Lightsaber Duel Thread - Bring Your Lightsaber!

* As SR started to twist his saber around to cut his opponents hilts, SR looked straight ahead as Deprecor seemed to jump, cutting each saber hilt in two. A smirk appeared on his face, his sabers still in mid-air where they should of been had the cut through the hilts been successful. But it felt as though he hadn't really cut them at all. Of course SR knew exactly what that meant, and illusion had been placed as a distraction, to try and make him loose concentration. Though SR knew that he hadn't gotten Deprecor, he knew that he couldn't of been far away. SR stayed focused knowing that his opponent could appear out of thin air at any second. But it was that second that was SR's advantage, as an attack made while masked in the Force reviled your location. SR stepped backward, though he could not sense Deprecor at first, there was the possibility that he would be able to sense the energy from his lightsabers. And that is what he did, he was the one that taught Deprecor the technique of masking ones presence, and like every Force Power it had it's own flaws. He had a rough idea of where he was and what position he was in.

"Where are you Ron?"

He asked as he circled he previous position, he held his blade to where he could sense the energy source, the lightsaber, and he moved away from it. Deactivating his lightsabersm and placing them back upon their clips. He used the Force to bring down a very large piece of the roof upon his previous position. As it fell he used the force to call upon his blade and as it drew near to his previous position he held the blade to where he sensed Deprecor was holding knowing that the piece of roof was large enough to keep him busy. Too big to jump away from in time.*

"Your Master sensed me during one of our duels, I'm surprised he didn't teach you how to, or tell you it's flaws.."

*Deprecor pointed both sabers upward toward his opponent's stomach, though he had made a slight mistake, he was not close enough to the Shadow Jedi to place him in a checkmate, his sabers were held at arms length in front of him, the end of the blade inches from his master's stomach, his arms were straightened, he was not able to thrust them forward and into his former master's abdomen, not able to end the duel here, as he had hoped. He could have lunged at his master, though that attack could be defended. Deprecor cursed himself for his slight miscalculation, though remained hidden. The Shadow Jedi called his name, then, as if he had known where he was, brought a large pillar down on the Sith Apprentice. Deprecor did not have time to roll out of the way, and he brought his arms up instinctively, releasing every ounce of energy he had, channeling it into a wave of Force energy that sent the pillar flying upwards and away from Deprecor. He had made himself visible as the pillar was dropped, as the defense had been fairly draining, and he stood straight, dusted himself, then looked back to his opponent. He waited for his opponent to attack, regaining his energy, using the Force to regenerate his lost energy.*

* Amazed that Deprecor used the Force so well to push away the large piece of the arena, SR again readied himself for another slew of attacks. Instead though, the Sith apprentice simply stood up and dusted himself, and waited for SR to attack. He twirled both sabers around each hand, pointing both forward in the direction of Deprecor; one above his head, the other straight out from his shoulder. He recognised that his opposition was using the time to regain his energy that he had used to push away the pillar. SR decided to use a Force attack this time, at least to start with. He summoned a relatively power lightning attack, is hands glowing a blue colour. He launched the attack on the recovering Deprecor, the attack was so powerful the off-shoots from the main bolt hit the ground causing large creator like holes to form. Knowing that it was quite likely that Deprecor would block it, and since SR wanted to intensify the attack without using more energy he started to move forwards closer to the younger Sith Apprentice. The bolt becoming more and more concentrated, the closer he got. When he was finally close enough to attack with his blades, he did so. Using his right hand blade to lunge at his chest and the other he swung around his torso. That attack was then followed by a barrage of slashes upward from both sides as he swirled around his sabers attacking Deprecor*

*Deprecor, whilst in recovery, was charged by his opponent who threw a large barrage of Force Lightning at the Sith Apprentice. Deprecor simply raised his palm up and absorbed the lightning, though the Shadow Jedi ran closer, and the intensity of the lightning increased. He formed the lightning into an orb, and held it in his palm, using a variation of absorption to contain the lightning. The orb grew larger as he absorbed each fork of lightning, then, as his opponent drew into striking range of a lightsaber, and had raised his lightsaber for an attack, he released the build-up of electricity and Force-energy, channeling his own Force-energy into the attack, throwing both combatants backwards. S_R, even with Force-assisted reflexes, would have an extremely hard time to react to the blast of energy, as Deprecor had released it while the Shadow Jedi was in the midst of an attack, and the blast itself would be hard to contain regardless. Deprecor dug his heels into the surface of the arena, using the Force to maintain his balance and slid backwards. He looked up, curious as to how the Shadow Jedi had attempted to cope with the powerful explosion.*

