Lightsaber ignition sound, red - every other color

    why do red sabers have a different sound when it ignites? every other lightsaber sounds normal or i guess different.

    They all don't sound the same. Dooku's and Vader's have a deep sound, Maul's is kind of sharp, and Sidious' "hisses" (many other Jedi's lightsabers do this, too).

    In-universe it could have to do with the red crystals, but it's probably to make them sound more dangerous.
