(QUICK) Duel 5 -- Clean-Up Remaining Jedi vs. Remaining Sith (TBA) Additions to the Crew: In addition to myself, we have the following members stepping up in various duties: Jon & Bill R. -- Assistant Directors, Producers. Both have stepped up and requested an opportunity to work in more detail on the show, so they are learning the ropes. Jon has brought some great enthusiasm with getting dueling rehearsals going that were unrelated to the show, and figuring out some basic choreography ideas for duelists who wish to have some more direct guidance. Bill also has a strong production background with his film work on top of his martial arts skill. Both are going to be strong assets and will help make sure that you guys keep a great product rolling out year after year. Mindy -- Stage Manager. Mindy will be helping with some administrative portions of the show, including coordinating scheduling conflicts and assisting with blocking the show. Mindy is also going to be up in the booth running the show and advising spotlight cues, pyrotechnic cues, and music cues. Larry -- AV. Larry steps up every year to videotape everyone's rehearsal videos to assist in the choreography. He will also be taping the show live this year himself. Thank you as always, Larry. You put in many more hours that we all get to see. Chris S. -- Associate Producer. Chris has mainly acted as liaison between the show plans and the rest of the event plans. He has agreed to take part in the production a little more to make sure he has a good feel for the efforts that go into the overall production. Rehearsals (Updated 4/20): Rehearsals will be taking place on Saturday evenings in location TBA. Jon has secured Holy Ghost for April 20th's rehearsal. We are solidifying dates for the other Saturday rehearsals. Rehearsals will also be taking place on alternating Tuesday evenings at Jon's church. Jon has organized many a rehearsal on the side there already so this will keep that in line. Thank you Jon! The next scheduled rehearsal is April 23. For the weeks we are not meeting on Tuesdays, we will be meeting on alternating Wednesdays at a location TBA. First tentative rehearsal is scheduled for May 1. First Rehearsal / Organization Meeting: McKinley Mall Conference Room Saturday April 13 6:30pm (corrected time, not 6pm as earlier stated) Obviously this is a bit short notice but with the loss of the Lincoln Arena as a rehearsal space I wanted to at least get started with some very basic planning. My main priority is to get everyone partnered up so rehearsals can begin and everyone knows who they are fighting. Blocking/Storyboards, & Other Documents: Once we have determined who is dueling who I will be working on the general blocking for the show. That will be online and available as soon as possible. Filming Dates: While this may end up getting condensed, the plan is to have 3 filming dates this year. This will save on the amount of costumes needed to be brought each time (helping to curb the "I forgot to bring that costume" accidents from occurring) as well as allowing more time for each video to be shot. The Bisons staff has mentioned increasing production value as far as lights and microphones, and while those items are fantastic, they require extra setup time between shots. Shoot Date 1 (Stadium) -- All Mascot Shots Shoot Date 2 (Stadium) -- Stadium Shots focusing on Sith that don't require mascots Shoot Date 3 (TBA) -- Jedi Conference Scene A detailed filming schedule is forthcoming once I get to go over some schedule conflicts and then the ballpark's availability. Audio Recording: I will be hashing out the details on audio recording very soon. This will only affect the few members who have dialogue during the live portion of the show. Those with lines in the videos will only need to be present for video filming. Action Items (Updated 4/20): Please send your scheduling conflicts for TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS (for filming possibilities) between now and 6/22 to Mindy. Thanks guys!
