I took an advanced computer graphics course last fall where we had to take a small object, measure all parts to scale, make 3 different views of it, then combine the views with color and value to create a realistic 3D looking image of the object. I chose to model my 0.45 scale anakin skywalker lightsaber from ROTS. Here's links to pics of my work, I'd be interested to hear any feedback on my work. It was very frustating at times, but well worth the time I put in.

This one is all 3 views of the saber done in line drawing

This one is a weighted line drawing

This one is scaled versions of the drawing

This one is the isometric (3D) finished product

This is just fun playing with photoshop effects

The final part of the project, creating an advertisement for our object

Very nice! What program did you use for this? Was it a 3D modeling CAD program or something more taylored for graphics?
