Well, beat my friend using Krassis on a Firespray and a couple of Interceptors. Will have to try this combo out more. Heavy laser cannon is killer tough!

    Wolf,
Can any other craft take on a Heavy Laser Cannon? Anything from Wave 3?

Jammies, not sure yet. I think the Lambda may be able to. Don't have a Falcon so not sure if they have the slot available. It's expensive at seven points, but totally worth it when used correctly.

What kills this for me is the price. I got a five by four star studded piece of fabric at Walmart for like five bucks.

I have one of these. I actually picked it up at the store that hosted the tournament where I met Wolf at. Yes it was pricey but I also bought it as kind of a 'thank you" to the store for hosting and to support a local game shop.

Lol I usually make it a point to buy something were I play tourneys at. In the case of Pet Shop, I've been going there for ages. We need to get some Xwing going soon....

Well I was proud to be part of the presentation of the new capital ships at GenCon on Friday. I was doing a museum troop and the local rebels/imperials recruited me to go over with them and check out the con a little (my first time at GenCon) and take part in the reveal (they'd been trooping for FFG all weekend). I was standing there when they set the ships out on the table (before they put them behind glass) and they look sweet...the Tantive IV and a Rebel Transport with Xwing escort. I was dressed as an Imperial Crewman so when the guy brought the ships out I was like "What? No Imperial ships?". Turns out that guy was the FFG CEO Chris Petersen...ooops. I noticed there was a huge line around the FFG store, like around three sides of the booth. When I asked someone told me they were selling the TIE Bomber, BWing, Lamda Shuttle and Moldy Crow at the store before the rest of us can get our hands on it retail and sure enough when you look at ebay you can see people already selling what they picked up this weekend.

You can see me briefly in my imperial crew (and beard) at the end of the video...around 7:08 and 7:10

I wonder about these small scale "large ships." but I am happy for you that you got to see them in person. Now, I am off to see if I can find them in 1/44 scale.............

Wil Wheaton's Tabletop gaming web series looks at Star Wars Xwing and they have a fun time with it. Hard to tell if the sides are balanced point wise and I'm not sure if they're doing all the rules correctly but there are some nice graphics and some great banter from the players. Oh, and Wil makes some sick rolls. I also like Seth's ObiWan, really makes me sorry we won't get Star Wars Detours.

WANT huh twisty? Well, want an imperial shuttle? got one for sale on the off topic board. This is a resin kit, in 1/144 scale-- but i will game with it anyway. They do sell a pre painted one for the game (with cards and dials) that is 1/270.

And Appo, this is not, saddly, my first start on this but my 3rd! (technically my 4th, i started out with another company's slave one, Fine Molds, but kept fracking that kit up too badly-- might turn that into an EU ship. Call it battle damage.). So, encouragements are great as this was one tough mutha to get just right. The slave one is probably the hardest paintjob in star wars.

For some dull reading, you can see my mistakes here:

    Thanks Chief!(Cool! I'm a captain now?)
Working on it, when I get the time. That, and a lot of other mods.

    FAVOR FOR X-WING GAMERS:
Would anyone let me borrow the cards and tokens for the Wave Two ships? The A-Wing, TIE Interceptor, and the Firesprey?

I can do this but everything is mixed in. The ship pilots are easy to sort out but I don't know which upgrades were unique to each ship and which were duplicates.

    Aye, we do. Or several.

    Mika:

You would so be my best friend if I could scan the pilot cards, and the ship tokens (mainly the Bombs). The other cards would be great too. Not sure what goes with what? Here is a great resource:
www.afewmaneuvers.com has a thread with small pics of all the cards sorted by wave. Too small for what I need, but a cool resource. (I think I typed it right)

Depends. If someone wants to host they get to call the shots. Otherwise for Jammies and I BluegrassMagic on a Friday night seemed to work pretty well. It just depends on if I'm working or not. My weekends are pretty booked up through mid-October.

Ditto.I really want to get my X-wing on too!

Bluegrass Magic on most weeknights works best for me. My Weekends are also kinda tight; but anyone who wants to host-- more power to them!
I do use proxies, just FYI. Same game, same bases, just hand painted models in1/144 scale and copies of a lot of the stat cards.
