ya know, if they wanted to make more movies out of bad '70's books, at least they could have done more Harold Robbins.
I dunno, there's bats in the belfry, skeletons in the closet and a missing foster child nobody cares about in a JCCer's basement. But I'm just guessing.
That's understandable - it cut everything remotely controversial to get a PG-13, was savaged by the critics, and totally bombed at the box office.
