Mike Savage is a radio talk show host who got better ratings than the Yankees on CBS. He is a non-compassionate conservative who hates liberals and is a conservative in almost every category. He makes Limbaugh look like Gore Vidal. In tonights show, he compared liberals to the Hitler's Youth with the opposite idealogy.

Have you seen his show? If so, what do you think of it. If not, I recommend you listen to it at least once.

I agree with all of Savage's positions on political issues. He is one of the few talk show hosts that doesn't back down on his positions and leaves no one standing. When there was a very Anti-American British woman making a speech about how bad Bush is, he called her "a old hag".

People who use extremist posistions and use inflamatory remarks to stir controversy and gain popularity and wealth (see Falwell or Michael Moore) are the scum of earth.

Besides it's not a mental disorder, it's just wishful thinking :p

Guys like this annoy me. I am a fairly conservative person, and while I do tend to agree with their positions, they do nothing to contribute to the political debate in this country and only serve to antagonize the other side. They make it easier for liberals to paint conservatives as cold-hearted and ignorant. Comparing people to Nazis is a cheap shot that will never do yield anything constructive, and calling a lady "an old hag" because she has a different view is childish. Talk radio is nothing more than entertainment; give me real political discourse, and I will start listening.

    Ummmm.......yea. Let's applaud this.

Woman: president Bush is doing a horrible job aspresident of America. His policies are totally ridiculous. The axis of evil speech was horrible and he left Colin Powell to try to fix it. For example...

Savage: Ah shutup, you old hag. *click* Next caller. What's that? You have a point to make about gay's rights!? *Slam. Click* Can't I get any real callers on this show! I mean comeon. What're are all these dumb calls I'm getting! Where's the damn producer!

Note: The above do not in any way reflect my positions or opinions (I am actually conservative on quite a few issues but pretty liberal on others.) and I HAVE NEVER HEARD THE SHOW.

Comparing to Nazis is low; but let's not forget, Hitler was, simply put, a non-Compassionate conservative.

Someone, please enlighten me as to what is so conservative about fascism. Wasn't Nazism called National Socialism? What is so conservative about Socialism, for that matter? I am a conservative's conservative, but I never advocate big government or a controlling secret police.

Despite what the uninformed right say about national Socialism, you can't ignore Hitler's hatred of Marxism as an Zionist ideology (Marx was a Jew) as evidence of this pathological hatred of the broad left. Not only did Jews get rounded up in the Holocaust, but socialists, communists and trade unionists were also rounded up and shot.

What is so conservative about Socialism, for that matter?

    Nothing at all! :)

Fascism is an extreme right ideology. Conservatism is merely a "right" ideology. Oh, that an the fascists gave the Nazis most of their seats in the 1933 election...

    But, I digress, sorry.

Jerry Falwell has Jesse Jackson, Rush Limbaugh has Howard Stern; maybe they should match this guy up against Michael Moore so they can cancel each other out like all the others.

The politcal spectrum is a cirle if not an elipse. At some point there's little difference between extremists on either side because the cause gets left at the way-side.

Savage is one of the most annoying radio personalities ever. I rank him right up there with Stern, except that Stern is entertaining and I particularly like his scantily clad guests ;)

I remember after 9/11 he said that instead of helping children grieve the loss of lives, they should focus their anger and let that anger fester inside [face_plain]

Yes, Savage said something along the lines of encouraging children to focus their anger and hatred into actions in defense of the nation.

Heard of him, but haven't heard him. He sounds like he might be a bit like Mike Gallagher, whom I can only take in small doses. Sometimes he's wildly funny, and even informing, but most of his harangues come across as childish rants.

I prefer Sean Hannity for my conservative talk show 'entertainment'.

Wow, this guy sounds like a nutcase. I don't live in America, so i wouldn't be able to hear him. Would someone post some conversation from his show so i can laugh at him?

Someone should invite Savage to look up a little thing entitled "Godwin's Law."

Go to www.WOKV.com and tune in anywhere from 8-10PM Est. You do not need to listen to the entire show to get an idea of what Savage is like. Even if you hate him, it is fun to listen. I do not like this guys personality, but I like a great deal of his politics.

If he made that comment about kids and Sept. 11, then he has a really bad personality.

I remember after 9/11 he said that instead of helping children grieve the loss of lives, they should focus their anger and let that anger fester inside.

Is that an accurate quote of what he said? If so, I'd think what he was trying to say was the "let it turn into something else" line used in 'Red Dawn'. Anger at injustice can produce a determined people who are less likely to feel helpless and be apathetic of a situation.

Granted it comes out wrong, but I don't think he meant children should become hateful Islamophobes.

Good argument, Mr. Savage. How old are you, five? :p

It seems to me his dogmatic and completely unsubstantiated backing of a political school is a conscious effort to trammel in listeners (and hence ratings points and advertiser dollars).

Or, he's popular because it reminds people that no matter how bad things are, they are much better off than had they been born Mike Savage. :D

They should hook this guy up with Ann Coulter.

He makes her look sane by comparison!
