Here's the details I have so far:

    Date: December 7.
    Time: 7 pm? 8 pm?
Location: This is the tricky part.

I (and by "I" I mean "Ken" since I'm rarely home when the building manager is there) looked into the party room in my apartment building, and it is booked for the 7th. Also, it costs $25/hour, and they said something about another $25 for a "patrol". There's also a $300 deposit in case we were to wreck the joint - they tear up the check. $25/hour isn't bad at all (downright cheap) so we can keep it in mind for future parties. The capacity is about 75 bodies.

So, we need a location. At the meeting, Tim and Jen volunteered their place as did Ken and I. Any ideas? Preferences? Let's hear 'em!!

We also need ideas on what we want to do - do we want a rockin' party with munchies and punch? Or a pot luck dinner? Again, ideas, preferences, let's hear 'em!!

Okay... Bumping this because we need to decide about food, activities, etc. At least we have the place decided (Tim & Jen's), so that's a step in the right direction.

I am planning on bringing cupcakes. Beyond that, I dunno what's going on.

    Anyone?

And here is a question: Are we having alcohol at all? I don't really care, but call me curious.

Well, we'll be heartily sick of card by then, so other things to play is a fine idea!!

Also, if anyone has a copy of the infamous holiday special, it should be brought!! Those who fear to watch it can hide on the balcony. (Or the TV can be moved to the balcony, but that seems hard.) I don't have it, though I will scour my video collection for my copy of the Muppet Show with Luke Skywalker.

You should also track down a copy of the Star Wars Christmas CD, "Christmas in the Stars." I make my wife listen to it every year.

I've never been to Chuck E Cheese before.
Its like a food place with games for kids - right ?

    I'm sure we'd fit in perfectly :)

My favourite coffee place was taken over yesterday afternoon by loads young girls [face_plain] it was like a 14 year olds birthday party or something - loads of bad make-up efforts everywhere.

I got my coffee and left.

Ick, I don't blame you. I would have left too. Nothing annoys me more than teenyboppers. Well, maybe there is something that annoys me more, but I can't think of it at the moment...

And yeah, CEC is mainly a place to have birthday parties and what not for little brats and their friends. It was such a sacred place to me as a child... As an adult it doesn't hold quite as much wonder.

Edit: I want to say that incase any teenage girls are reading this and getting offended, I didn't mean to imply that I hate all teenagers. Just teenyboppers. Not all teenagers are teenyboppers. For example, TK is not a teenybopper.
