The seasoned MI5 veteran agent winced when Nifesta grabbed her. The big Twi'lek was strong. Shasta responded, "Missed you too, Nifesta."

Then Rayya asked if she was coming along.

Shasta hesitated for a second. "Well, yes and no. There was a little situation on Alderaan that M wanted me to check out. But Ms. Kapanen put that assignment on hold so that I could travel with you to Nadiem. Don't know how involved I can get in the mission, because M still wants me on Alderaan. But I'll be joining you for a little while. Think of me as sort of a..." she paused, "chaperone." She hated to think of herself as a babysitter, but her superiors had their reasons.

Taz stared at the modified transport. She wasn?t exactly sure of its product number, but what really mattered was that it was big. In fact, it was larger than any of the ships she had flown for the commercial shipping company. Those small ships had come in handy quite a few times, and now that there was more to hit with some blaster bolts, things would be a lot trickier. Hopefully the time for space combat with this cruiser would never have to come. Of course, this was just a preliminary look-over from the outside, but Taz was sure that the inside systems were probably going to affirm her suspicions.

The ramp was extended, so she decided to go on board. Since she was the pilot, and had promised that everything would be ready to go in 30 minutes, she figured that it would be in MI5?s best interest to get onboard and warm up the engines. As soon as she hit the end of the ramp, the smell of refinished metal and gear grease hit her. It wasn?t exactly a pleasant smell, but she could live with it. At least it smelled better than some of her other craft; there was one that she guessed was probably fished out of a swamp somewhere the day before she was assigned to fly it. Rented craft could be pretty putrid at times, and she had experienced that first-hand many a time. At least this wasn?t as bad, so it didn?t slow her down one bit.

Looking around, she realized that the ship was rather large on the inside. Judging by an initial estimate, she figured that the ship was roughly 60 meters in length, although she couldn?t see the entire interior of the ship. When it had been a troop carrier, it probably had been more open, but a refurbish job had certainly made things look better for an extended voyage, especially for various agents who were probably used to better living conditions that the regular troop carrier would not be able to provide. She leaned her hand against the bulkhead next to her; seemed rather sturdy. If there was one thing she liked about military craft, it was that they built them rather sturdy. Having a strong hull made it harder for enemies to bring you down, so she reasoned that at least one thing was going in MI5?s favor in using the ship.

As she made her way down the hallway towards what she figured was the cockpit, she passed multiple turrets for the ships? guns. At first glance, it looked as though someone could fire them from a control chair, which would be a positive. If another agent could shoot the broad side of a Sarlaac with a turbolaser cannon, then she could focus on flying. Of course, this was pure speculation, as she hoped that she wouldn?t have to end up in a space skirmish while en route to Nadiem, but any smart pilot knew their ship inside and out. If anything went wrong, and piloting became of critical importance, then having someone else controlling the firing mechanism would come in handy. Now, this whole plan also depended on the competence of another agent or two to fire the turbolaser cannons, which was something that she rather doubted. No offense to any of the agents, but from what she had seen in the briefing room, chances were that none of them were ace gunners. She was going to have to hope that battle was not going to be part of the trip, although it was a time of war, and anything could happen.

Finally making her way into the cockpit, she set her backpack down and sat in one of the control chairs. It wasn?t that comfy, but she didn?t expect much. Military craft weren?t exactly known for comfy arrangements for pilots. Heck, pilots were sometimes lucky they had a control seat, so she considered herself lucky to have something that wasn?t straight-up steel with no padding. In front of her sat a decent-sized control panel; using her pilots? instincts, she quickly figured out the different sets of controls. The flying controls, including the steering wheel, were situated in front of the chair next to her, which probably was the pilots? seat. The seat she was sitting in had various secondary controls in front of

IC: Agent Nifesta, Docking Bay 4

"Sorry," Mitch said in a softer tone, acknowledging Shasta's wince.

    "Missed you too, Nifesta."

Think of me as sort of a...chaperone."

Alderaan? The agent remembered the mission to Alderaan, though he had not been personally involved. There had been a friendly fire incident, eventually ending a good agent's career.

