    At what?

Anyway. my son and I built this recently. We don't do the awesome custom stuff that jp does (yet), but we've got a good collection going.

Yeah. And some of the older Death Stars and falcons and star destroyers go for thousands. I'm actually considering buying a marvel helicarrier thing, even though it costs more than an XBone. But I don't think I could resist opening it.

The 2002 Yoda, unopened, is selling for $550 on ebay. I got and built this when I was pregnant with my son, so no regrets... I like having my built Lego Yoda to admire.

I hope you didn't glue the pieces together.

Lol, just browsing eBay, but it's funny how some people sell just the directions to a set when lego.com has an archive of pretty much every set of directions ever.

I'm guessing either most people are unaware of that or they just really want the physical copy of the official directions.

They want the physical. It's like buying DVDs when you can get it on Netflix.

They'll buy empty boxes, and then they can make up complete full kits - much higher sell price than the bricks from a set on their own.

Fair points. No one said the life of a collector was cheap. :p

Watching Walking Dead right now. I finally made it through the pilot without falling asleep, and actually became a fan.

But anyway... some of our Lego collection.... these were taken in 2010, so we've gotten a lot more since then.

Nice! I'm not sure I ever took a picture of my pre-eBay collection, but that was about 50 sets. Now I'm down to about a dozen.

This is the next Lego set I want:

However, with the Speed Champions sets offering McLaren P1, Ferrari "LaFerrari" and 458 Italia, Porsche 918 Spyder and 911 GT3, as well as McLaren-Mercedes MP4-29 and Ferrari F14T...

    Sigh.

Why would you cage your Legos? That nothing short of cruel!

That's just a shelving system... a cage closes. My Lego are free to roam and fly.

Kids tend to go through an off-period in their teens, hopefully you don't sell your collection Harps, during that time.

Man, I was obsessed with lego's when I was a kid, read the magazines, watched those bionicle movies and always begged my parents for a set. I'm deeply nostalgic for lego's but I lost my interest when I became a teenager, thought about getting into it again as it seems a lot of adults collect them now. My favorite themes were always star wars and bionicle, nice that there bringing bionicle back though.

And yet you never grasped that it's Lego.
