So this is very interesting what does he mean about the lightsabers I wonder ?

 

Mostly Bespin Saber+ Kylo's Saber that's basically it.

Its something important in a film we know nothing (substantial) about ! It could be a major element ! Something about Force Crystals perhaps ?

 

Surely it isn't being insinuated that an inanimate object can 'provide access' to the Force.

Although Yoda did teach Luke "You, Me The ROCK. And even the Land and the SHIP"

I always looked at it from the point of view that The Force gave a Jedi the potential to feel the object not necessarily that the object has Force energy itself.

The question is invalid as all kinds of styles were used.

It's like asking are they going to use the flying styles of ships from ANH or TESB or ROTJ or TPM or AOTC or ROTS?

We already pretty much know Rey's fighting style is right out of Yoda's playbook for one.

 

There are no crystals in lightsabers. That is Expanded Universe nonsense. They're just weapons what jedi use instead of blasters. Why? because they're non offensive and are best used for defence, not attack. If this movie is about lightsaber crystals, then i'm off to the pub instead.

Oh, look... "Legends". There is no Canon tab on the "Force crystal" entry, so it's meaningless right now.

There are crystals in lightsabers. See SW:Rebels, TCW, Heir to the Jedi, and more for evidence.

 

They are swords granted their ability to deflect blaster bolts make them relevant and useful in universe where blasters are common (wouldnt work nearly as well against guns although they might be hot enough to just instantly melt bullets). But just because they have more defensive properties then a blaster dont mean they lack in offense.
