On a related note, Wanderlei Silva's been asked to appear before the Nevada Commission on 6/17 to explain his failure to take his drug test.

    Seriously.

So I caught up on the Diego-Ross and Benson-what'shisname fights.
Bad decision on Diego's fight but at this point it's clear the AC judges are beyond unpredictable.

    Incredible finish from Benson.

Wow. Always hard to see a founder getting fired from the company he built, Bjorn is the main reason Bellator is around, and even thriving with the Spike deal.

CBS/Viacom had a relationship with Coker when Strikeforce was on Showtime, so this somewhat makes sense.

Sad day. A great talent, and entertaining guy, but apparently cannot control himself.

And it wasn't even his mouth that got him in trouble at the end. Just the same sad story that gets most fighters on 'roids eventually.

So the new EA UFC game is apparently awful. But it is filled with hilarious glitches that have been given new life by fake Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg.

We all knew Gustaffson's flying through the air was going to give Jones problems, Mike.

One bit of language at the end.

Struve just passed out in his dressing room, they cancelled his fight with Mitrone.

Too bad for Struve, his career is ending way too early.

To anyone who watched - did you notice DFW chewing Rogan out after he asked that last question to Ronda about fighting on 8/2? They're good buddies, but Dana let loose on him, in front of the cameras. Don't see that often.

Rogan asked the question because with Aldo out with neck issues, there is basically no main event for the 8/2 show.

Yeah - thats what he said. He apparently wasn't aware Ronda was scheduled for knee surgery, and the cat is now out of the bag. Fans will expect her to fight.

Yeah, they will. Understandable that Dana was pissed.

Weidman dominated that fight. He gassed, and Machida won the 4th, but Weidman even got a takedown in that round. Machida should not get a rematch anytime soon,.

So I presume Belfort is next up for Weidman?

Presuming he can get licensed after the fiasco that was the attempted Belfort/Sonnen match.

I thought Machida fought better than it seemed at times. His striking was very sharp when he actually threw some, but he waited way too long to start going on the offensive. Great fight though.

    Rousey, Jesus. Just... Wow.

I don't think DFW's doing any favors for Belfort anytime soon, Juliet.

I think Belfort will have to fight Rockhold and/or Jacare before he goes anywhere - Chris will be out for a while after last night anyway, probably next fight in December.

IIRC, Belfort was supposed to be the #1 contender for Weidman's title after Machida. I believe that's why Sonnen agreed to Belfort as Silva's replacement, if I remember his interviews when the Belfort/Sonnen fight was first announced, that the match would have been for the title shot. So, if that's the case, December would be plenty of time for Belfort to get his own issues with the Nevada Athletic Commission straightened out.

Belfort also campaigned for a title shot and then backed out of it after the TRT ruling. That's a mortal sin in combat sports.

I think he got back into Dana's good graces a little bit by volunteering to fight Chael when Silva ran from the drug test and ended up deep sixing the Silva/Sonnen fight.

So sad to see BJ's career go out on a loss. But it was a good fight between him and Edgar.
