Discussion Your Story Ideas For Future Films/Spinoffs

I could definitely go for a Obi-Wan spinoff.

Set it on Tatooine and involve Maul somehow. Or start it on Tatooine and have Obi-Wan need to leave briefly to take care of something (say, somebody on some far away planet uncovers evidence that the twins lived, or something, and Obi-Wan has to destroy the data before Vader or the Emperor can take it.)

There's so much that could be done with an Obi-Wan movie, and Ewan McGregor would love another shot at being a Jedi again. I'm actually bummed we're not getting this instead of one of the other announced movies, LOL.

There are a lot of folks on here calling for a Boba Fett movie. I would like to see that, but with him portrayed as the noble-antagonist, not as the hero. Of course that would likely require pitting him against a character such as Han Solo, who gets mixed reviews on the idea of any further back-story.

What I would be most interested in is in meeting Boba Fett's team. While his reputation is that of a lone-wolf type of personality, you don't become one the most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy without having at least a few minions. Perhaps the other bounty hunters with him when they were being briefed by Vader in Ep5 were working for Boba, not there as his competition?

Ben skywalker. was he mentioned I can't remember sure we got the red hair going from Mara but otherwise.

 

If Luke did have a son then no it was not mentioned, but it is extremely unlikely.

Why would they use Pixar when they have their own in house animation studio?

 

December 25th 2020 is the next time Christmas falls on a Friday. I hope Disney has a spinoff scheduled for that time.

If Avatar 2 gets pushed to mid-December 2018 then Cameron would presumably occupy mid-December 2020 as well (he is planning a trilogy). With that said, I doubt he'd move even if Disney took that December 2020 slot.

 

I wonder if there will be a "Rogue Two" about the Bothans leading up to ROTJ.

 

I would love to see a KOTOR or something about the Darkside. Call it Sith Wars.

 

How about a story about someone who lives under the oppression of the Empire or the First Order and their goal is to escape to a free planet?

You just want to see Yoda yodel.

 

The KOTOR era is where it's at. It needs to be before Yoda or any known character existed and far enough back to where there is no canon that establishes any plot constraints. Anyone can die and nobody's fate is known. The "sith" and "jedi" of this time period could both operate in a grey area without dogma.

Honestly, I don't want to see anything else that's 'filling in the gaps', with the exception of RO (because vader). Knowing the ultimate fates of these characters and seeing backstory is boring. The Han Solo adventure sounds dicey to me. Recasting that role is a dangerous move. A bad casting choice there causes major problems, and they're taking that risk in order to tell a story we already roughly know.

 

Here are the spin-offs the Milli Falcon and I are keen to watch, if they become reality:
- Obi-Wan Kenobi (timeline between ROTS and ANH)
- Yoda (how he trained the Jedi during the period from TPM until his passing in ROTJ)
- Qui Gon Jinn (set before TPM and how he picked Obi-Wan as his apprentice - we don't know much about him as of now)
- Mace Windu (yet another character with not much of a backstory, a spin-off movie between AOTC and ROTS is good)
- Events between ROTJ and TFA (many stories can be told from the viewpoint of the major characters, since 30 years is a long time)

 

I like the Pixar BB8 idea. How about making it about all of the droids? I do want a Boba Fett movie still. Yoda prequel. Chewbacca.

 

I would like to see

Obi-wan (Ewan McGregor perfect age to continue the story)

Adventures of Boba Fett (make him like Indiana Jones) he gets knocked down, but keeps coming back, he actually struggles to get his bounty. First scene can be him crawling out of the Sarlaac pit, and then it goes from there.

Yoda around 100 years old, young and not really wise yet. Learns about the force, the Sith destroy his home. Yoda runs into Maz, maybe she gives advice to him that changes his life around. He sets off for his destiny to become a Jedi Knight.

Chewbacca - how he came to be co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon and a dear friend to Cpt. Solo, although, this could be in Han Solo's story, we have to wait and see.
