    The Thing:
The internationally-revered Trey Parker masterpiece, CANNIBAL!: THE MUSICAL

    The Place:
The historic Bloor Cinema, 506 Bloor St. W.

    The Time:
    7:00pm, Wednesday May 30th

Anyway, something like five-and-a-half of you expressed interest in going to this; who's still coming? :D

(The Bloor is cheap... $7 the first-visit, but then you get a membership card that'll get you $4 admission every other time)

People - if you haven't seen this film...
and mayhap, even if you have...

You owe it to yourself to see this film. It is incredibly brilliant. Not only do you have canniblism... but you have music!
    Schpadoinkle!

For Adam+Joseph (or anyone coming, for that matter), I recommend getting to theatre around 6:30ish if possible... special-screenings at the Bloor occasionally tend to sell pretty quickly, whether it's "The Seven Samurai" or something as low-brow as this. :D

I'll have to think about it. I'm not that keen to see this yet again at the moment, but you never know what'll happen.

Well it starts like this. (Shmi clears her throat and sings out):

    The sky is blue,
and all the leaves are green,

    The suns 's as warm
    as a baked potato.....

    :)

    ...

So, who else is confirmed to go?

There's a good chance Greg will be going, as well.

If therealshmi and I are coming, it will be one of those last minute, 'krunk it' decisions.

    For those who are going,
how about we meet between 6:15-6:30 either right outside the theatre (if weather is nice) or directly inside the main lobby.

After 6:30, those who are there will head into get seats and will hold 3 or 4 more, incase others show up. If its dark in the theatre just yell Crack! or look around and we'll find you.

    Sound good?

I'll try to get Greg to check the forums before he leaves to come down to see who else has confirmed.

    Summary:

Meet: 6:15-6:30 right outside theatre or directly inside the main lobby.
After 6:30, meet inside the auditorium, we'll wave you down.

sound good, Adam; i can definitely be there by 6:30.

[and I own the DVD, Tragic :D But seeing it in a theatre is much more magical. Especially if everyone sings-along in a packed house.]

    Fudge, Packer?

Oh - you'll get no arguments from me that the theatre experience is heads and tails above the home movie experience. Especially in a grand ol' theatre like the Bloor.

But it's a matter of another rent cheque coming up, and my having exhausted most of the spare change from behind the sofa cushions ;)

For my better half, it'll come down to how hard of a day at work did she have and how close to exhaustion is she reaching.

Either way we go - it will be one of those last minute, 'krunk it' decisions. (though if we can't make it, you'll be spared my singing....

"With eyes full of hope as we aim for the...
SKY IS BLUE, AND ALL THE LEAVES ARE GREEN!"

It was a wonderfully fun evening. We were the only ones in the whole theatre who could sing the every song of the musical. Too bad it had to be cut short because it was workday. I would very much like to thank everyone who helped me and Topgun Mike steal the Cannibal the musical posters. They will be a fine addition to both our collections.

Juan Swartz...sigh...I wonder what ever happened to that guy.
