Yep, that basically sums it up. Now lock this topic already Mr. mod.

 

The editing was poor.
Some scenes that were cut, should've been in there (family, bedroom and Senate scenes.)
Some dialogue could've been improved.

All in all, it wasn't a bad film and parts of it are very good. It isn't as bad as some will argue.

I said on this very forum, on May 18th 2002, that for me AOTC was the best Star Wars since 1980, and I still stand by that now. It really is a truely, deeply, great movie.

But, really, my point is that a thread like this can get fairly spammish in nature. It's not a godawful thing, but giving it a more focused topic might help generate more in-depth discussion.

 

No, I did not like AOTC.

I always get a big kick out of wannabe mods calling for the lock of a thread that never happens. Almost as satisfying as seeing someone type "In before the lock" in a thread that ends up getting to 5 or 6 pages.

 

Yes, loved it. My second favourite after ESB.

 

ILM did a great job.

 

It was great to finally see the jedi in action in the arena. Before AOTC we would only get to see 2 jedi in action at a time, 3 in TPM.

 

AOTC sucks. As does TPM, ANH, TESB and ROTJ.
