Hmmm... so once again I find myself with a partner who could care less about this and, like several others, am at a loss for a means to complete this.

So... sadly take me off the list.

This makes it three times in a row now. I don't know why I even bother.

I'm just putting this out there for the future, if any Bay Area people ever need someone for a duel or anything, seriously PM me. The people around me never stay focused on duels... which sucks because I am hopelessly obsessed with dueling.

 

Same here. I remember I wanted to duel with my friend who was very athletic, and happens to be a Star Wars fan. His level of fandom was revealed to me after I approached him with the idea of a lightsaber duel, showed him my work (that I can pull this off) only for him to say "That's too geeky.".

Of course I was mad when he said that...quick punch to his stomach and I was mad no more. Hooray violence! That's Hispanic temper for you folks.

 

Oh man, I'm so happy! I just figured out probably the hardest and coolest effect shot in our duel. I haven't even finished off the whole effect yet I can't stop watching the animation loop in AE. I can't wait to show this now. The craziest part is I tracked the camera by hand...yes...by hand...in After Effects...in 3-freaking-D.

Can you sense a little bit of pride?

 

Help needed!

We shot our LCC-video with a preinstalled 16:9-framing. So our problem is, when we render the whole thing, what aspect ratio do we use to "unsqueeze" the picture if you know what I mean (can't bothered meddling about in technical terms^^).

Check your pixel ratio. It's different for each aspect ratio.

I am having trouble getting my vid below 30 mb, im worried about the sound, uncompressed i can get the vid below 30 mb but the sound quality sucks and when i compress the sound its over 30 mb what compressions are recamended

Sadly, this fly must also drop. Some foot injuries and laziness interfered. . .bah we have no excuse. Peraps we can finish it on our own time and make it just a fanfilm. . .

Well, I've been working all day, I'm about 75% finished and I'm really pleased with some of the shots I have. Anyway, I've been having trouble converting videos to .mov, so I was wondering if someone would be willing to convert it for me if I sent them a yousendit link sometime tomorrow (hopefully early tomorrow) once I'm finished.

 

What's the problem exactly?

 

I'm sorry to see so many people dropping out. I'm still planning on submitting mine, thought it wont have any effects on it. Hopefully it wont count against me, thought in the long run, it probably will.

Talk about cutting it close. I'm shooting tonight, editing in the morning. Its Winter Duel all over again. At least this time we had choreography and a location down a week prior to shooting, so hopefully it shows. I just got back from an on location practice before we shoot tonight. I cracked my forehead open with a wooden dowel. So if i have a giant blood stain or bruise on my head in my entry, thats why.

One more thing, I'm in eastern time. It needs to be sent by 12:00 midnight may 1st. So pretty much by midnight tonight (when we start shooting), i'll have 24 hours, correct?

 

I almost want to just send my entry in (even though I don't like it) because so many are dropping out.