He wanted to ask if MI5 were welcome back on Alderaan. He wanted to ask if she wanted some company.

He kept his peace, standing over the gathered agents.

The sound of bootsteps on hollow metal, turned him to look past the Miralian, spying Agent Shiliya coming down the embarkation ramp.

Mitch bowed his head deferentially towards the pilot, appreciating her response to his journey-time query back in the briefing room. No personal jibes like other agents.
He thought of the Zeltron, and Rax, and tried counting to ten, slowly.

    Pythia Rayya, Docking Bay

"Well!" Pythia downed the last of her caf and dropped the polythene cup smartly into a roving waste droid. "Everyone seems to be here, and the ship appears to be in good working order. It looks like we should be on our way, then."

She turned, deferring to the older agent. "If you are comfortable with that, Ms Moonreaper?"

The Mirialan's brisk tone was concealing a good deal of pre-flight, pre-mission jitters that the caf had by no means helped. Breathing deeply, Pythia calmed herself with a quote from Power Princess. She'd loved that old holotoon as a kid, and still kept some of the episodes on her datapad for old times' sake.

Be brave, my daughter- and never forget that in a world full of ordinary beings you are powerful.

It was going to be fine. They had a chaperone, they didn't have to kill anybody, and one of the most powerful secret organizations in the world was backing them up. Plus the Flying Eyeballs. A thought occurred to Pythia and she turned to the rest of the agents. Suddenly, she felt brave. Maybe it was the quote. Maybe it was Shasta. Maybe it was the caf.

"Before we depart, actually, a word: I know that many of you were expecting something a little different from MI5. So was I. We've had some differences of opinion and some of us haven't made a very good first impression. Some of us have our own ideas about how the mission should be run. M picked you all as individuals, but I can tell you honestly that if we don't work as a team we might as well not bother at all. So I'm telling you as your Mission Control- as someone who knows how plans and tactics work- we all have to work together. That means no arguing, no petty insults. We're all adults, and we're all professionals in our chosen fields. Let's act like agents and let's bring Master Sharkey home."

"Everyone seems to be here, and the ship appears to be in good working order. It looks like we should be on our way, then." Pythia Rayya said. Then she turned to Shasta. "If you are comfortable with that, Ms Moonreaper?"

Shasta was sort of surprise by that question. Though she was a veteran and a well-respected agent in MI5, she still hated to be treated like a "higher-up" or one of their superiors. She just wanted to be one of the agents. "You didn't need to ask permission," she responded. "But it sounds fine to me." Yup. She was just another agent. Now, Europa on the other hand... She was to be treated as a superior, because, well, she is a superior.

They listened to Ms. Rayya give her little speech before boarding.

After that "good first impression" comment she made, Rax started thinking. He wasn't sure if Nifesta's storming-out-of-the-room earlier was due to him or not. Having been a bodyguard, he spent most of his time guarding bodies and didn't have much time for a social life. (Well, with the exception of Riyo Chuchi.) He wasn't used to dealing with people socially. He didn't want a mission to fall apart because of something he did. He paused, then turned to the big Twi'lek. "Hey, Mitch," he started. "Had no intention of insulting you earlier. I have no problems with Force-Sensitives, really. I even have a few Jedi friends. My little comment was intended to be a joke. Obviously it wasn't a good one."

He stuck out his hand to shake.

The Zeltron felt a twinge of unease and nausea as the big Twi'lek rejoined the group; hostility, black-liquid-oily-acrid, unmistakable. Had the diplomat truly been the cause? Violet-prickly-jangling; nervousness, from their Analyst. And then, it shifted, and was replaced. Silver-steely-smooth. Courage. Confidence. The Zeltron drew in the sensation, holding it close.

It gave Ambaros the steadiness to put aside pride for a moment, to act as a diplomat should. Forget the insult - it doesn't matter beside the need to do your job. Forget offense and anger. They're not constructive. The Zeltron took a deep breath, and took the few steps to where Mitch Nifesta stood.

