Pretty sure I found this site through Wookieepedia's links on its main page. Not sure how I found the Wook, though.
Ha, I actually just remembered how I found this site... ...I wanted to know if I should read the Jedi Prince series. No, seriously, it was my first post on this site. I looked for the most popular Star Wars forum, and got this one. I, of course, decided to read the Jedi Prince series, and have never once regretted it. And since we're giving out ages, turned 20 not too long ago.
Aha this guy right here, It's been about 2 years but I decided to reactivate the old 4 year account and participate a little bit. Missed you guys
I'm 39, and I've been here since April of 1999. Which makes me the member that's been here the longest (of everyone who has posted in this thread so far). Unless I missed somebody.
I'm pretty sure I'd seen TFN many times before I actually joined. I just had never realized there were forums here until about a year ago when I was posting at the TOR website's forums. I figured there had to be a major Star Wars forum somewhere.
I must confess that I keep checking this thread to see if our old friend Excellence is going to pop in from Down Under and say hello. Tis been years since his last post, but there was hardly another poster on these forums who had such a unique, creative, and fun way of getting a point across! The longer I am here, the more I remember old posters who have left the boards. Old pals like Ton_G, Brett_Bass, and numerous others. --Adm. Nick
I like his writing just fine... however, I think his plots, especially when stretched out over 9 books, necessitate an awful lot of horrible contrivances to make them work. For instance, an inept, bickering Jedi Council... who end up killing each other.
I don't think I could leave this place. If it draws new people in because they found us googling GoDV, that's just... um... special.
