WHAT????!!!!???? C'MON!!! Between his screw up on my saber and the lack of caring to correct it and now your issue, I wouldn't recommend this guy.

Brian, talk with me tomorrow about it. I'm planning my next saber and it's going to be another custom build...this time by me.

    Customization out of necessity
I scratched the heck out of my watch on vacation so I sent it out to be bead blasted
to remove the black PVD finish... Here are the results:
The last image before it got all scratched up (Sand, rocks and kayaking and PVD coatings don't mix!)

File that last one under "stuff"

That watch is now unique out of the other 149 made.
I've had 4 offers on it already. I'm not selling it, it's #42.

Did you see the new Archon from ultrasabers?

I did. It would work as a decent stunt saber for dueling, but I wouldn't use it as my dominant "Luke" saber. It has the wide neck, and if I wanted that I would have just gone with the FX Luke. Also, I'm not too big on the button being in the middle of the grooves.

    Then again, I'm picky. :p

Are the new FX sabers in the stores scaled? I haven't taken that close of a look at them.

The kids ones? I'm not sure if they're accurately scaled, but they are sized for kids. The hilts are plastic and the blade has a string of (fewer) LEDs, so it's kind of a halfway point between the normal FX line and the kids' telescoping toy sabers.

I'm just saying solely for dueling as Luke, it'd work well for you

That it would. If Jadzia ever breaks down beyond repair I may pick one up.

No, Jadzia's the first Ultrasaber I bought back in '09. Picked it up because it (at the time) was the one that looked the closest to Luke's ROTJ hilt.

Looks like U.S. just released a new saber that's, for all intents and purposes, a TPM Obi-Wan hilt.

It's a little off to accommodate for the activation button, and I'm curios as to exactly how large it is, but that aside it looks pretty slick.

I'm interested in the Phantom V2 staff from Ultra Sabers with the RGB option so I can use it as both a Jedi or a Sith, but I am mainly going to use as two separate sabers because I am not the best at using double bladed sabers.(hit myself enough during practices)

Finally got my saber back from SaberForge. Seems to be working okay now.

Who's handy with a Dremel? I want to make the areas around the activation box a little less sharp.

For something like that sandpaper and a Scotch Brite pad would be best, power tools can take off too much if you're not careful... You can take it off slowly, but you can't ever put metal back once it's gone!

Agreed. A dremel is way too aggressive.

I decided not to send my saber back to Saberforge for fear I may not see it until after the Bison's game... if at all.

I started work on my new sith blade. Ran into an issue with the battery pack and i'm waiting to order a new protection circuit board as the one i have may be defective. Hopefully, i'll have some more progress soon.

I received my sound fonts from Madcow (Genesis Custom Sabers). I'm going with his Revenge sound font and it sound great - 10 times better than the standard fonts supplied with the Petit Crouton.

It's a shame that SF glued my MicroSD card in place. I could have updated my sound to something a whole lot better.

Jon, is there no way to cut through the glue?

I was able to sand the activation box area down a bit to feel much safer. I'm going to epoxy the piece that broke off in transit and then it should be good to go for events.

In the world of neverending problems...

The motion sensor on my saber is going ape. I'll turn the saber on and the motion sound will just repeat over and over and over whether the saber actually moved or not. The sensitivity settings don't change a thing. It's so odd.