"Agent Nifesta, you have my apologies if my caution seemed to be a slight upon you. It was not intended as such." A wan smile. "I have been caught out by those expected to supply me far from home before, and I fear the experience has led me to over-think details while I am in places with the luxury of room to prepare. It would be deeply regrettable if such a difference of personalities made our cooperation difficult." Neutral, polite, gently-spoken.

The Zeltron's ego could stand it if Nifesta did not offer a similar apology. What mattered was that their disagreements not jeopardise the mission.

Mitch's attention was drawn from the pilot, but his peer responding to Rayya's query.

"You didn't need to ask permission," she responded. "But it sounds fine to me."

Mitch gazed at the Mission Controller in surprise. He had expected her to feel undermined by Agent Moonreaper's 'chaperone' role.
    That was a good speech.

"You will do fine, Agent Rayya." Mitch encouraged.

    "Hey, Mitch," A voice said.

The twi?lek looked over several heads before finding the speaker beside him. It was Rax. "Had no intention of insulting you earlier. I have no problems with Force-Sensitives, really. I even have a few Jedi friends. My little comment was intended to be a joke. Obviously it wasn't a good one."

He stuck out his hand to shake.

With a sigh, the Twi?lek grasped the other?s smaller hand, and shook it. ?You are forgiven. I too could have been more patient. You young agents need patience and encouragement, not my ire.?

He was most surprised by the Zeltron, Agent Phunett?s approach, then, "Agent Nifesta, you have my apologies if my caution seemed to be a slight upon you. It was not intended as such." A wan smile. "I have been caught out by those expected to supply me far from home before, and I fear the experience has led me to over-think details while I am in places with the luxury of room to prepare. It would be deeply regrettable if such a difference of personalities made our cooperation difficult."

The God of Cops did not know what to say. He briefly contemplated going ?C?mere.? and gathering the pink-skinned diplomat up into his arms and swinging him...her...it... around, but he had been developing a mental Awkward Moment Detector in the last few years, and more to the point, listening to it; right now, it was cautioning, Noooooooooooooooooooooo ? it had big lungs ? ooooooooooooooooooooo ? really, massive lungs ? ooooooooooo.

So he shook Phunett's hand instead.

?Again, Agent Phunett. I should be more patient. You kids do things differently from my day. But you all have value to the mission, and Master Sharkey is lucky to have you all in his corner.? He looked around at the group, looking into each earnest face. ?If he is alive, and this was not over a bed, you are the people to get him back.? He continued silently, and shielded, And then I?ll smoke the son of a Bith who took him.

    Pythia Rayya, Docking Bay 4

Pythia couldn't have hidden it even if she'd tried. The Mirialan beamed from ear to ear as she watched the three agents make up their differences. Perhaps this mission would be okay. No. She believed this mission would be a success. Negative thinking and doubt was not going to help anybody on Nadiem.

"Well put, Agent Nifesta." Pythia smiled, quietly ignoring the 'bed' comment (where had that come from?). "Now, if we're all done here, I don't think we should test Ms. Shiliya's patience any longer." This with a nod to the pilot, then back at the group. "We're needed on Nadiem."

Turning, she walked up the ramp into the transport, her bag of belongings slung over her shoulder.

The other agents did some hugging and making up after Pythia gave a nice speech about their mission. Tara nodded, it looked like they were going to be getting off on a better foot than she originally thought.

"I agree. Let's get the show on the road as they say."

Walking up the ramp Tara looked around the ship. It was certainly an impressive modification. Placing her bag in one of the storage crates she sat in a nearby seat.

"Have you ever been to Nadiem before Pythia?"

Satisfied with his situation with Nifesta, Rax escorted the staggering Rex up the ramp. The other agents began entering the ship as well.

Shasta had to crack a smile with all these apologies and this sensitive little moment. M and Europa would be pleased. Looks like Ms. Rayya may turn out to be quite an operative in the agency. She already had some of the agents kissing and making up. Rayya looked like she had things under control. Maybe Shasta didn't need to go on the mission after all. But her superiors ordered it, and, as the good little veteran agent that she was, she would obey those orders.

