With last weekend's LexCon over and done I thought I would start a thread for all the local cons in case there's any interest. If I missed one go ahead and add it.

    Conglomeration April 8-10
Local fan run con. We used to have a lot of fun at this one. Anyone still attending? Its been a few years for me.

    Indiana Comic Con April 29-May1
Normally this would be outside our area but they're bringing in Ian McDiarmid, Ray Park, SW author John Jackson Miller and SW artist Dave Dorman so it might be worth a drive.

    Wonderfest June 4-5
The one, the only Wonderfest. Model and prop expo extraordinaire. Our own Jammies usually enters the model contest and can be counted on to bring home some honors. More costumes than you would expect. This is a favorite of the local 501st.

Derby City Comic Con June 25-26
A local comic show, this was bought out last year by the people running LexCon so we don't know if it will be the same as years past or it will have more of a LexCon flavor.

    FandomFest July 29-31
This one has had its ups and downs over the years but they usually bring in some good celebs. It's early but besides Stan Lee the guest list is looking pretty thin. A lot of Godzilla guests if that's your thing.

I'm leaning towards Sunday at Wonderfest myself, just to avoid some of the crowds.

Wonderfest is looking a little iffy for me. The In-Laws are coming into town that weekend to help out with some projects around the house.

It's iffy for me too, at least on the entry front.
Oh, I will have some to show-- but it wasn't what I wanted (I should actually finish something before starting a new kit).

Now they announced a new one time thing: best Star Wars entry, as judged by ILMer Erik Chu. (thats not his name, but close). I got nothing that worthy (but someone will, and thats cool). I knew I should have quit my job to build my endor diorama.

It was awesome. So much talent this year. I can home humbled, but the best star wars winner was a 1/72 x-wing that was amazing.

Next year, I'm going to entire two dozen kits. That is my goal.

The "how toos" were great, except sadly the AV went out during the packed "how to paint a millennium falcon" session. Lots of farscape/henson/dark crystal stuff in the museum room.

I will try to find some photo galleries for you all.

Nice. Always good to see The Warz well represented.