* As SR came closer to Deprecor, he noticed how he was absorbing the lightning attack into an orb of energy. Even so SR made the decision to attack with his blade anyway. As he did the Sith Apprentice released the energy orb, which would have sent both of them flying backward. As SR brought his lightsaber down for attack, he swiftly returned his arm to cover his body and used Force Resistance, as his body was flung backward. SR didn't feel any pain what so ever from the orb itself, but the energy sent him flying high up into the stands. As he came closer to the stands, he used the force again to protect his body from physical injury. He then stood back up and jumped back out onto the arena. Again taking up the same fight stance he had in his previous move but this time waiting for his opponent to attack*

*Deprecor's opponent had continued his attack regardless of his observation of the orb, and Deprecor was conveniently thrown out of the way of the attack as a result of the blast. The Shadow Jedi had been thrown backwards and into the stands, though he had suffered no visible injuries, and leapt back down onto the arena. Deprecor charged the Shadow Jedi, using the Force to augment his speed, then leapt high into the air, using the momentum of his descent to power his next attack. He timed the attack perfectly, and drove his sabers downward at each of his opponents shoulders. The force of the attack would certainly disorientate his opponent if he attempted if he attempted to defend it, and Deprecor was prepared to use the momentum of his attack to shift into a new attack if his opponent decided to evade it.*

* As Deprecor started to charge at SR, SR used the Force to enhance both his senses and speed. Though he noted that Depreco had also used the Force to speed up his movements. He jumped up through the air and came down on SR with his saber downward. SR knew that it would be difficult to block the attack, as it was timed very well and had immense power with it as well. As Deprecor was about to come down, SR meet swept across both of his blades with one saber, knowing that it was extremely likely to put his opponent off balacnce, as well he also pivoted out of the way and stabbed his lightsaber upward while Deprecor was in mid-air. Since his other blades were pre-occupied with his other, blade the attack would be almost impossible to block, and since SR's speed and senses were both enhanced it would prove to be even more difficult.*

*S_R swept Deprecor's blades aside during his descent, though the Sith Apprentice maintained his balance and used that momentum to spin and face his opponent. He was greeted by a lightsaber, halfway through it's path of attack, thrust upwards at the Sith Apprentice. Darth Deprecor twisted his body sideways, displaying impressive reflexes to avoid the attack, then batted the outstretched blade away and launched a kick at his opponent, spinning once more, continuing to draw on his momentum to power the kick, sweeping his leg upwards toward his opponent's arm.*

* As Deprecor's leg moved towards SR's arm, he simply pulled his arm back towards his body, causing his lightsaber to come across the path of his opponents leg. And just a millisecond later, SR then cartwheel jumped over his opponents leg, whether it was dismembered or not would not of change SR's chosen action. After he cart wheeled he landed at a different angle still quite close to Deprecor, he then with his lightsaber stabbed both backwards at Deprecor's hips. *

*Deprecor's opponent slashed outward toward his outstretched leg, and the Sith Apprentice, once again using momentum to aid him in the duel, threw himself into a flying cartwheel, vaulting over his opponent's saber. His opponent had surprisingly done the same, and stabbed backwards at the Sith Apprentice, who was now well out of range of the attack. Deprecor spun on his heel and charged one more, slashing left, right, vertically, horizantally, thrusting and spinning, his blades a cyclone of crimson energy as he continued to barrage his opponent with a multitude of swift attacks.*

* As Deprecor charged once again at SR attacking him with a barrage of attacks, SR stood his ground countering each attack with nearly an exact mimic, his two lightsaber elegantly blocking each move that Deprecor made. To fully counter attack, SR started to swing left, right, and diagonally at Deprecor at blinding speeds, but only to distract Deprecor from another more powerful attack, after about ten seconds of barraging Deprecor, SR then dexterously swooped down and cut at Deprecor's legs making an X-shape with his lightsaber, then he sliced upward at Deprecor's thighs before finally putting his right leg between Deprecors and then pulling inward to trip him up.*