"Alright, let's go," Shasta said. "We've got a mission to get to. The Separatists aren't gonna wait for us."

Now, if we're all done here, I don't think we should test Ms. Shiliya's patience any longer." said the Mission Controller. Taz appreciated the notice of her presence on the embarkation ramp, yet she almost didn?t want to go just yet. This mission wasn?t exactly going to be easy; some of the other agents still didn?t quite seem to fit together. If the MI5 mission was a jigsaw puzzle, Taz wasn?t sure if all of the pieces were going to fit into place. She hoped they would, as this mission wasn?t going to be a walk in the park. Not that she had expected anything less.

One by one, the different agents made their way up the ramp. First came the Mission Controller; Taz was horrible with names. She hoped that she could at least get to know everyone?s name by the time they reached Nadiem. It would be important. Then came another agent, the Pantoran and the drunk, followed by the mysterious new woman. Taz still had no idea how she fit into the picture, but that would probably sort itself out soon enough. "We've got a mission to get to. The Separatists aren't gonna wait for us." She was right; things were going to get harder from this point forward.

Waiting until the agents climbed aboard and had settled in, Taz made her way to the cockpit. She was going to execute some pre-flight checks before getting clearance to leave the hangar. The worst thing that could happen if she didn?t was either running out of fuel, having something important break, or colliding with another ship after takeoff. These parts of the mission were boring and monotonous, and Taz wished she never had to undertake them, but they were important nonetheless. Placing her trusty goggles over her eyes, she stretched her arms out quickly to loosen them up. Being loose was important; it helped her concentrate, and also be able to pilot for longer periods of time.

After she felt sufficiently ready, she flipped on the primary ignition. The engines gave a dull whine as they warmed up; they hadn?t been used in a while, so she would have to take some extra time to allow them to reach full potential. Opening up several of the exterior flaps and valves, she let the system slowly get up to speed. This process would take about five minutes, so any Agents who were running late still had time to get on board. However, she was sure that there was another transport leaving, just in case some people were late or had needed additional time to pack.

Grabbing the captain?s headset from its hook on the console, Taz placed it on her head. Moving the mic in front of her mouth, she fidgeted with the set for a few moments to get it adjusted correctly. When it was properly fitting, she opened up the comm. channel transmitter. Flipping another button, she switched over to the channel of the hangar staff. ?Agent Shiliya of Operation Eyeball requesting clearance from Hangar. Security clearance Oh-One-Oh-Three-Two-Seven-Nine, readying MI5 transport for takeoff. Copy, tower, over.? The channel went silent for a few seconds, then came back with a crackle.

?Clearance granted, Agent,? said the tower operator. ?You may launch when ready. Over.

?Copy,? Taz said. ?Agent Shiliya out.? Another flick of the comm.. controls, and the link was terminated. Now, she dialed in the ship?s interior comm. system. There was supposed to be a comm.. unit in the seating area, so she was going to test this out before taking off. Flicking on the link, the transmission feed opened up, and she could hear some slight static coming through her headset. ?This is your captain speaking. I?d like to welcome you to ?MI5 Luxury Liners?, your number-one source of luxury mission starship flights.? She waited a few moments before speaking again. ?All jokes aside, I?ve received clearance from the tower, and we?ll be ready to go almost any minute now. Is everyone aboard, and with all of their important equipment. Give me an ?All Clear? response when we?re ready to take off.? With this, she waited

Relieved at the negation of the tension regarding Nifesta, Ambaros headed up the ramp. There was hardly any thought needed as to who to stay closer to for now; the Analyst felt like a clear bright spring of water at the moment, bubbling up with positive emotions. A very good thing to keep a Zeltron's nerves steady and mood pleasant, all up. The diplomat smiled a little, carrying the bag and pack easily into the ship.

A quick check verified that everyone was coming; not for nothing had the diplomat elected to shepherd Ricca to the hangar, after all.

The all clear, however, would be given by another; someone certain.

IC: Agent Nifesta, Last Bolt, Docking Bay 4.

