ST Let's talk about trailer #2...!

I predict Boyega says it aboard the Falcon as Rey flies into the downed Star Destroyer. I can't explain why. It just feels right.

 

Or maybe he says it to his friend/his friend says it to him on the stormtrooper transport at the start of the film. I could see it potentially working there, although I like your suggestion better.

 

I'm going to cry if Luke is in the trailer. Much excitement since 98 I hope this moment.

 

Regardless of how much screen time Luke ends up having in the movie, I'm genuinely not expecting to see him in any of the trailers/promotional material. I'm okay with that, it'll just make it that much cooler and more impactful when he's revealed on the big screen. Getting to see Han, Leia, Chewbacca, R2, and C-3PO would be great, though, even if it's brief.

 

I just hope we get some dialog spoken by the characters themselves...

Well this news on the front page seems to be confirmation of a new trailer to me:

"Fans in the U.K who are unable to attend Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California are invited to enter a competition to win tickets to a live event at Empire Cinema in Leicester Square, London.

Globally there are local events taking place in 35 cinemas across 23 countries, including 6 IMAX locations.

That's the proof in the pudding. If they do show Luke, then MSW is incorrect and there will be more scenes with Luke in the film. If there isn't any Luke scene, then MSW is correct and has been vindicated as such.

Personally, I believe the next trailer is going to be a vindication fest for MSW and the scenes they have been talking about these past couple of months.

 

They could show a quick one second shot of Luke gazing out through the hood of his robes and it wouldn't disprove MSW.

 

Not even the new animated Adam West/Burt Ward continuation of the 60's show?

 

I love Batman (he's my other Childhood hero with Luke ) and I enjoyed the 66 West as a kid and I have to say the new animated 66 movies are too much.... to resist.

 

I'm OK with Synder for DC but he would be terrible for SW.

 

I think it would. If MSW is right (I believe they are) and Luke is only onscreen at the very end for a quick reveal, then there is no way they are going to waste that on a trailer. Moreover if the story arc is indeed a mystery to find Luke, surely you don't show him in the trailer.

If they do show Luke in the trailer, then I am putting my chips down that he has more scenes in the movie. I don't believe that they will because I think MSW has this one right.

 

In the next trailer I figure they will show a hooded figure in the shadows - we won't know if it is Luke or Uber.

They will keep us in suspense.

 

Besides the trailer, WE NEED A POSTER!! COME ON ALREADY!

'' A hooded figure talking to Artoo'' - true or not, I can see them semi-spoiling flashback Luke since it's not even the real deal aka Mark's only scene in the film (enter: evil laugh and Luke lovers, crying)...

Oh, and where from, 'online'? If it's dated April 1st... you know.

 

I'd question any trailer/teaser description that only contains things we already know or could easily infer from existing rumors. All of this I could put together from existing info, there are zero surprises. Whereas when the first teaser landed, there were several surprises.
