ST Let's talk about trailer #3...!

What do I want?

I want somebody to light up that Graflex, that's what I want.

And I want it to be Luke ^&***-ing Skywalker.




But, failing that, I'll take a Leia reveal and some more Snoke dialogue. Or even some Kylo dialogue. Keep the rest under wraps so I can oooh and ahhhh come December.

 

I hate exclusive trailers. We're all going to see it in dinosaur-crap quality, so why not just give it to us anyway?

 

Someone will record it with a potato then Disney will be forced to release it early.

 

I am hoping for it to be released maybe 3 or 2 months before the movie's premiere. (If there's not gonna be another teasers)​

It's not gonna be exclusive. They'll have it timed out to drop online the same time it plays at San Diego. They know about potatophones. They don't want potatophones. They're not about to play that game.

I'm hoping/thinking we'll see visible dialogue, some story bits, and a blue or green saber. Vague, I know.

 

I hope they just release a final trailer sometime in november. These teasers get old. It's not that far away.

 

I think what we'll see in the third teaser is:

Poe Dameron
Rey
BB8
The droids
Finn
more Jakku stuff
battles in space
blue and red lightsaber action
The Hutts

...and finally Leia reveal at the end.

Luke and Serkis will be saved until like November for the 2nd theatrical trailer, the first should be in September.

 

Dialogue. Moar dialogue. A better sense of the plot, including mention of missing Luke. Some stuff happening on planets. A bit of the final space battle. Aliens. Leia.

This is Star Wars fandom we're talking about. Six months is akin to six centuries.

 

What will probably be shown:
1. Han and Chewie
2. A fight scene between Finn and Kylo
3. Kylo talking (hopefully it doesn't suck)
4. Dialogue from either Rey or Finn
5. BB-8
6. X-wings vs Tie fighters
7. Quick flashes of Phasma, Maz, and General Weasley
8. Brief idea of the plot (nothing spoilerific, probably just an indication that the war is still going on)
9. R2D2 or C3po
10. Black fade outs
What will likely not be shown
1. Luke (he may provide another voiceover or be shown in his flashback form but we are likely to not see him)
2. Snoke
3. The new 3 leads in a scene together
4. Rey using the lightsaber (they'll save that for the movie)
5. Leia talking or doing any kind of action scene
6. Max Von Sydow
7. Stuff that gives hint to Rey's paternity
8. Poe outside of the X-wing (I think he might live in it)
9. "From Director JJ Abrams"

 

^ Add interaction between Finn and Poe and you've got yourself a perfect trailer. (Even though you think Poe won't be shown outside the X-Wing)

 

We still don't have moving-footage proof he has legs. The official stills are a conspiracy!

I'm joking, I'd like to see Finn and Poe interact for the shipping reasons to get an idea of how the characters personalities are.

 

I feel we won't see Luke until Dec 18th. Crazy that there hasn't even been any concept art of Luke leaked, which i'm happy for.

 

It's actually pretty wild to think that we're getting a trailer next week. Like, that two month wait went by pretty fast. I imagine that they'll start ramping things up soon. With Comic-Con next week, D23 next month, and then the merchandise releasing in September, I think it'll be pretty hard to avoid the Star Wars mania going forward.

Hopefully in this trailer we'll see some more character interaction and more dialogue, especially between Finn and Rey. I won't complain either way, though. More footage in general is nice to have.

 

I agree, did go kind of fast! Compared to the 1st Teaser.

 

Captain Phasma if all goes well after this next trailer we will have five years straight of Star Wars mania maybe more.

 

Yep! Honestly, this is such a great time to be a Star Wars fan.

 

If all goes well, perhaps even the best time to be a Star Wars fan, ever.

Indeed. I could almost wait a few more months without being antsy, but I will not say no to another trailer.

 

Some dialogue too, would like to hear the accents the main characters are using (I'm still a little miffed Liam Neeson didn't just keep his natural accent these years later).

I think we'll see probably everybody including Snoke now that we're out of teaser territory. Maybe not Luke but I suspect they'll sneak him in there in some clever way, like they did in the last teaser.
