Chic, IL Life Day Celebration - Let's party!

It?s that time of year again ? time for the Chicago Force annual Life Day Celebration!

This year?s Celebration will be Saturday, December 15, 2007 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at my house.

We will have all the traditional Life Day activities:

The viewing of the Holiday Special ? a must if you have never had the pleasure.

The Grab Bag gift exchange ? Bring a gift for the grab bag and go home with a gift from the grab bag. Gifts are limited to $20.00 - $25.00 (no gift cards, please). Be creative ? there are a ton of Star Wars related items out there!

The toy collection ? we will again collect toys for donation to a local children?s charity. Bring an unwrapped toy. For a bonus this year, everyone who donates a toy will receive a free Chicago Force t-shirt.

While you are not required to bring a food and/or beverage item, the party is always more fun with more food. Think of something good ? or I will give you an assignment.

If you drink adult beverages ? please bring your own.

I'll be there for both the book club at 4pm and the party at 6.

I'm bringing a green salad.

 

I will also be attending both the book club and the party, and will have my famous Waldorf salad ready to serve.

 

I think the waldorf salad pushed me over the edge on this one... we'll just see if the wife is off that night.

 

If in doubt on what to bring, beer brings cheer!!!

You better bring me 10 bucks. I spent my coffee fund on tips for the poor cleaning lady who had to deal with your over cheer consumption.

Odds are looking better and better that I'll be there, not sure about April though.....

 

So I think I'm bringing a dessert of some kind.

 

I'll be bringing a cheese and meat tray.

And a gift for the exchange!

 

A bump and a reminder that we will also be taking toy donations at the party.

And a grim reminder that we will have the "Star Wars Holiday Special" playing.

I will be bringing something from Sara Lee since my sister works there. I wish I could do some dutch oven cooking but there is no place to do it there.

FYI I can not shuttle people this year from the train, since I am not sure I will have access to a car.

 

I doubt you'll be able to lure anyone into a bed long enough to both fart AND pull the covers up. You might be able to stink palm someone though but I suspect you'll lose some teeth in the process.

 

geeze even when I say a normal word and stuff it can be skewed to be well..

A dutch oven is a cast iron pot. Use it a lot in scouts and when camping makes good cobbler which I wanted to do for a long time just circumstances always came up.

 

I believe that's more accurately called a "Cleveland Steamer."

 

I've decided that I'm going to bring Brownies.

 

Since I can't be there I made all my friends an online Christmas Card.