As the other personnel started to file up the ramp, the urban-camo'd globe asked, Do you want me to plug into the ship's systems?

"Negative." The twi'lek shook his head. "Unless asked, I think you and I can take this flight off, piloting-wise. Only five hours flight time anyway, give or take."

Where did you hear that? The Last Bolt queried as it disappeared into the ship hatch.

Mitch got a better Force-grip on the metre-square box, which had started to list in mid-air while he had been getting touchy-feely with the others, and stomped up the ramp after his artificial companion. "Is it not?"

Put it this way; we are going to need a cabin and bunks. This is going to be long-haul, Agent.

As his eyes adjusted to the internal lighting, Mitch spotted a cabin, one of several, on the right side of the central hallway, and poked his head in, seeing if it had already been "bagsied."

    Nope, looked unoccupied.

Leaving the door open so as not to isolate himself from the others so soon, Mitch entered, and dropped his backpack, and himself onto the bare white matress. He hoped onboard storage would have blankets.

The bed looked to be designed for normal clone specifications, so he would not be able to stretch out on it, but that would not be a problem.

He lowered the box carefully to the deck, significantly reducing his available floorspace. Mitch took the MI5 datapad out of the backpack, and set it down on the box.

He looked up at the ceiling as Taz voice echoed throughout the vessel: "This is your captain speaking. I?d like to welcome you to ?MI5 Luxury Liners?, your number-one source of luxury mission starship flights.?

A small smile creased the twi'lek's face.

?All jokes aside, I?ve received clearance from the tower, and we?ll be ready to go almost any minute now. Is everyone aboard, and with all of their important equipment. Give me an ?All Clear? response when we?re ready to take off.?

Mitch's gaze roved over the bulkheads, looking for some kind of wall communicator, then rose off the bed to check outside the door for one. If there was a way to respond, it was too subtle for him. He looked back at the Last Bolt. "You want to head up to the cockpit, give her my 'All Clear'?"

    Meaning-

"Yeah, go up and give her my 'All Clear'."

The ITO globe moved out into the corridor, its repulsors swerving it to the right in the direction of the cockpit, A 'please' would not go amiss.

"How about a hug when you come back?" Nifesta turned back into the cabin, and wondered what to do next.

Meanwhile, the LB floated past Rex and Rax. You want to get him to a bunk. Is he going to be alright without any alcohol on this tub?

At length, the cockpit was reached, and the ITO hovered in, going in to drop lightly onto the co-pilot's seat. Good evening, Agent Shilaya. Agent Nifesta relays his 'all clear' status. Pythia Rayya, Transport

Pythia entered slightly ahead of everyone else, so she got to toss her bag into the cabin of her choice. Not that every cabin wasn't identical, but she was mildly gratified to be able to do so all the same. Coming out of the cabin, she sat down next to Tara. She hadn't talked much to the agent from Naboo, so she was pleased to have the opportunity.

"Have you ever been to Nadiem before, Pythia?"

"I'm afraid not." Pythia shook her head, slightly embarrassed. "I've actually never been off-world before. This is my very first space flight."

Unconsciously, she traced the diamond tattoos on the back of her hand. They linked her to a homeworld she'd never even seen. "I always meant to go to Mirial, but with the war and everything..."

Pythia trailed off, looking around at the other agents. "Do you think everyone has boarded, Agent Okeanos? I suppose it falls to me to give the all-clear..."

OOC: For those of you who don't know Shasta, she is an "oldbie" from the earlier 007 Style games. She's still hanging in there. ;)

    Name: Shasta Moonreaper
    Species: Human
    Gender: Female
Previous Profession: Assassin in her early days, MI5 agent in the past 2 decades
Skills: Blasters, Rifles, Sniping, Hand-to-Hand combat...you name it, she's got it (with 20 years of MI5 experience)
    Age: 50
    Appearance:
    [image=http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110118034458/swfanon/images/e/e3/Shasta50.png]
Short Bio: Having grown up on Alderaan as a tomboy, her parents didn't approve of her playing with guns. So when she got older, she trained and became an assassin-for-hire. But she would only take the jobs that benefited the galaxy. For instance, taking out a Hutt crime lord. She wouldn't assassinate someone who didn't deserve it.

