For those in Auckland, there's The Lego Imagination Show on at MOTAT (no idea what dates, but it's advertised in today's Weekend Hearld and is possibly going during the school holidays as well).

I heard on the radio yesterday afternoon (on the way back from seeing Episode II again :) )that there was a big Lego Vader and some other Star Wars stuff there, plus they've got Lego on sale - although probably still too expensive!.

    :)

I haven't been for YEARS and YEARS so I'm not sure what they have there now. It's just round the corner from the Auckland Zoo - there's even an old restored tram that runs between the two.

MOTAT is a lot of fun. I was there last for their sports and fitness exhibition a year or so ago.

If one of my friends is up for it, I'll probably go and see the lego one.

They've got a maze of mirrors there, which can make you sick if you're squeamish :) They've also got this 'touch dome' thing, which is like a obstacle course, but in total darkness. You have to take off any shoes/hats/glasses and clean out your pockets before you go in. Then you have to feel your way out, which involves going through tunnels, climbing up robe and going down slides. Heaps of fun!

The Lego show at MOTAT is on until 15 September - plenty of time to go see it. :)

There's a life-size Lego Vader on display - although I don't know if his helmet comes off. :p

    lol.

We use to have a couple of huge boxes of lego. When I was younger I use to tip the boxes out and start playing. Then there would be a sea of lego on my floor for about a week (withou having made anything) until my parents would MAKE me clean it up.

    NB: all lego was JP's.

We had a large collection of Lego when we were little too. I used to make great Millennium Falcon-style freighter spaceships with gun turrets ... until my idiot brother broke the big baseboard I used as the main floor. Little brothers - Grrrrrr!! :p

The only Lego I've got now is Anakin's Podracer and an old Police Motorcycle (like the ones in the 'CHiPs' TV series).

I love Chansplace's X-Wing he purchased recently. It's amazing! The S-Foils move and all!

Took him and Enapie most of the day to make it.
