Lexicon of the RMFF

I have had numerous questions for newbies and visitors over the past months regarding various sayings and abbreviations that are distinctly RMFF in nature. And after getting the idea of a glossary from Sistine, I thought it was high time we come up w/ one for our little band.

The most popular one I get questions on is this little ditty:

FLOL

Now, for those of you not involved in that little discussion (and it took place over a year ago ), that stands for Force Laugh Oout Loud. Used by the illustrious, or should I say Infamous, kitarusapien.

Please add you own little phrases, expressions, words w/ special meaning here or whatever, as a means for bridging the gao between the newbies and the oldbies.

Man Zoo...you're really strokin' someone's ego there. Any reason why?

 

How come people are questioning YOU about this ZOO?! FLOLFLOLFLOL!

 

i to did wonder what that meant. i just kind of thought, its tim, why ask?

 

Funny, that's what most people say, until they get the nerve to ask me. I've had at least a dozen people ask me what that meant, Tim.

So, come one, what other RMFFisms have confused you in the past?

 

She was in the state and convenient when I remembered I wanted to know

 

I always just thought that Tim didn't know how to spell 'Falafel'.

 

I knew what it meant, but I have not idea why? Perhaps I asked before?

 

I have one:

VD = Voidancer

....unless of course you are the STD/HIV Surveillance Coordinator in which case is translates to something else.......but that's just me

 

Okay, how about a few easy ones:

OT - Original Trilogy
PT - Prequel Trilogy
ANH - A New Hope
ESB - Empire Strikes Back
RotJ - Return of the Jedi
TPM - THe Phantom Menace
AotC - Attack of the Clones
C1/C2/C3 - The various incarnations of the LFL sponsored SW Conventions
SW - Star Wars
LFL - Lucasfilm Limited
DH - darth_hair
ZOO - Me
JGoC - Jedi Girl of Corellia
SC - SITH__CHICK (always make sure to use 2 underscores or you get some wild woman in Australia)
Sith Couple - DH & SC
Basically, we abbreviate the screennames a lot, so get used to it
The Project - Come to meetings to find out this one
Mike (or other derivitives) - The name of every other member in the group (or does it just seem that way )
Skippy 1 - Me (aka Jennifer/Jenn/ZOO/other word not allowed on this board)
Skippy 2 - Mistress (aka Jenn)

Okay, I know I've missed a bunch, but maybe someone else will jump in with some more.

 

I dunno......maybe folks will fess up to their many past SOCKS, HHHhhhhhhmmMMMMMMM!?

 

Man! I wish I'd known about the two underscores like....two days ago! I got a reply PM today that she was like 'I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're ranting about. Purple velvet and boning? Sounds rather kinky to me' -=sigh=-

 

she said that? lol!!

 

YES! And I was at work when I read it and I totally yelled 'WHAT?!' to the dismay of the agents immediately around me that were on calls. -=heavy sigh=- It was quite embarassing.

 

You should have gotten the PM that I got Let's just say yours was milktoast, compared the one I got

"force push" -- something you post in a thread just for the purpose of bumping it up to the front page

Spoiler - anything that might give away what is going to happen in the SW movies/books/comics and any other media program/outlet we may talk about

Spam - No, not potted meat, Sarah. Unsolicited sales pitches. There will be no selling or shameless promoting. The other stuff is just clever posting

IMO = In My Opinion
LMFO = Laughing my face of & you can come up with more, just think about it.

 

Oppm = Net kitty of the PFF (Phoenix FanForce)
OPPM = THe dreaded "One Post Per Minute" warning that drives serious posters insane!
