I started hanging around here in '98 sometime, but didn't get around to joining until Dec 2000 and mostly continued to lurk. My last post (in one of Darth Kevin's threads, as it happens) was a few months after my second child was born - he's nine now. That really makes me feel like an old-timer...
There should at least be a 10 year anniversary trophy or something. BTW, what is the purpose of trophy points? Whatever they are, I want more of them.
HAHA I started coming again too!!! I used to visit these forums daily in times long gone. Now I'm posting in the episode 7 social countdown again
Just a young padawan here compared to the rest of you. Been here only since 2009 I think and I was googling some Star Wars stuff and decided to register on the forums to participate and look around.
This thread has made me want to listen to Still Alive, and I have realised how apt the lyrics are for the future of the EU.
It's Ulixes, actually, if you want to point out the Latin version. Ulysses is an Anglicization. So is Odysseus of course. Still, Οδυσσεια is a Greek work.
When I went back to the Jedi Council on Dantooine after finding the first Star Map, I told them no one had died. They yelled at me. I was telling the truth!!
I'm 30. Lurked from '01-'03 then finally joined because of the CW comics. Unfortunately my interest in SW EU has declined to the point that with the Disney announcement I decided that after the CW cartoon is over I'm out.
Well, he got the point across that he couldn't get a point across, but with a unique style. --Adm. Nick
Oh I don't know... Ex's image of a Vong on an organic crapper, treating its every bowel movement as an act of worship to the gods remains kind of unforgettable!
I couldn't say that I'm an old timer, maybe a mid timer? I joined on March 2007. I first heard about these boards through Star Wars.com back when they still had forums. They had this place listed as one of the bigger 'unofficial Star Wars sites' and for a bit I lurked on here. At this time I had only had the Internet for about 3-4 months, December of 2006 was the first time I had ever had Internet in my life. And my age is 32.