*The Shadow Jedi countered each attack with ease, then launched his own barrage of attacks in a counter. Deprecor stood his ground, parrying each of the attacks effortlessly. Then his opponent slashed downward, crossing his blades during the attacks, forming an X with his saber path. Deprecor somersaulted over the Shadow Jedi's head, evading the next set of attacks the Shadow Jedi threw at him as well. Deprecor thrust both sabers forward, stabbing simultaneously with both blades, aiming at the neck and lower back.*

* When Deprecor somersaulted over SR, he quickly turned around to face him. As he turned he saw the two blades of his opponent come towards his neck and lower abdomen, SR dropped to the floor then swung his leg around to kick and trip Deprecor up. But he knew that it was very likely that Deprecor would use the Force to block the physical attack, so SR also used the Force to do the same thing , relying on the momentum of the kick to instead push Deprecor's leg to fall over along with the rest of his body. Also as he swung his leg he also swung one of his lightsabers in the exact same movement as his leg only half a metre higher above the ground.*

*His opponent ducked, and attempted to trip him, using his lightsaber as a barrier in case Deprecor would attempt to attack his outstretched leg with his lightsaber. Deprecor had used this very same attack in the past, during a training session with his new master, and was familiar with the means by which the attack could be defended. He batted the lightsaber acting as the barrier between his opponent's leg and his lightsaber away, then quickly lifted his leg to avoid the kick. He drew an X in the air with his sabers, crossing his sabers as he did so, then uncrossing them, slashing diagonally at the crouched Shadow Jedi as he did so.*

* When Deprecor blocked his lightsaber then jumped over SR's leg, SR then returned his feet to a semi-crouch position. As he did so Deprecor brought his lightsabers above his head, in a X-shaped fashion. He started to bring them down upon SR. SR had a slightly difficult choice to make at that point, if he blocked the attack with his own two sabers he would be at a great disadvantage being lower than Deprecor. Instead he rolled to the right, out of the way of the attack and then jumped high up into the air back onto the other side of the arena. The he used the force power of Repulsion, a more advanced form of Force Wave. Holding his right arm up a massive wave of force energy was emitted from his hand, completely ruining the floor around him, smashing into the side pillars causing the to break in two and fall onto the arena. The roof then started to collapse entirely, large chunks bigger than what SR had sent towards Deprecor previously, coming down around them all. SR directed the entire roof at Deprecor, knowing that it would most defiantly keep him occupied. Then with a burst of energy he charge towards Deprecor, avoiding falling debris, bring his lightsabers inwards at his head.*

*The Shadow Jedi rolled away from his attack, then leapt backwards, to the other side of the arena, away from Deprecor. Deprecor stood, watching as his former master raised his hands and quite literally brought the roof of the arena down on the Sith Apprentice, support pillars snapping in two, pieces of debris lifted and thrown at the Sith Apprentice, who, in an impressive display of acrobatics, charged the wall of debris heading toward him, delving deeply into the Force, giving himself completely up to the Dark Side, dodging every piece of debris as it came, leaping, rolling, and slashing at the debris with his lightsabers. He met the Shadow Jedi's charge, throwing himself into a flying leap, his lightsabers held over his head as he went, pointed at his opponent, his body fully extended, parallel to the ground as he went, spinning rapidly, gaining speed as he went.*

* As SR charged towards his former apprentice he was very surprised in his ability to dodge and destroy the debris, coming through and then charging back at SR. He jumped through the air and spun towards SR flying through the air. Instead of slowing down SR met the charge nearly head on, rushing towards Deprecor at great pace. The two Force-User coming closer and closer to each other, SR staring the two red blades in the eyes as they came with in a metre of his head. He then then continued his previous attack but only with one saber, bringing it on top of his opponents two blades then pulling himself up to the air, extending his arm out as far as possible so that he was not touched by the two blades. As he lifted above Deprecor he twisted himself and as he did he slashed at his mid-back, then landing on the other side. Unless Deprecor could fly properly the attack would be basically impossible to avoid.*

