Lightsaber techniques and fighting styles

    Hey, since lightsabers are such a big part of the appeal in Star Wars I thought it might be worth looking at the different techniques used in combat. I'll start us off with a move I thought might be effective.

    With the lightsaber gripped in your right hand charge your opponent, bringing the saber across and to your left shoulder. As you meet your opponent swing out with your right arm, at the same time push off with your right foot and roll to your left. The idea is for the first attack to come out from the right and with your body's momentum a second, quick and wickedly angled strike to come in from the left, the diving roll you perform dodging an attack from your opponent. Flip up onto your feet from the ground to resume combat.

    How effective might such an attack be?

    Inty Edit: This isn't really an SWC topic. Lightsaber styles are more a fit for EUC, and you could probably also find good feedback in existing threads in Role Playing Resource and Fan Fiction resource. :)
