So, here is a thread to only post about ideas for meetings and stuff regarding the current meeting. All your meeting questions and concerns can be asked and answered here. Right here, starting now, from this point on going forward. If you want to talk about anything concerning a meeting. Do it here in this thread.

The thread anouncing the meeting we shall use just to keep track of RSVPs. It makes it easier that way to see how many people are coming.

    Thanks
The Managment, located next to the vending machines on the third level of the 2nd Death Star.

CBM, I do what I'm told. It's easier that way.

Back on topic, any agenda items?

I'm definitely looking forward to Wizard World. But, won't that be kind of like CIV in that people will be dashing around doing different things with their particular friends? It might be kind of hard to coordinate our schedules. Maybe another March date would be nice, too.

Would it be possible to figure out a march date by end of the week?

By one vote the 3/8 won for the March meeting date. Any ideas on where to go? JJ picked the last one.

I always like dinner but I think restaurants can better accommodate a mid afternoon. I'm open right now on the 8th so anytime after 12 would be fine by me.

As for the meeting on the 23rd.
    Agenda:
Conventions - Wizard World LA, Comic Con
    Events - MS Walk
    Next meeting time and place?

    Any other items?

My humble opinion is that Saturday Dinner with friends and buddies is often the highlight of a weekend.

I'm more inclined to a 6pm ish time. But I'm open to arguments for other times if there is a need to have it at a different time.

Chinese for March sounds good, but I must request that it not be on the weekend of the 7-9. I will be in Washington D.C. from the 7-13, most likely.

Of course, this is only a request. If it can't be avoided, I'll catch the next meeting.

Here's the place I wanted to recommend for March.

GF, didn't you say you also have a favorite Chinese Restaurant in Torrance or Redondo Beach or something?

There's also a couple of places I will try to look into this week when I am in Pasadena.

VK2 I am not eating Chinese food at a strip mall! I know where this is located. There is a check cashing place next door!

I need a bit more classier place. I am vain and I'm a snob. The food may be fine, but the location no way.

    Sorry that's just me.

My opinion has no real merit here since I won't be able to attend but if you want real Chinese food you should consider dim sum in Chinatown or Monterey Park. Then again, it may be too exotic for most. Most Chinese restaurants don't serve real Chinese food so if you are going for the fake stuff any way, why not something upscale like PF Chang's?

There are some fantastic places in Chinatown, but what about parking (not "valet parking only" either)? Does anyone know of any good places in Monterrey Park?

I agree. Strip Malls= No way!!! We work hard, lets enjoy a meal. PF Changs will run you 9-12.00 per entree.

(only excpetion to strip mall is when we are seeing a movie after, and limited on time. Like at Sherman Oaks Galleria.)

China Town is not a good suggestion, and that would not be central to 85% of the members who are attending.

EDIT: I will be hanging out with JiltedToo that night, anyway. We will be watching trees grow, recycle, or simply try to stay out of the rain. Otherwise, I would attend.

I'm up for P.F. Chang's. How about the one in the Sherman Oaks Galleria, as it has already been mentioned?
