Lee GoldBerg was great. Especially when he showed up with some of his own SW toys. The hightlight of that was the Today Show reporter using Jedi Rob as a seat.

And Amit, that tent Zippy made on the first over night was great. It only fit two people and everyone else stood in the rain but it was a great Architectural feat by Zippy. However a canopy will be great.

And everyone should go to the first day. It was a great event for Line 1 and it should only be better this time around.

    Can't wait to sigh up!

A couple of questions, I have...

    1) Do line people taking overnight shifts want donations of things? Old camp blankets, tents, etc?

    2) Does anyone know roughly how many shifts one would need to take to get SIX tickets (would such a thing even be possible?)

Just about any donation would be accepted with open arms, and maybe even a kiss for luck if the staff member you present it to is in a good enough mood! Of course all disclaimers about not being able to guarantee that everything will be in one piece by the time the line ends would have to apply. Also, we're not sure yet about having tents on the line. We were given permission for the one canopy, but that may be all we're allowed. We shall be patient...

Unfortunately one wouldn't be allowed 6 tickets, unless all six of you are signed up and do your time on the line...

    Hmmm...clouded my memory is...
All the line members kinda mushed in with the press to make one big pile o' people it seemed like...
If I had to guess I'd say roughly 50 line members? MS, LS, SJL, Rick, anyone remember?

If I had to guess I would say more than 50 showed up for Day 1. If you count Non Line members I would say close to 100. We did have all of those Martians.

Oh and were many people wearing costumes ...or were they wearing them the day the movie came out? Me and my mom are working on some kick aZz robes(although they strangely resemble a trench coat with a hood, hmmmmm)

Indeed there were costumes, I remember a few Leias, an Imperial guard, and Stormtroopers offhand (this was before the 501st hit NY and costuming thermally detonated accross the country). There were even more costumes on the night of the premiere too, I'll never forget the guy who came dressed as George Lucas, that was pretty funny...

50 sounds about right. It seemed to grow as the day went on. However, those martians can stay at Mars. Oh, and that guy dressed as GL was a riot.

costumes on the first day of the line? sweetness! maybe if the weather is nice, i can drop by. not sure how long i'd stay, since camping out in a white gown probably isn't the world's smartest idea, but i could always make a cameo. :)

    Mystery Sith,

Am I understanding you correctly? Did you say that members of SWNYC will get first dibs at signing up for shifts? Will that information be revealed to SWNYC members?

    Thanks.
