ST Let's talk about trailer #2...!

Not knowing the state of the Galaxy has been frustrating....and I'd like to see a glimpse of where things stand between the alliance and the empire.

 

Please note: Any posting of fake trailers needs to be clearly marked as being a joke / fanmade, and it cannot be used to start a new thread; it can only be within an existing thread such as this one. Also, this posting of videos should be kept to a relative minimum so that it does not overwhelm the thread. But I agree - I especially liked JJ's space battles in the first Star Trek so I bet they could come up with something cool for this film.

 

I'd like to know more about the plot.

 

So does anyone think there'll be no more trailers before Celebration at Anaheim?

 

ROTS trailer had suited Vader in it

 

I bet we'll get at least one official still before then, but I don't suspect we'll get a trailer until Celebration.

 

What would make them release a still, to calm fans anguish at some of the rumoured plot revelations?

Dialog , space battle , big 3 & the droids.....

 

The space battles of the OT (Star Wars and RotJ) were FOR something that the viewer was invested in by the times that they occurred.

I loved them. I want them again. I miss them.

To have them, we must have a well conducted plot, and a sense that whatever is going on in any given moment is potentially building toward that epic battlefront in the stars.

It can be done - it was done twice (again, Star Wars and RoTJ)... The closest we've seen in since was the blockade run in TPM (boring and gratuitous). The opening sequence to RotS wasn't invested in the viewer (not boring, but definitely gratuitous).

Give me invested, necessary, AND gratuitous. Please.

I haven't been around lately as I have been busy dealing with some personal stuff that I just can't seem to shake. I was really hoping that a new trailer had been released and people were discussing it here. Suuuuuuuuper let down....

as for the second trailer, i hope for some dialogue, space battles, some of the original cast including the droids, Lightsabre battles, and some more John Williams music.

 

I want to see a creature or two (maybe "Rose?"), a shot of Gwendoline Christie's chrome trooper, and maybe a new style of ship.

 

I don't care what the new trailer has, as long as it has new John Williams music like first teaser did.

 

I want to see more new characters + Daisy

 

We are in all likelihood 52 days away from this sucker now. When did the mostly-accurate teaser description come out from MSW? I'm curious to know when we can expect some "accurate" trailer info this time around

As an aside, were we to get a teaser poster or something about now? Or is that going to wait to April's SW Celebration? Or will that be when the full fledged poster will be revealed?

 

big three together looking up concerned at something off screen with Han reaching for his blaster and Luke and Leia pensive, Luke smirking and flicking a finger saying 'much to learn you have', Rey and Fin LS battling a Dark Robed figure... Chewbacca roaring holding a body, MF in a space battle with Xwings flying escort. a Star Destroyer painted black perhaps? last shot is up an outline of a figure, then snap-hiss of a red saber and we see Drivers' face

 

I don't know what I want in the next trailer except for one thing. Make sure it's freaking epic and makes me go see it in theaters a couple dozens of times.
But I also really want to see how the big three are doing, what's going on with the empire and who the villain will be.

 

I'm thinking it is almost March, If we get a Trailer In April then we should be getting Trailer descriptions soon?
