Since Leia apparently knew Snoke personally, does anyone think me might learn more about that connection here, or is it more like for that to be saved for the movie?

I am SO HAPPY they fired whoever used to do covers before the new canon.

You mean the standard US covers right? Some of the Japanese split book covers are some of the best covers ever. And anything Dave Dorman touched was top notch.

Also some Brazilian covers are awesome, and much better than the USA. But this new one is awesome too.

Extremely interested in this. I would like some more details though regarding the plot and time period it covers.

Maybe Alderaan has nothing to do with the story. After all the title Princess Leia has already been used by Marvel. So to avoid confusion they had to give it a subtitle. Similar how Darth Vader volume two is going to be titled Darth Vader: Lord Of The Sith? Just a thought.

I want more details on Breha Organa. She's been woefully underused thus far (especially in comparison to her husband).

Princess Leia: Royal Rebel, dropped in a few details.

She's still Minister of Education as well as Queen.

She's a martial artist who trains a few pupils - and Leia never found this out.

She looks about 15 on that cover; I wonder if this'll incorporate or at least mention her Rebels episode.

Nah. If this was a comic, perhaps but people ought to be easily able to tell the difference between the two.

Desperately, desperately need more Leia, particularly how she goes from being Princess to Senator, her relationship with her parents, friendships etc growing up and - most interesting for me - her relationship with Vader. I can't believe this has only ever been substantively explored in fanfiction and Bloodline (in the form of reflection on the past).
It is just criminal that even in the Legends EU there was so little that focused on her, and then when we finally got Razor's Edge they went and decanonised it.
This is justice! Especially with Claudia Gray at the helm.

There are listings on Amazon for paperback versions of Lost Stars and Ahsoka coming later this year, so there's a chance that there will eventually be one for this too...

Yes yes, more Leia, more Leia, ofc. And then can we get Padme?!

Please! But somehow I get the impression that the Powers That Be are uninterested in developing Padme beyond 'that chick who made Anakin turn to the Dark side' and 'baby vessel'.

I hope we get a lot of Leia/Breha moments in this book. I always felt their relationship barely gets development and attention even in this new canon (I was surprised Breha got just a brief mention in both the 2015 Leia comic and Bloodline) and so I'm hoping this changes here. This is her mother for goodness sake.

I still think a novel covering Padmé's life between Episodes I and II would be SW literary gold but I guess I'm in the minority. Not surprising she still hasn't got any type of complementary material in this new canon, judging by how little she was acknowledged at SWCO and all. I need them to put some respect on Padmé's name, you know what I mean.

I'm more interested in a Padme novel set pre-TPM myself. I want to know what exactly made her so awesome in the people of Naboo's eyes that they elected her as their queen at the age of 14?

I highly doubt it. Snoke must have been someone who arose in the post-Empire era.

    No. Baby vessel.

I do note it's kind of funny how Leia has received a lot more attention under Disney than most of Legends.

Leia ruled the galaxy but almost never got a starring role.

Am I wrong in realizing that almost every new novel released since the Disney takeover with a female protagonist appears as a YA novel? The only exception I can think of is Dark Disciple.