She had refused SMERSH's proposition to assassinate the Queen of Naboo way back in 42 BBY. Then she saw MI5 at work, fighting against SMERSH, and decided to join them. Over the next two decades, her skills improved drastically and she became a well-respected agent in MI5. Today, she is regarded as one of MI5's greatest agents.
Anything else to add: She may have seniority over the younger, newer agents, but she still considers herself a regular agent just like them. She also doesn't talk much about her age. She would rather not brag about the whole "fabulous at 50" thing...even though she could.

"You want to get him to a bunk. Is he going to be alright without any alcohol on this tub?" a voice was heard saying as the floating orb went by.

Rax looked up. "He's gonna have to be." He helped the drunken agent get to one of the empty rooms and he laid him down on the bed. "Sleep it off," Rax said to him. "Save your energy. You're gonna need it for this coming mission." Rax then headed back out to the room where the others had gathered.

Out at the boarding ramp, the elder agent Shasta was ushering in the remaining agents. (ooc: whoever hasn't posted their entrance into the ship will be ushered in by Shasta. I think it might just be Ricca. Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Shasta headed back into the ship closer the ramp behind her. "That should be everybody," she said as she quickly took a head-count, looking at all the faces around the room.

"I suppose it falls to me to give the all-clear..." she overheard Pythia say to another agent.

Shasta smiled and said, "We're good to go." She waved Pythia toward the cockpit.

    Pythia Rayya, Transport

    "We're good to go."

Pythia nodded at Shasta and stood up to do a quick headcount just in case. Sure enough, everyone was present and correct, either in their own cabin or congregating in the central corridor. Making her way up to the cockpit, Pythia edged past the floating sphere that had accompanied Nifesta at the ramp and caught the tail end of its introduction. Apparently it was some kind of AI? She shrugged inwardly. The twi'lek was full of suprises.

"All clear back there." The Mirialan told Taz. "You can depart when ready."

OOC: I suppose this MI5 transport vessel is probably going to need a name. I can't come up with anything at the moment. Anybody have any ideas?

    OOC: The Aston Martin? :p

Also I'm wondering if we should timeskip to our destination? Unless anybody has a burning desire to roleplay out four days on a shuttle in hyperspace.

OOC: Hmm... being inspired by Iain M. Banks i feel the need to suggest humorous names, like Dramatic Exit, Gunboat Diplomat, or Honest Mistake. But that's just me.

Edit: Or my personal favorite ship name I've ever seen. This End Up. Plus I'm cool with a time skip seeing as I won't be introduced till you arrive at the station anyway I'm keen on you getting there soon :p

OOC: I'm cool with a timeskip, wasn't anything I wanted to do.

OOC: I think a partial timeskip would work. We could get some extra character development in about one day of game time, and then skip the rest. Of course, that's only if we have a smooth ride to Nadiem; is anything potentially planned for the journey that we'd need to roleplay for? That's my only concern to the idea of skipping ahead.

OOC: Well, I shot my bolt with the Miyami Vice. How about Kaos Theory? Been listening to one of their old CDs, from '92!

Ooh! How about the St Vitus' Dance? That was Sonny Crockett's boat in Miami Vice!

The Eyeballs' guy said they could evac' us off Nadiem if need be; if that becomes necessary, I would second Kahn's Dramatic Exit for that craft.

Actually, Gunboat Diplomat does have that feel from when Britain Ruled The Waves, so might be suitable for a 007-theme.

OOC:And to be honest my edited in suggestion of This End Up actually popped into my mind when I recalled your description of the craft at hand. And I did recall your mention of Miyami Vice but I thought it was reffering to another craft.

OOC: You were correct first time. Miyami Vice referred to an already converted Consular cruiser over in Docking Bay 8, that Pytthia denied Mitch permission to board, hence, 'shot my bolt'.

I missed why we changed to Docking Bay 4?

Partial time-skip is fine by me.
