Edmonton Lightsaber Question

Hi All, I thought I'd ask here rather than on the Badlands board..

I am in the market for a custom saber, but not sure what is good etc.

I helped Ang put together her two custom sabers this past weekend and thought they went together rather well.
I've checked out their site and I'd rather not make one too close to hers if possible.

I've also checked out Park sabers, zoiks not cheap..

What other options are there?

I would suggest contacting one of our members on the Calgary forums - JediRanger_007. He's the most experienced member in our group, with regards to custom saber making. He makes his own custom sabers and can give you great advice if you're considering contructing your own. Kris' stuff is simply incredible! The lights, sounds and hilts are crazy cool! He's used parts from the Custom Saber Shop, Parks sabers and others.

Yep Madkau or Jedi Ranger I haven't built a hardware saber in years.

There are limits to what I can do. So if you are wanting totally custom lathing, contact Madkau. He has a lathe, and has turned (lol) out several great customs. And, he is in Edmonton. If you have specific questions, feel free to PM me.

Right off-the-bat, if you are wanting a glowing blade, I would recommend you skip EL and go straight to LED technology.

I think something custom is what I am looking for, but need to give it some thought as to design. I know I want it more
sithly like, but I also need to keep in mind Darth Nihilus requirements as well.

I've always like the shroud on Vader's saber and would like that incorporated or at least where it can be removable if need
be.

I need to sit down and draw what I can see in my minds eye, then at least I'll be able to describe it to you and see if
there is something we can work out.

 

Well, of COURSE you want a custom hilt. Everyone should have a personalized design. That's why TCSS is so great. Buy the basics, and then modify to your heart's content!!

I've seen a couple of Quinlan Vos Sabers out there. Pretty straight forward to do.

 

looking good man, yeah I found a place I can get a Vos saber and a fairly close Luke from jedi so I'm happy
