Yeah, I mean, it stinks that he lost the title without being able to defend it due to injury, but it's not like Dana didn't hint before that's what could happen if Cruz got injured again.

I am a bit disappointed that it took them this long to remove Cruz as the title holder, it was holding up the entire division. I understand that injuries happen, but he hasn't fought for 2 1/2 years....after this injury heals he will have had a 3 year break. Anything over 18 months is really excessive and in need of action in my opinion.

Yeah, this. Sad thing is that because of the long injury period I doubt Dana lets Cruz anywhere near the title after this.

Cat Zingano's husband, Mauricio, also a MM artist, hanged himself last night. They've got one kid together.

I'm on DVR delay- just saw the Cerrone headkick KO- that guy has so much potential when he gets his head on straight. He's a lot like Frank Mir was.

    True.

Henderson and Thompson are on their way to the Octagon as we speak.

Sweet, I'll skip the Gonzaga fight. Outdoor hockey in LA I gotta catch up on too.

I think the only way Bendo loses is by submission. I think he wins UD.

Not a really good FOX fight, shame that Josh broke his hand, looks like it was to the thumb- no grip whatsoever. Ben is a class above him, so a split decision is a respectable outcome.

Yeah, not a horrible one, but not one that's come to be expected on FOX. Hopefully Josh's hand heals soon.

A truly weird dude. Not shocking in the slightest. He was talented at one point, but that time has passed, and his absence won't be notable.

Right... so Ronda Rousey is apparently comparing herself to Ric Flair and even has her own 4 Horsewoman stable:

Patrick Cummins signed with the UFC ten days ago. He fights Dan Cormier at 205 tonight, after Evans dropped out.

I think he's got a solid chance to win- would immediately become a sensation were he to do so.

Anybody think there's even the remotest of possiblities of an upset with Rousey/McMann tonight?

    Zero.

Only women in the world who can push her are Zingano, Tate, and Cyborg - who will probably never fight in the UFC because she's filthy when it comes to drugs, etc.

Funny you should mention Cyborg, she apparently has said she'll finally drop to 135 and wants a fight with Rousey.

Dana would likely make the fight because it would make money, but I think Rousey would take a non - steroided up Cyborg's arm (because Dana would absolutely make sure Cyborg's tested at every turn after she got popped for the Carano fight.).

I agree. I don't think we even know what a non-roided Cyborg fights like. Same goes for her husband, who also goes by Cyborg.

Strikeforce's drug policy and testing was a total bloody mess.