*The Shadow Jedi met Deprecor's charge, though vaulted over Deprecor and attempted to attack his exposed back side. His former master had miscalculated Deprecor's speed, and Deprecor flew past him, his outstretched sabers a crimson blur, the features of his body barely distinguishable to the casual onlooker. His flight ended, and the Sith Apprentice came up in a roll and spun quickly to face his master, slightly dizzy. He shook his head and regained himself. He waited for his opponent to attack, pacing slightly.*

* SR was curious to how he miscalculated his attack, but accepted that he made a mistake nonetheless. When the Sith Apprentice's flight ended he turned and face SR again, but did not attack SR, instead waiting for SR to attack him. SR smiled. Twirling his two blades around, then deactivating his orange blade, placing the hilt back onto it's rightful place on his belt. He slowly walked up to the Sith Apprentice, his blade held straight up in front of him, until he was only inches away from him. The as quick as lightning and with a huge amount of strength he brought his blade perfectly down upon Deprecor.*

*Deprecor's opponent flourished his sabers, then deactivated one of his sabers, placed it on his belt, and walked slowly to Deprecor, stopping mere. As soon as S_R moved, Deprecor reacted crossing his blades to block the impressively powerful vertical strike, cathing S_R's lightsabers between his own, then pushed outward, and quickly advanced on his opponent once more, pushing the offensive, knowing his opponent would be hard-pressed to defend Deprecor's twin sabers with only one of his own. Deprecor was relentless in his attack, slashing diagonally at his opponent's shoulders, thrusting at his abdomen, slashing at his neck and chest, spinning, attacking from all sides.*

*Deprecor loved battle, combat, it was what he lived for, the only goal he held was bettering himself, perfecting his sword, bettering himself in the Force, and took any chance he got, challenging any duelist he felt worthy, attempting to perfect his swordplay. This battle had been one he had greatly enjoyed, his former master put up a better fight than Deprecor could have hoped. Deprecor grinned, and continued to press his attack.*

*As soon as Deprecor blocked SR's attack SR stepped backward just slightly a prepared himself for the unyielding attack to come. When Deprecor did start the attack SR was able to block most with his single blade, moving swiftly to block the attack from one side then spinning and blocking from the other. What he did not manage to block in time was the attacks to his neck, he had to simply evade those he could not block in time. To counter attack he himself did a small barrage of attacks, though nothing compared to Deprecor, only going from left to right and up and down. Then curiously he went for a stab at his chest but instead of going right through with the attack he stopped millimetres from Deprecor's body. Curious to see what he would do*

*S_R began his counter, and Deprecor found it easier to defend his attacks when his opponent was armed with a single saber, though it seemed to give the Shadow Jedi a great deal more control over his attacks. S_R finished his counter with a quick thrust to Deprecor's chest, though stopped millimeters from Deprecor's chest. An enormous mistake, one that Deprecor would take advantage of. He stared down at the outstretched blade, then advanced quickly, batting the blade upward with one saber, while simultaneously deactivating the other and thrusting the hilt of the deactivated saber a few inches in front of his opponent's chest, his finger resting on the activation button. If his opponent made any attempt to move, he would activate the saber, driving the blade through his former master.*

* SR knew that Deprecor would take the bait as soon as he started to move his lightsaber to bat away his saber, SR waited until the blades were about to touch then he deactivated his lightsaber, letting Deprecor's blade pass right through, then concurrently with his other hand called his other lightsaber activated it and held it to the hilt coming towards his chest, with his other deactivated blade still sitting in mid-air was that millimetre closer to his chest ready to be activated. All of the moves took place with in the second. His movements happening simultaneously to Deprecor's*

"A stalemate it seems"

*The Shadow Jedi had feinted the attack, and had called his remaining lightsaber to his hand, almost mimicking Deprecor's maneuver, and held the deactivated saber at arms length, his finger also resting on the activation button.*

*The Shadow Jedi asked for a stalemate, and Deprecor nodded solemnly. The stalemate was bittersweet, and though Deprecor was given the chance to improve his swordplay and better himself, he hadn't prevailed in combat. He knew he would not lose the duel, though he had not won it either. He stepped backwards, then leapt high into the rafters, his Force presence flickering and dying as he exited the arena.*
