Lightsaber Inconsistencies

In Jedi Knight II, we learn that Kyle Katarn relinquished his lightsaber and his connection to the Force after he defeated Jerec at the Valley of the Jedi. The lightsaber Luke returns to Kyle is blue. Assuming (since Kyle's reason for relinquishing his saber is that he was concerned about turning to the Dark Side, and the fact that at the start of Jedi Outcast, Kyle is not the new Emperor) that Jedi Outcast forces the LS ending on you. On the LS of the Force, Boc crushes Kyle's green lightsaber (given to him by Morgan who had gotten it from Rahn), and Kyle grabs Yun's yellow one after he dies defending Kyle. My question is where does the blue come from?

 

Maybe when Luke mailed it back to Kyle, it got lost in transit and the NR Mail Service nicked him a replacement off a certain Jedi lying drunk in a bar

 

Well, after Jedi Knight, he builds (at least, we assume he builds it) an orange lightsaber. Then falls to the darkside in MOTS, so presumably he gets rid of the Orange one, perhaps because THE EVIL SITH still inhabited it. And builds the blue one, then decided to hand that into Luke.
