Star Wars video game is exclusively previewed at the Odeon, Saturday 14th August, 2.00pm

Get your lightsabers ready; LEGO Star Wars is landing in Edinburgh this August. The Edinburgh International Games Festival has set the date for the European debut of LEGO Star Wars, the brand new video game for console and PC slated for release in spring 2005, as part of the festival's unique Games Screenings programme. For those in the UK the upcoming Edge magazine (issue #141 - October) has a 6-page article on the game. Says it will be out in 2005 for PC, PS2, and Xbox. It looks kinda cute actually. I get my issues by subscription so if it isn't at the newsagents now it should be fairly soon.

Edit: Wow, that droideka animation in clip 3 is pretty amazing! Looks like you can change characters at will, the droideka cycles through about 6 different characters to get through the small gap, though this may be a demo only feature.

Certainly it?s the charisma of the game that stands out at this initial stage, somehow the chaps at Giant Interactive and Traveller?s Tales have managed to merge both LEGO and Star Wars perfectly, creating a style that feels far more accomplished then 90% of the Star Wars games we?ve seen in the past.

One particular example had a Protocol Droid following us to activate doors, however sadly he took one step too near to a TVG member trying his luck with his LEGO light-sabre? imagine the humour as the droid?s leg got chopped off and he had to hop his way through the level LEGO style - they?ve got no knees you see. Realising that the droid was still ok, the luckless character took another blow from a light-sabre and lost yet another robotic limb, this time around his arm; so with only one leg and one arm left intact, we took the moral decision and ended his short life ? thankfully crucial to the mission another droid quickly took his place.

Once again, very favourable!

 

This game looks cool, from the videos. I love platformers.

Are there other lego games? I haven't heard of any, because I'm still mastering Duplex

Nothing new at the site yet, except that picture I embedded plus a slightly more specific release date "April 05".

 

Hehe... I've shown a few of my friends clips of this game, and they all say its for 5 year olds... but I'm still going to get it.

Variety of gameplay... lots of characters... spanning three films...

...I bet it ends up better than the official EpIII game. lol
