Don't say how long it took! :)
When the clips are posted with their times they will be unlabled. If yours is the only one that took about an hour then we'll know it's yours and what app you used...

For the competition we aren't going to post times, just the clips.

At the moment I have two finished clips. Phaket, have you finished yours then? Fancy sending it through?

Daft, potentially good news, froma certain point of view. :D

My Dad has brough the only computer which has Adobe Premiere on back, and I've managed to book some time on it, to covert the files into something i can use.

So hopefully I might be able to have a go

So we are officially dropping the timing idea?

The timing will be told after the voting is done.

That way people won't just say, 'Well, this prog wasn't as good, but the time was lower'. It'll all be blanced out in the end.

Yeah, but one thing about times is that a time may be misleading. Someone may just be using an inefficient, time wasting method or something, and people would look at the time and say "Yuck! I don't want to use that program if it takes that long!"

The_Iron_One, Send it on through to me if you've finished. Assuming it's a small(ish) file, (under 5MB) just email it to me at david@nutleys.com

And don't put any sound on the clip you send through, we'll worry about that later. So that's four finished clips in the can so far, we actually have a competition here. I've seen three off them and I must say, it's going to be very interesting, they all look pretty good sofar. :)

Smith, that would be great if you could pull a clip out of the bag, let me know how I can help.

So what about the ALAMDV guy, any news on an ALAMDV entry?

Can anyone that hasn't sent in an entry, and is going to) please post here, or PM me so I can get a handle on where we are, who's still in etc.?

This was a real pain to get this far, but it's actually going to work into a really good competition AND a useful resource for people to. Nice one people :)

    My computer is still dead.
Ordered parts yesterday, hopefully I'll make the deadline.

I'm going to need someone to send me the new clip once I get my computer working.

The Iron One, you're just supposed to compress it at 100% Quality Sorenson 3.

Don't worry about 'getting it smaller', the people in charge of this'll do that.

~sighs~ this sucks, I've just converted the movie into tiff files, this was the best colour settings I could get over 256 colours, and I can hardly see the sticks.

I exported them at 16 million colours.

Help me Obi Wan, you're my only hope.

Darklord I'm not sure what your using to make your tiff files, but if your program can do it, you could invert the channels to what ever helps you see the sabers best before you make the tiff files, inverting the luminance or the YIQ channel...

I, too, am back from my ski trip :)

So, if Daft (since you have a couple already I see) you want to take the rest of the clips, and get in contact with me when you have them all, that would be great.

I currently have four clips ready to go from:

    Jace Taran
    Pahket
    EagleI
    Ryan W

    StupidFilms - to come soon,
Dark Lord of the Smith - maybe?
The_Iron_One - Finished, I'm awaiting a response to my PM about uploading
Link64PD - Sooner than you think
sinsistergtx - awaiting computer parts (sounds bad!)

If there is anyone else who is still 'in it' that I haven't mentioned here, please show your face. It's really hard to keep track of stuff otherwise. As these filesizes are coming out happily under 10MB just email them to me if you can, or upload them if you have the webspace.

When is the cut off date- Wednesday was mentioned earlier, is that still the case?
