Phil - is this like, continuing every Wed? Or is it just one Wed?

Eh, put me down anyways. If it ends up that I need to miss a Wed. class, I'll just bet on me losing the week before :p

You need to post the rules:

IHO weapons should be either lightsabers or standard shinai's...agreed? No rapiers or modified shinai's.

I would say so, as long as they have sufficient skill to be safe on the field. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who has never fought before but there is still time to get people up to speed.

Anyone can enter. The only requirments are that A) They have been cleared to participate in the saber class (normaly we can get somone going in one day). And that all the rules and regs are followed (this is for safty purposes mostly).

I recomend to every one that we get in some practice. This tournament will bring out the skill in every one. Our best fighters will be at there best and the least skilled will raise to the occation.

This should be a lot of fun.

Again. I will be taken signups from all that wish to participate. But people have never been with us in class may not be able to compete without some training.

I recomend that if you have never been in this before, come at least the week before the tournament and learn.

    Thanks
    Phil

They are welcome to... but a few things must happen first.

    A) we need a commitment from each particapent that they will be there.

    B) we must verify that they are safe on the feild and have a clear understanding of the rules. Master Zhi-don may already know some of them and will be able to vouch for them... however we don't know them all and would have to be sure... just for safty.

If their instructor [Danakin] will vouch for them, that is good enough for me.

Cool. Then so long as they have been cleared and make the commitment to show... they are more than welcome!

Assuming we are holding the tournament on Wednesday night, then I wouldn't expect anyone to show up. If we held it at Sunday's class then those out the area would be able to come.

Phil....change of location for the tournament?

Phil is posting again, probably because of that movie where big shadows attack those 1foot tall planetary probes, and he's a big fan of Josh dumell :p The tournament is just a plus.

Off topic, seriously phil, keep that other thread up. Its deeply appreciated.

As for moving the tournament. It seems like more people show up wednesday, plus if we are inviting the SD people, the prizes should be more inviting, because of the insane distance they'll travel. I would like to see them, but the prize should be better. Thus weather or not they exhibit skill, they are more inclined to come back.
